Khushi had today realized the place of blankness in everyone's life. The events of the day were so shocking for her that her mind turned blank and she went numb.
Her actions were mechanical and her answers were to the point. She spoke to her manager, Anita to cancel out all her meetings for the next two days but there was one meeting she couldn't postpone as it was decided by her father, Shashi Gupta who was currently in USA, managing the business there.
Khushi knew she had go back to normal, at least for Lavanya if not for her. After all, Lavanya always stood as her support whenever she needed it and today Lavanya was in deep pain and she couldn't help her.
She was drowning in the ocean of different and unique feelings. On one hand there was guilt that she couldn't do anything for her sister and on the other hand she was happy that the truth came out much before anything very big happened.
One side of her brain was in deep pain, that the person whom she was deeply attracted or maybe infatuated to, was a heart-breaker, while the other side of her brain told her to start hating him like her sister.
But her heart still held a blissful emotion in it. If Love binds two people strongly then Pain binds them in a knot which is inseparable. Maybe it was turning out to be true in Khushi's case.

To say that Arnav was guilty would have been an understatement. He couldn't believe that he became so blind in vengeance that he forget the morals and values he learnt in his childhood.
Arnav badly wanted to apologize to Khushi, or better said Arnav's heart begged for Khushi's forgiveness. But he was heartless, wasn't he?
Khushi had always managed to bring out shaded of him, which he never knew he had. And today she brought out one more new shade out of her.
The shade of him, which was repenting and asking him to chose his heart over his mind.
He knew he committed a mistake which cannot be forgiven easily, he firmly decided that he would try to get her forgiveness at any cost.
Arnav was extremely angry on himself and wanted to cut off contact from everyone if possible and hence he asked Aman to cancel out his meetings for tomorrow, but when he heard that he has a important meeting with an important client; the Guptas, he knew he couldn't postpone it. And hence, he told Aman to cancel out everything else except for that.
Maybe that would give him a chance to apologize to Khushi.

Khushi was never nervous before any meeting but today she was getting weird vibes that this meeting is going to be a different one. She knew that the MD of the other company would be here to meet her at 12:00 PM to speak about the joint venture which was signed by Shashi.
She didn't know how the client was, and the curiosity levels were going up. She herself stopped Anita from giving the details yesterday and today Anita was on leave.
She called up Lavanya to ask about how she was.
" Hello Lav. How are you?"
" You are questioning me as if I got some disease, Khush! I am all fine." said Lavanya, putting up a show that she was fine although she wasn't.
" You know Lav, you can share everything with me. Then why are you hiding your pain? I know you are hurt so don't you dare lie about that." said Khushi, as strictly as a mother.
Lavanya's lips curled into a weak smile listening to love in Khushi's voice.
" I won't deny that I am hurt but if I have a loving sister like you then nothing can worry me for a long time." said Lavanya, lovingly.
Suddenly there was knock on the door and Khushi realized that the client was here.
" Lav, the client is here. Will talk to you later." said Khushi in a hurry.
" Ok. All the best." said Lavanya, before disconnecting the call.
Khushi straightened herself up and said in a very formal voice,
" Come in.."
As soon as the door opened to reveal Arnav Singh Raizada in all his glory, Khushi's lower jaw touched the ground. She was shocked to see him, in her office.
She jumped to her feet and asked him, while pointing her finger towards him,
" You??"
" Yes, ME. You were expecting someone else?" asked Arnav, teasingly.
" I would expect anyone on the earth except you in my office. What are you doing here?" asked Khushi sternly, while looking away from him.
" I am here to maintain the professional relations that bind us together. Don't you want me to maintain that?" asked Arnav, raising his eyebrow.

" Distance. That's what I would like you to maintain, Mr.Raizada!" said Khushi, maintaing an extremely professional tone.

" But if you maintain distances, then how will your company rise to heights?" asked Arnav, while smirking.

" Thanks for your concern. But please direct your concern to your company. As my company was always on the Number 1 place, and will remain to be." said Khushi, professionally.

" This is joint venture, so if I lose my place that means a loss to you too, Miss Khushi Gupta." said Arnav, raising his eyebrow at her and taking circles round her.

" You think I care? I very well know how to maintain the company's position and how to earn profits. You don't need to teach me about that." said Khushi, firmly.

Arnav knew Khushi was fastidious but to this extent he never knew.

" Khushi, I know I made a mistake.." started Arnav, only to be cut in between by Khushi.

" Oh, you do? I thought that the great Arnav Singh Raizada never made mistakes intentionally." taunted Khushi, hurtfully.

Arnav chose to ignore Khushi's words and continue what he was saying.

"...and I am guilty of what I did.."

" Oh Really? I thought the fire of revenge was so raging that you forgot everything else." taunted Khushi, yet again and this time it touched the wrong nerves of Arnav, after all he is short-tempered.

Arnav snaked his hand around her waist and pulled her over his chest. Her soft bosoms crushed over his hard rock-like chest and produced sinful thoughts in his mind.He slid his other hand over her waist to keep her in place.

Their gazes clashed in a intense eye-lock and their breaths raced, while their heart-beats paced to beat in a sync.

I am extremely sorry for the very late update of this story but I dunno why I forgot to update this!
