Hello my beautiful friends, Please do not throw chappals, belan at me I know I literally disappear but cannot explain the havoc that I am going through... However, I did manage to right this chapter...And this story is almost at the end. One or more chapters to go...
Chapter 25
"Bhai there is an another story that has come up regarding, Mr. Fernandez's father," Aman said.
Arnav looked at him, "and that is?" he said and waited for him to speak up.
"I am not sure how much it is true but there are speculations that Mr. Fernandez father's death is not natural. It could be rumour too...However, if we do think that this is true than the point of doubt goes towards on only one person and that's no one else but Aditiya himself, even though he is in a jail right now..."
Expression on his face did show that this relevation did get to him. Because if by any chance if this was true that Mr. Fernandez death indeed was a murder than he had to be so careful now. The tone that Aditiya had talked to him in the jail replayed in his mind and the way he sounded it did seem that he could anything to take revenge on him. And how one can forget anyways, what had happened in his and Khushi's life was created by not only his so called wife, but this man who was still alive.
"Call the police and get the inside story..." he demanded.
"Bhai, I believe that the police is keeping mum on this matter right now. Even the news channels are just specualting and waiting for the police to reveal what really happened to him. After all Mr. Fernandez was a big image in a business world."
Arnav believed that may be the real cause is not clear yet but sooner or later he would get to know even though police has nothing yet to share, and media will shed light on anything and everything, and he was not new to anything in the past the mistakes that he had done were not something was kept hidden.
"Whatever it is we soon will get to know," he voiced out, and Aman agreed.

"Khushi, please eat something," her mother insisted.
"No!"
Hazel giggled as she stood beside her Nani and saw her mother fuss.
"Hazel, that is really mean, stop giggling," she complained.
"Why are you scolding a poor child?" her mother asked. "Whatever you are doing is something that can make anyone laugh."
"Mom please stop!"
"You stop whinning and eat..."
"Mom, I won't"
"Why you won't mumma?" Hazel asked. "Are you mad because dad has not called you yet?"
Khushi looked away from her.
"But that is not true, Khushi, he did call in the morning but that's when you were sleeping. I was gonna wake you up, but he was the one who stopped me..."
"Then why he is not picking up the phone right now? You know I am really worried for him," she said and now she had tears in her eyes. Her mother was afraid that she will have a break down. And to be honest she had no reply to why was not really Arnav was not picking up the phone. But she did believe if Arnav had said that he will call it means he will. Really this is something that she was having hard time making her understand.
"Mummy I think dad is busy. I did talk to him and he said he wants to talk to you and will call you when you are up."
Khushi looked at her. Mrs. Gupta was praying atleast now she listens to Hazel atleast. However, it did not seem like she was gonna listen anyways.
"Mumma, if you won't eat I will not eat either," Hazel said. Mrs. Gupta looked at her. "I was waiting for you to get up and then I told Nani that I will only eat when you will."
Mrs. Gupta had a hard time to suppress her laugh, but she managed. She did not want to mess up with her efforts.
"And mom and you know my little brother or sister has no eaten yet..."she said as she pointed towards her tummy.
Mrs. Gupta was quite convinced how smart Hazel really was. First she doubted but now she was hundred percent convinced that Khushi was right when she was telling her that it was Hazel herself that she made Arnav come back from Italy.
"Aww!" Khushi said, "You have not eaten either yet?" she asked.
Hazel pouted and nodded. "Okay, come three of us will eat now..."
Hazel looked at her Nani when she knew she had lied and in reality she just had finished eating.
"Do not worry about her, Khushi, I will feed her, but right now you just worry about eating."
"Okay, but can you please check why Arnav has not called yet?"
"Do not worry, my love he will. When in the morning he called he did sound busy. But if you want I can try."
"Thanks mom..."
"Okay, Hazel, let's go and eat..."
"Bye, mumma..."
"Hazel..." Khushi said.
"Yes, mom..."
"Next time I do not want you to lie..."
"Lie?" she asked innocently.
"That you have not eaten..."
Hazel giggled when she knew that her lie had been caught. She went to her and kissed her cheek," sorry mumma, I won't..." and left with Mrs. Gupta.
"Nani, how come mumma came to know that I was lying..." was the first thing Hazel asked Mrs. Gupta.
"She is a mother, my love. Anyways, you wanna call your dad and see what he is doing..."Mrs. Gupta said. She knew that she will do a great job at it...
"Okay..." she said.

"I want you to get me out of here," he said and he made sure he said it in a way that the person whom he was talking to heard him. "You know that if there is anyone at the moment who know your entire truth is its me...And if you tried to outsmart me, I bet you I would have played my trick and you will be kept thinking what really happened. Do not even fail to think that I am just threatening you, if I have to rot in the jail I will have no problem bring the whole truth out."
"Would you shut up, and stop being overdramatic, I told you I will get out of the jail I soon as possible. Right now I myself is badly stuck here..."
"You understand this that it is my problem whether you are stuck or whatever, I am only giving you a three days, do something else as soon as the fourth day start, I am gonna reveal everything to the police. Right now my image is already f**ked up anyways!"
"Don't you worry about that because you are living in India here to remove every crime is as easy as snapping, and this is not the first time we have gotten into a situation as this one. When we are so close to our target you are talking about deadlines, you know that as calm and slow we go in this matter, better it is."
"You are f**ked up, you know how it is like to be in a jail?"
"I said calm down, I totally get what you are going through, and why are you thinking I am not trying?"
"Listen if you were I would have been out of here the day I got in..."
"Okay, I will free you, but as you said three days, that are too less because I need more time than that..."
"This means you are not trying..."
The person was now getting annoyed. "Did I ever say that? I am saying that I will try my best and to be honest this deadline thing makes me more nervous. When you can yourself see that I am trapped here myself."
"Okay, fine, get me out of here as soon as possible and seriously this only depends how much I can keep patient, when my frustration got best of me, I will disclose everything..."
"Okay, now your ten minutes are over," the constable said.
"Shut the f**k up," Aditiya said angrily to the constable.
"Okay, now you go and I am working on freeing you, you also talk to your dad if he can do something..."
Aditiya hung up the phone feeling so annoyed that his brain had stopped working, but somehow he tried to calm himself. He knew if he had to talk to his father, he had to call him to meet up at the jail and that was not possible anytime soon, but the next day. That only made him more angry than he already was.
***
Khushi almost jumped in an excitement and her mind had already calmed down and all the negative thoughts in her mind had ended when her phone bell rang and it was no other but Arnav. She had tears in her eyes, that finally he had got time to talk to her. Out of nowhere she had this idea in her mind of not to pick up the phone even though talking to him was the most important task on her mind right. She wanted him to wait and make him realise how does it feel when his phone calls are not returned.
"What does he think of himself?" she said, as she looked at the phone.
Now on the other side Arnav was worried that why she was not picking up the phone. He was worried the phone calls that he did not pick up were important. He just hoped she was fine.
"Khushi, why are you not picking up the phone now?" Mrs. Gupta said.
"Why he was not picking mine?" she argued.
Mrs. Gupta shook her head. Her pregnancy hormones were high right now she guessed. "And you stop taking his side, I called him 23 times to be exact and I ignored one call of his you are saying why are doing that?"
"He might be busy now he is calling, answer the phone call dear...He must get worried..."
Khushi was admanat...She did not pick up the call second time either...Now Arnav was really worried. He called Gupta house immediately...Mrs. Gupta told Khushi it was Arnav's phone.
"Do not dare to pick it up, else I won't talk to you..."
"What kind of stubborness is this Khushi?"
"Why is she not picking up the phone and no one else either are picking up the phone at home," Arnav said aloud to himself...
Anjali heard him as she was walking past him. "Chote, what's wrong?" she asked.
"I don't know why Khushi is not picking up the phone," he said. Anjali felt good that atleast he had told her his problem. "I did talk to Khushi like half an hour ago. In fact she sounded sad and angry."
"That's why because I did not pick her phone, but my phone was on silent and I was busy with some important work."
"Hmm...Do you want me to call her for you?" she asked. "She might not be just not picking your phone calls."
"No thanks, I don't really need any favour..." he said and even though he did not want to sound angry. Anjali smiled, "Okay, but don't worry Khushi is fine...You keep on calling her she will answer you. Right now all she is feeling is overwhelmed with the situation and the pregnancy..."
He pretended he was not paying attention but he clearly did, when he tried Khushi's phone and again she had not picked up it was clear that he needed Anjali's help. As she was gonna walk out, he said, "Uh...will you be able to call Khushi for me, my phone battery is dead," he lied.
Anjali smiled to herself and had already dialed Khushi's phone. "Here you go you can return the phone when you are done," she said and left.
As he was calling from Anjali's phone Khushi picked up the phone thinking it was Anjali herself, and least she thought Arnav would not use her phone to call her. "Hello, di..."
"It is me," Arnav said. "Why were you not picking up the phone?" he asked.
"What? you called?" she sounded as if she had no idea.
"Yeah, check your phone, I was calling you."
"Oh okay, have you checked that I called you too?" she asked. "Like not many times but 23 times, I guess..."
Arnav now realised she was being sarcastic. "I am sorry, Khushi. I was busy. I did call you in the morning but you were sleeping. As far as I know you do not sleep that much...What happened did you sleep well last night?"
Now her anger had calmed down. "Hmm...I was worried..." she said.
"You have any idea how scared I was when you did not pick up the phone..."
"I was going through the same and you know that I am pregnant right? You should not be making me tensed..."
"I am sorry!" he said.
Without realising they were acting like a real husband wife for the first time. And by the time they realised it they were laughing together, talking to each other, and in the afternoon they decided to talk and not finished until they realised it was evening. Even when their phone decided to give up on them and they had to switch to their landlines.
"So I hope you are not mad at me anymore," he said.
"Nope, I am not..." she said. "But what were so busy at?" she asked.
"I was busy thinking of you, you see I did not even see your missed calls..."
"Now you are joking with me, right?"
He bit her tongue, "Hmm..."
"Bhai," Aman said as he came into the room.
Arnav told him to wait," Khushi, if you do not mind can I talk to you later? I have got to go now...I promise I will be back. And whenever you feel like you can call me and I will answer you..."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah yeah...I will have my phone with me and not on silence at this time..."
"Okay," she said and hung up the phone.
Khushi could not help but smile and laugh to herself. The feeling that she was going through was the best feeling that she never remember feeling in recent years. She searched for his picture on her phone, and more she had a glance at his picture more she smiled brightly to herself.
