Part 7

He leaned forward to capture those trembling lips of her, which were certainly not anticipating his actions. As their lips touched, it felt as if a jolt of current was passed through their bodies and there began a kiss of passion and desire.
The fire of attraction which was momentarily doused by the stillness of hatred between them had reignited to its full glory. Their eyes automatically closed to lose themselves in the blissful moment of love and their heart continued to pace like a runaway train due to their close proximity.
Arnav's hands travelled northwards to hold her nape, to deepen the unanticipated kiss of theirs. Khushi, who was completely carried away by the moment, couldn't help but give in to her heart's wish and his carnal desires. Their tongues fought for dominance like mating snakes and they kissed if their life sustained on this kiss.
Suddenly, Lavanya's and Arnav's relationship and her sister's current state came in front of Khushi's eyes and lost was the attraction in the depths of anger which threatened to kill Arnav by mere looks.
Khushi tried to push him off, after pulling back from the kiss but Arnav's hold on her was so strong that she couldn't even more an inch from where she was.
" How dare you...?" she started only to be cut in between by Arnav.
" Stop your nonsense for two minutes and listen to me. I am sincerely sorry for what I did with Lavanya but believe me I had become blind in the pain by cousin,NK put into. And I am sure you know how it feels, because you are feeling it because of Lavanya now. Also, can't we work like professionals here, keeping aside our personal differences? Our destination is one, so if we travel together and support each other it would be an easy journey for us and for our companies." said Arnav, in a deep husky voice which evidently showed streaks of guilt.
Khushi firmly pushed him with all the strength remaining in her though her knees threatened to give away, basking in his intense gaze.

" You must understand, Mr.Raizada that though our destination is one, our paths have become different and opposite of each other. There is a distance of miles in between each other and our pain too. So don't compare my pain with yours." said Khushi, sternly still unable to believe that Arnav kissed her to stop her from speaking.

On the other hand, Arnav was shocked that the person who managed to attract him so much, was trying to make him, her past and move on.

But would he let it happen?

No, after all he was the Arnav Singh Raizada, who wrote his destiny along with the people's who are close to him. And Khushi was definitely on the list.

" Well, opposites attract, Ms.Khushi Gupta." said Arnav, with a naughty smirk on his face.

The reason, which made him ready to go on his knees for her was still unknown to him but Arnav Singh Raizada was person who did what he wanted, irrespective of the second thoughts he got or might get.

Khushi was startled at the come-back Arnav had come up with. She couldn't deny there was irresistible attraction in between them but how can she forget the immense pain, the guy in front of her gave to her sister going by the words of his brother.

" Whatever. I have another meeting lined up so the details of the project will be forwarded by Anita to you or your manager at the earliest. Thanks for coming here on my father's request and accepting the deal, without which I am sure, we would still remain on top." said Khushi sarcastically, as she was determined that she wouldn't let go of any opportunity to taunt Arnav.

" Sharing is Caring, Sweetheart. And soon you are going to share that position with my company. So thanks for your concern." said Arnav, with a naughty glint in his eyes.

" No Pleasure." said Khushi, while looking away from him and hinting to him to leave the cabin.

Arnav stooped down to her level and placed a warm kiss on her flushed cheeks, due to both their proximity and anger. While Khushi was astounded by Arnav's acts, Arnav was amused by the expressions which Khushi's face showed.

" I will make you feel for me, Khushi. And it is Arnav Singh Raizada's promise." told Arnav to himself while a rare and exquisite smile graced his lips.

Gupta Mansion,

The door of the Gupta Mansion was being knocked and the bell was rung many times. Seeing that no one was opening the door, Lavanya went to open the door herself.

She opened the door to reveal, NK standing there with an apologetic look on his face, while his face only made angry.

" What more was left to take away from me that you came here Mr. Malhotra?" asked Lavanya, sarcastically.

" Can I please come in?" asked NK, hoping for a affirmative response.

" As if you will not come in if I answer in negative." said Lavanya, while moving away from the door so that NK could come in.

It hurt NK to see his ladylove hating him to this extent. But he was yet to realize that revenge was not something which would reduce one's pain. It was a path to attain more pain and it would reduce only when one decides to walk on the path of redemption and learns to accept one's mistakes.

Will NK ever be able earn Lavanya's love?

Will Lavanya ever be able to love again?
