A very thought provoking and an insightful start. Here your narrative style is lyrical and poetic. I can easily connect with Arnav's situation because I also went through a similar kind of a situation when I was in 9th standard. I wanted to get admission in the arts, but my mother wanted me to study science because my cousins were a science student. And in the end, I chose what my mother wished and the results were unsatisfying. And today I am in the final semester of MSC economics. Totally opposite what I wanted to be. Lol
I'm glad that Arnav became painter what he desired to be. So for me your story is close to reality and his parents, comparing behavior doesn't surprise me too much. But they ignored Arnav like a sore thumb that hurt me most. I've no siblings that's why their indifference behavior towards Arnav hurt me. I think I've said too much. Your this artist Arnav impressed me already. Can't wait to read about Khushi intro. Your storyline is breathtakingly refreshing.

Ps: jo hota hai acha hota hai...aor Maa toh hamesha olaad ka acha hi sochti hai..😃

per yeh comparison krna masla sara yahen hai...

I think many people will be able to relate with Arnav. But what's amazing is that he has turned this rejection into something beautiful, instead of becoming bitter.

That was wonderful start...

You wrote brilliantly of Arnav's POV and his feelings towards his family as well as his passion of art...

Am amazing topic for an SS!!!!!!!!!!!
Arnav is talented and not accepted by his parents
as they want him to become a doctor like them...made me remind
of so many parents who wish to see their own dreams fulfilled in their children...
who constantly compare their children...
who fail to identify their talent and encourage them
who just expect marks...or want robotic children...
Loved your topic and hope that it proved to be an eye opener for many...
Waiting for love to bloom between a talented artist / painter and a skilled dancer
Both artists in their respects...

Parents do such a disservice to their children by penning them in what is their view of correct. Arnav's artistic bend is so well described by you. He's comfortable in his skin despite the rejection of his family. Looking forward to knowing more of him :)

Beautiful. Creativity is something that should be always appreciated. Sad... some people like Arnav ' s parents think otherwise. Everybody can study but not everyone can paint like a professional.
Do continue soon.
