So Arnav and Khushi's first interaction from their childhood!!!! Ot was another beautiful chapter Sandhya! From thi a chapter, you could tell that Arnav was affected so much with Anjali's abduction. i am glad that Shashi has found him on right time and gave him the advice of his life! Arnav needed some path and Shashi has provided that in terms of responsibility of elder son of the family!

Khushi and Arnav's conversation was very emotional and Arnav could not keep his promise and khushi can't keep the guilt out from her life!

Very well written part Sandhya👏. Thanks a lot for the PM and sorry for late and irregular comments !!

Sandhya, this was indeed a very nice update.

How one incident changed the lives of all the people involved was so heart wrenching to read.

Arnav as that 13 year old boy, who apart from mourning the loss of sister is also a witness to his family breaking apart and who feels that he is not able to do anything about it. His mother has drowned herself in her daughter's whereabouts to such an extent that she has even forgotten about her other kids and family.

Akash has become silent and reserved. He probably is looking for his mother's love and an affectionate hug from his father assuring him that everything will be alright, which makes me wonder if the insecurity feeling made Akash fall in love and get married at such a young age. He needed love and probably thought he found it in Payal and unfortunately his failed love made him take to alcohol.

What must be going on in the mind of the 13 year old boy who thought that if he fell off the slope then atleast the bruises he would get would make his parents love him and look at his needs too.

This update also showed how much Khushi's father Shashi was liked by the Raizada kids. And even though Arnav is only 13, he was mature enough not to blame either Khushi or her father about what happened to Anjali.

My heart really broke reading about Khushi. A lonely girl sitting and remembering her best friend at her favourite place, I cant even imagine what must be going on in her mind. But I was so glad when Arnav approached her and spoke to her nicely and in a way consoled her too.

Does Khushi remember this meeting with Arnav????

Sandhya, you are one gifted writer.👏 I just loved this update a lot.

Arnav never accused khushi as the culprit.

He got angry becoz he thought ,khushi hid the truth of her identity.

Mind blowing! thats all I could say...i've literally read this story 3 times now (being dyslexic, it takes a while for me to understand and read between the line; hence apologies for late reply). Each time i read it, i felt like i was reading new story...there so much going on in each updates, the emotions that are portrayed by each character is so enchanting to read...this story has made me realised how many people life changes due to one significant event...and the worst part of it all is that the uncertainty of the event happening...for example, when i was a kid i used to walk and play near the parks with my friends all the time and or even used to walk home alone butin those days, they were daily activities...but you wouldn't ever imagine someone or something in a spare of a moment can alter your life as well as so many...

Each update i kept reading, gave me new idea of what could have happen to anjali... I keep thinking oh it could be this character or that but i feel like i need to think outside the box...my reaction is thinking what if it is those three poor girls and maybe payal could or would have been one of those girl and hence she left akash...i honestly don't know but I want to read more...i

is there any chance for us to have a glimps of the present or past condition of anjali...there hardly any details ????

By the way amazing story and thank you so much for the PM, i really appreciate it. 😊

Hi.. I have been away from IF for quite a while now due to personal reasons. N now im sorta back. But i must say ur the reason. I was recommended by meera in her post of a river runs through it. N im soo glad she did. For this is an awesome story. U got me in tears many times already.. I feel so attached to it. Amyway.. Great work.

Sandhya,

So devastatingly sad and beautiful a chapter...I am moved to tears...and that does not happen often even while reading the most sentimental or poignant pieces of fact or fiction, I promise you. The desolation in those verdant and lonesome mountain terrains, the description of the Top of the World, the scene where Arnav and Khushi share a few snatches in time of memories they both cherish...Her Highness and Khushi's sadness that if she left Coonoor she would never really know what happened to her, Arnav's suicidal plunging down the slopes on his bike, and the sheer melancholy of the moment when they say goodbye (for some reason that scene reminded me of the one in IPKKND where Arnav and Khushi are parting from each other at the airport!!)...every one of those bits steeped in poetry...so beautiful I am left breathless, Sandhya. Take a bow. The heart wants what it wants, I can only pray that they find Anjali in the same universe...and live happily ever after. sigh! I know we have miles to go before we get there, and that it is often the journey and not the destination that is really the most rewarding aspect...but one can always hope, can one not??!

First of all thanks Meera30 for recommending this FF else I would have missed this master piece😃.

Sandhya, your words and this FF is beautifully written and you have done marvelous job in depicting their guilt, their agony and their complicated relation along side the simplicity of friendship between Akash and Khushi. I loved your buaji aswell.👏

The effect that is caused to the grieving family and its every character is felt and that shows that you have written this story from heart and i will like to say that it has reached heart of the readers.😃
