Have always enjoyed reading your work.. This one felt like looking back into my summer holidays spent with cousins!! There was always one who would be upset if time was not spent with her.. Yet I was always the spare wheel ...

Khushi is so lucky to have found a good friend in Dr Venkat.. her parents are great support system too..

Arnav's last message to her seems to signify a new friendship and perhaps no more lonely summers.. Look forward to more.. thank you for the PMs

I think this is going to be your masterpiece your hit the inner workings of a young adult brain and the growing pains one goes through in their early twenties ,khushie has already become a individual with maturity and gained wisdom from her peers and the mentors she chosen ,this summer she has reaped a lot of benefits in the friendships she made they are going to stay with her for a long time

She turned out to be a great public speaker after all!

Loved this line "Betraying loyalty can turn you homicidal. Absolute betrayal can make you suicidal." It is so true! Many of us may face betrayals in friendships and relationships and these feelings are so true when that happens. It is usually the former, and god forbid if the latter happens.

Arnav was listening to her the entire time - and summer love for a young couple? What could be better?

She's a natural, our Kushi isn't she? Well after the self discovery this summer, she was bound to have a lot to say. It may sound cynical to some but she is as truthful as can be and that my friend is quite refreshing. No one wanted to bare themselves on the podcast and she was brave enough to give in. I love that little interaction between Arnav and her about relationship or summer romance. What a summer she had! She can go back to uni fully refreshed and with new perspectives and maybe a new relationship . . . .love it RB.

Work in progress, ehhh?? You know, after every update I wonder how much of you is in that update... Where did u blur the lines between reality n fiction? ... Who was ur Mr. Venkat - he/she must have inspired you to write like this... And most of all, what happened between u n ur Payal? I m so greedy, I know... Hope u n ur Arnav are enjoying watching reruns of Criminal Minds on A&E on long, summery afternoons!!

Some answers I suppose:

a) Most of Khushi's words from latest chapters are by product of what I have come to realize and believe. I do have my own green leather bound books (two of them, in fact) where I write stuff that comes to my mind. I shall post a picture of it sometime (I need reminders to do so! 😆) So there is a realistic part.

b) I don't have an Arnav but I do have couple of Payal in my life. In my early teen years it was my cousin; we were never apart during summers and then one summer she was too old to hang out with a kid who loved to hang out with her. The second Payal happened because I was equally at fault. We are currently repairing what we once had and its bit of work. Since we are both willing to put effort on it, its kinda nice. The third Payal is super recent. Like few months recent. I am too old to care about it now. So I shrugged and moved on to pick up a book to read.

c) Criminal Minds was a surprising discovery on TV back in 2005 when first season was on air. My flatmates and I were watching only because we were all fans of Dharma and Greg (Thomas Gibson) who was a lead in Criminal Minds. My friends gave up when he didn't smile (At all!!) while I soaked up in its provocative exploits.

d) No Mr. Venkat, unfortunately. There were/are definitely Amans and Divyas who I met because I was by myself. With some I have parted - a thing that happens with time and some are still part of my life. As we grow up, we change. People become a part of that change when they hang around us often. Frequent conversations (not on social media!) gives our friends a notion of what's going on with us. It goes both ways. You cannot come back to me a year later and exclaim - you've changed so much! Of course I have. I am evolving. Time has been spent. Shit has happened. Naturally I change.

e) I took computer programming class instead of Archaeology :=) That kept me occupied for most part of mornings. Learning Sanskrit in afternoons. Going to libraries (yes, plural) in the evenings. The schedule kept my busy and I didn't sport a perpetual pout for having left behind by my older cousins and their friends.

Drop me questions about...well, whatever. I will try to answer them as much as possible in next few days. Bit busy this week and the next so updates will be sporadic.

I really like the directness of your approach. The matter of fact tone that tells of the depth and clarity of thought that has gone into achieving that. That leather bound green journal would make for fascinating reading :)
