PART A
It was a late night hour in Mumbai but streets were still filled with people who were traveling for their daily works & needs.
ACP Sameer Rathod Crime Branch Mumbai opened his apartment & changed into his casual clothes & went to kitchen to check some milk for coffee when suddenly a voice alerted him from behind saying "Rathore tum aa gaye".
He looked back & saw his lost friend & now his apartment partner. Sameer nodded at him & said "Rawte bahut raat ho gayi hai tum sooye nahin?"
Arjun smirked & said "tum duty ki vajah se jaag rahe hoo aur main aadat ki vajah se "
Sameer asked "Chai piyoge main bana raha hoon"
Arjun said "rehne do wo kya hai na Rathore mera insurance expire ho raha hai aur premium bharna abhi baaki hai isliye tumhare haath ki chai peene ka risk main nahin loonga main banata hoon tum jaake thoda aaram karo"
Sameer shook his head in disbelieve & moved to his room . He lay on his bed & started thinking about what happened with him in last one year. He had lost his entire ETF team; his love Aisha to whom he couldn't even confess that he loved her, his lost friend Arjun had killed Sikander after search of 3 months through the data & file he gave him & more over his support.
When he returned back from Delhi he came to know that entire ETF team got killed in a blast along with Aisha. He after that realized that it was all his ill fate that he didn't even got much to do Arjun had already closed the case & avenged his team death but untimed death of Aisha made him realize the exact pain of losing someone dear.
He had always thought that Arjun was responsible of what happened with Roshni who was his only dear friend but after death of Aisha he understood that it was all circumstances which were responsible & also Sikander was really a hard nut to crack.
So after he started to help Arjun & gave him some concrete data of Sikander which could help him officially to track him. Sameer was left with no courage & words to apologize to his dear friend & he didn't even want to but he could only understand his friend now that how he must be feeling after losing his love.
His chain of thoughts broke when Arjun entered with two mugs of hot liquid in his hands ne containing coffee for Sameer & other having tea for him. Arjun placed the mugs on the table & picked his tea & started sipping silently.
After a while Sameer said with bit hesitance "Rawte wo Sikander ke case main kal gawaahi hai uske baad uski saza pakki hai Commissioner Sir ne kehlewaaya hai ki hearing ke waqt hum dono ko maujood rehna hai"
Arjun was sitting silently listening to all this. After few seconds he took a deep sigh & said "theek hai Rathod mujhe time bata dena main paunch jaaounga"
Sameer nodded to his friend & Arjun walked out of the room without giving a glance back. Sameer knew he was bit hurt but couldn't do anything to ease his pain & he was in the same pain. He gathered some courage inside & went to his room to speak to him.
He entered in his room & saw him standing & looking outside the window towards the stars carefully. He placed his comforting hand on his shoulder he turned his face & he looked into the painful eyes of his friend all this must have raised his pain few notches higher.
Sameer said calmly "Rawte main samajh sakta hoon kitum kya sooch rahe hoo par.."
Arjun replied in a range of anger "Nahin Rathore tum kabhi nahin samajh paaoge aur ye baat dubaara mat kehna ki tum mera dard samajh sakte hoo .. aaj job hi ho raha hai tumhari vajah se ho raha hai kyu rooka tumne use maarne se ?..
tum aur tumhare ethics & laws kya kiya kannon ne aaj bhi Roshni ke case main sivaaye peeshiyoo ke kuch nahin hua aur ab mujhe bhi farak nahin padta kya isse Roshni Vaapis aa jaayegi? Kya main vaapis se jeena shuru kar paaunga ? Tum Roshni ko dost kehte hona ye hai tumhari dosti? uske quatil ko saza tak nahin dene di tumne "
Sameer too lost his cool & said "Really Rawte ! ye kehne ka haqq mujhe tumse zayada hai main fir bhi nahin kehta ..
har baat keh ke jatana zaroori nahin hota aur yadi main tumhe nahin rookta to uske khoon ke ilzaam main tumhe faasi ho jaati kyuki tum shayad bhool gaye hoo ab tum ACP nahin ho pata nahin apne junnon main tumhe apne se jude logo ka dhyan kyu nahin aata" with that he walked out of the room in a huff with anger on his face.
Arjun sighed in defeat & realized his mistake that smacked himself for hurting Sameer. He ran his fingers through his hairs to calm himself & went to his room to apologize. Sameer was sitting with his arms covering his face & his head leaning on head rest of the chair.
Arjun came & spoke softly "Rathod wo.."
Sameer with calm but stern voice said "Haan Rawte ab bhi kuch kehna baaki reh gaya hai kya? Yadi nahin to to jaao aur so jaao raat kaafi ho chuki hai"
Arjun said "Rathore dekho mera wo matlab nahin tha .."
Sameer said "Maine tumse koi explanation nahin maanga hai Rawte aur na mujhe tumhe koi explanation dene ki zaroorat hai ..
aur tum kya samjhate hoo ki sirf jin rishtoo ke naam hote hai unhi ka haqq hota hai kabhi kabhi benaam rishte khoon ke rishto se bhi zayada bade hote hai Rawte par shayad ye samjhne ki kaabliyat nahin hai tumme" with that he turned his face opposite in anger.
Arjun knew he had hurt his friend today & yes he was right might be it Roshni or Aisha he had an unnamed relations with both one was his best friend & other was his love.
He sighed & said "tumne theek kahah Rathore yadi ye rishte samjhne ki kaabliyat hoti to aaj main aisa nahin hota" with that he closed his eyes in pain & moved out of the room.
Sameer sank back on his chair & thought that how after a long chase they came to know about real Sikandar & finally they got hold of him after 3 long months that too along with all vital proofs. Arjun was about to kill that Sikander but he stopped Arjun as it could impact his life & also he too didn't want to lose his only friend left thou he is lost one but still his best friend who needed him.
After a knocking some sense in Arjun's head he handed over Sikander to police & now he was under police custody & also a strong case was lounged on him & till his punishment was decided he was kept under Police remand that too under special secured cell.
After that Sameer took Arjun along to stay with him as he didn't wanted to leave him alone first he could understand his pain & second he too wanted a support in his lonely life.
He knew well things will not be easy for him & for Arjun too so now they both stood together supporting each other.
After a while his thoughts were broken by a sudden call on his cell he picked up the cell & checked the call it was from Crime Branch. He answered the call saying "Hello ACP Rathore here"
A feeble voice from the other end said "Jai Hind Sir Main Kamat bol raha hoon wo yaha pe ek vaardaat ho gayi hai ek bomb Blast hua hai sir aap jaldi aa jaayiye IG sir ne bola hai phone karne ko"
Sameer said "Theek hai main abhi aata hoon tum loog waha paunch jaao aur mujhe address message karo"
He said "Wo kar diya hai sir aap Jaldi paunchiye Jai Hind" with that call got disconnected. Sameer got up from his chair & changed into his crisp cotton shirt & pant took the SUV keys in his hand & placed it in his pocket & tucked his gun in his hostler & moved out of the room.
Arjun who was in the next room got alerted when SUV left the house. Arjun sighed & laid back he knew his friend once again got stuck in some emergency case he got up from the bed & started to wait till he returns back home again.
Arjun sat down on the chair taking a deep sigh & thought that both of them will not change their way of thinking as they both are equally rigid. Arjun started missing Roshni again who acted as a bridge between the two when they use to fight. She uses to patch them up once again.
FB STARTS
Roshni , Sameer & Arjun are having a chat on some case as both are having a different point of view & this turns into a big fight. Roshni is watching all this closely she didn't said anything till they are arguing normally.
As soon as she sees things getting serious she yells "Just hold on guys tum dono dost hoo jaani dushmano ki tarah kyu lad rahe hoo?"
Arjun said "apne is dost se bolo shuru isne kiya tha iske ethics & laws aise to ho chuke case solve"
Roshni said "to kya khatam tum karoge Arjun ?.. come on dekho tum dono ke raaste alag hai par mazil to ek hi hai na to fir ladna kis cheez ke liye ? dekho maine tum dono jaise officers bahut kam dekhe hai aur acchi cheeze saheej ke rakhte hai ab gussa chodo aur gale lago "
Both turn their backs to each other. Roshni glares at both of them picks her purse & poses to move out saying "ab main tabhi aaungi jab dono aapas main settle kar loo "
Sameer & Arjun both look at each other helplessly & Arjun said "Ok OK ab nahin ladenge .." & hugs Samper& says "I am sorry yaar "
Sameer smiles & hugs him back. Roshni passes them a beautiful smile & says "ab lade na to main sach main chali jaaoungi fir dhondte rehna mujhe"
Sameer says "we are sorry Roshni paaka ab nahin ladenge" & Roshni smiles back at both of them

Here Sameer reached at the Crime Spot soon & started his investigation of the blast. Kamat & Sameer both collected some left evidences & send them to the Forensic department for investigation. After that he returned to the Crime Branch to report some of his case findings to IG himself.
It was a high profiled case & also few Powerful people were involved in all this as Sameer predicted so he needed special powers for the same before he could pursue further in the case he collated all the findings & started his investigation.
That night itself Sameer grabbed the man who planted the bomb at the site. Sameer was taking him to the custody when suddenly he took out the knife hidden inside his pocked & stabbed it into the stomach.
Sameer yelped in pain & that person started running to save himself. Before he could move further & move away Sameer took out his mouser & fired at his leg & shoulder in the same condition & after that went to him & gave him few hard blows.
Man went down on his knees yelping in pain after the impact. Kamat who was along with Sameer with few trusted constables took Sameer & that man both for Medical attention at nearest Hospital.
Kamat knew that Arjun is right now living with Sameer & when doctor told that Sameer's condition is serious & they should inform his family Kamat called Arjun.
He knew Arjun as he was famous in the department because of his rude & arrogant nature. Kamat called Arjun from Sameers phone & Arjun picked up the call in the second ring as he was awake.
Arjun asked in a concerned tone "Haan Rathore kya hua? sab theek hai na"
Kamat said "Arjun saab Kamat bol raha hoon Rathore saab ko chaaku laga hai thodi serious condition main hai kya aap aa sakte hai?"
Arjun asked in a panicked voice "Kya ! Rathore ko chaaku laga hai Kahah hai wo?"
Kamat replied in a feeble voice "Jaslook Hospital main hai main abhi abhi unhe leke aaya hoon Doctors ne kahha hai ki zakhaam gehra hai aur khoon zayada beh gaya hai unki family ko inform kar doon "
Arjun said "Main bas abhi aa raha hoon " with that he disconnected the call & hurriedly moved towards the hospital to check Sameer's condition. He knew his friend is strong but still he needed him today in his current condition.
Arjun reached hospital in next in next 20 minutes & saw his friend lay on the bed there was a deep wound in his abdomen & few scars on his arms & face he was unconscious with the effects of Medicines.
Arjun was really feeling bad to see his friends like this.
He asked kaamat in a stern voice "ye sab kaise hua?"
Kamat became bit scared hearing stern voice from Arjun & said feebly "Sir wo Rathore saab ko us suspect ne chaaku maar diya tha"
Arjun said "To tum loog kya kar rahe the? tum sabke saamne us aadmi ne Rathore ko chaaku mar diya aur tum loog mooh deekhte reh gaye" No one dared to answer Arjun after that.
Doctor entered & said "ACP Rathore khatre se bahar hai aap sab mil sakte hai unse par make sure unhe poora aaram mile unke zakham abhi bhare nahin hai inhe abhi hosh aa jaayega"
Arjun nodded & took seat next to him & Doctor left for the round after that. After an hour Sameer opened his eyes lazily & found himself on hospital bed. He tried to move but wound in his abdomen stopped him & he yelped in pain.
Arjun helped him & made him sit with the help of pillow behind his back. They chatted for few minutes & after that Arjun left the room to take some medicines for Sameer & he dozed off to sleep under the effect of medicines.
After few hours light Sunlight illuminated the room Sameer eyes flew open & he looked at the watch in the room it was 5:45 AM & he saw Arjun sleeping on the couch next to his bed. He felt much better now the pain had subsidized a lot but still was there.
He woke up slightly & went to fresh up & that disturbed Arjun's sleep too. He came to know that Sameer was awake now. After few minutes he came out of the wash room wiping his wet face & after that he took his shirt & started buttoning up.
Arjun asked him confused "ye kya kar raho hoo Rathod ? Doctor ne tumhe aaram ke liye kahah hai"
Sameer said "Tumhe bataya thana Rawte aaj Roshni ke case ki sunvaayi hai 9:30 baje wahi jane ke liye ready ho raha hoon"
Arjun said "tum pagal ho gaye ho Rathore is haalat main tumhe court jaana hai..tum rehne do main chala jaoounga"
Sameer replied "Main chaloonga Rawte waise bhi ab is bematlab zindigi main kuch nahin rakha hai bas apne dossto ko isaaf dila doon samjhoonga mera maksad poora ho gaya Roshni ko insaaf zaroor milega aur main uske liye kuch bhi karoonga" with that he marched out of the room without looking back.
Arjun took a deep sigh he knew Sameer was equally stubborn as him & he will not listen to him now only option left with him was to follow Sameer & attend the hearing of Roshni's case.
They came down to the parking area & Arjun took the Driver seat & started the ignition but before they could leave a ward boy stopped them saying to Arjun "are aap patient ko is tarah kahah le jaa rahe hai ye allowed nahin hai"
Sameer glared back at him & saying "main koi choota baccha nahin hoon aur bahut zaroori kaam se jaa raha hoon kuch deer main waapis aa jaaounga"
Arjun added further in the same way "aur tab tak aapke ye patient mere zimmedaari honge" with that both zoomed to the court for hearing.
They reached the court on time & after a while hearing started at the court. Sikander was brought in the court & all the proofs were shown to the judge.
Sikander noticed that Sameer is injured & after a while according to all the proofs he was declared guilty & was given life imprisonment. Suddenly Sameer requested the judge that he wanted to meet Sikander alone for minutes as before he is sent to secured cell.
Judge asked the reason saying "Par ACP Rathore aisi kya baat hai jo aap isse poochna chahte hai wo bhi akele main?"
Sameer said "Sir kuch personal sawaal hai mere isliye aapse ye favor maang raha hoon "
Judge trusted Sameer as an honest an Police Man & granted him the permission to meet with the security outside the room. Sameer & Arjun waited inside the room Sameer was on wheel chair & Arjun was standing beside him.
Sikander entered the room & asked "Kya Sameer saab ab kya baaki hai poochna?"
Sameer said "bas ye poochna chata tha ki ye sab karke tumhe kya mila ab saari umar jail main kategi tumhari tumne kayi zindigiyaa barbaad ki hai uska tumhe ab bhi koi afsoos nahin"
Sikander said "Afsoos kaisa maujhe jo karna tha maine kiya aapko jo karna tha aapne kiya par aap mera kya bigaad paaye?
Zayada se zayada mujhe bas umra quaid ki saza hui hai aur aapko kya lagta kitne din aap aur aapki salaakhe mujhe rook paayengi"
Sameer takes out his gun & says "tumhe yahi bulaane bataya hai ki main kya kar sakta hoon aur tumhari asli saza kya hai? "
Sikander said "kya saab aap ek quadi ko maareng ? waise bhi saari police ko pata hai ki hum yaha hai aapne mujhe maara to aap hi fasenge"
Sameer smirked & said "Chalo ye bhi dekhte hai ye loo gun" he said placing Arjuns gun either side & continued "tumhe khel ka bahut shuk hai na to dekhte hai kaun kise maarta hai tum mujhe maar ke aazaad hote hoo ya mere haatho tumhe saza milti hai"
He pointed his gun to Sikander & he was totally numb when was about to fire Arjun pistol which was laying on the side table Sikander picked it up & fired on Sameer but Sameer was quick he moved but bullet hit his right arm.
Hearing a gunshot all gurads came running inside & saw Sameer bleeding profusely & Sikander holding Arjun's Pistol. Guards shot him there & Sikander was dead.
Arjun was stunned at Sameers act but Sameer moved out dragging his wheel chair closing his eyes for a brief moment remembering Roshni.
Arjun followed him & asked "Rathore ye kya tumne aisa.."
Sameer said cutting him short "Rawte ye zaroori tha wo aaj jail jata kal fior bhaagta kannon se khelne ki aadat ho gayi hai in logo ki par aise logo ke liye yahi tareeka theek hai kaash aaj sab saath hote .." his voice choked & he couldn't speak further.
Both closed their eyes remembering Roshni for a brief moment as today the burden on their shoulders & soul had become light finally Roshni got her justice. Arjun opened his bit moist eyes & saw his friebd in same condition 7 he knew his feelings were same.
Arjun said placing his hand on his shoulder & breaking his trance "Bas Kya Rathore"
Sameer looked at his friend with moist eyes & smiled slowly saying "Nahin Rawte abhi baaki hai" Arjun to returned small smile & both walked towards the hospital for Sameers treatment
