It's like ages that I haven't visit here. Just finished reading. Story is getting more interesting with political discussion and them trying to adjust with new arrangement.

I also love animals. Cats are cute but I like dogs. I feel that cats are mean and selfish😛 And dogs are more friendly with us, faithful and protective towards their owner.

So they are collecting animals for future.

Consider this: in a town, assume the predominant population alive are all religious nut jobs. How would that small society operate?

As my daughter will say, humans are animals. Maybe too developed for our own good. I was thinking more of animals within one species as opposed to within the animal kingdom where I can see the complexity happening with the food chain. Of course, domination and jealousy would still be a part of their fiber but I guess it boils down to the fight of the fittest as simple as that. With the religious nut jobs, are they same religion or different? If it is same, you will have the catholic type of hierarchy developing and if different (like the different branches of Islam say), then there will be infighting for sure without a clear leadership. My husband and I always have this debate where he believes as a Catholic, the church has been able to bring peace by having a leader at the top of the chain and he argues that my Muslim brothers will do well to have a strong leader in charge to establish the tone of the religion as opposed to have fanatics take over with their interpretations. I see his point but then I also remember the crusades that were inspired by holy men and cringe at a strong religious figure being given too much power. I am completely off topic again.

Oh but it does like to be pet ONLY when it wants it. Cats are verry capricious.

Has anyone read Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood?

Its a dystopian fiction and I was quite disturbed while reading it. I finished it less than an hour ago and wrote a review.

This cat is based on a cat that belongs to a neighbor. She sits on our car and gives me silent judge-y looks whenever she sees me.

Lady Mary is annoying, to be honest. She improves over the seasons and she is loads better than Anna or Mr. Bates or Edit or even Cora for that matter.

I don't own a pet, never have actually. Hailing from an orthodox family allowing a pet inside the house was just out of question.

You mean I really should catch up with Downton Abbey. Sigh! I will. It was going to happen anyway!

Oh and laughter - well it can't be all bad always, can it? Some times the funny and the not-so-funny do get to you!

Downton Abbey is fun. Their problem is generally superficial. Dowager Countess is one sassy woman (Dame Maggie Smith)
