Lavanya had heard the entire conversation between Arnav and Khushi. How could she just go without blaming someone for what happened. And again this was a perfect time . Arnav was out of his room to answer some business calls. So she came in. Khushi was still trying to get over the fact that Arnavji had changed her wet clothes last night.

Lavanya: You should celeberate Khushi. You dont have to do much to gain ASR's attention. He himself is drawing close, isnt he? But I am warning you lady. He is mine. So never think I will let you be a part of his life forever. You are with him only for 6 months. Not lifetime.

Khushi: Lavanyaji, I will not ask you why you pushed me in the pool last night. I know you were drunk and in depression too that you have to see Arnavji with me all the time. Being a woman I can understand you cannot believe any other woman who is close to your husband. But you love Arnavji, dont you? Then show some trust on him at least if not anyone. Its his love for you and Di which made him take such a big decision of his life . Dont let him repent on his decision because the day this happens, he will not let anyone of you rule his life again.

Lavanya: You ****.. How dare you advise me?

Khushi became very angry when she heard Lavanyaji using such bad words.

Khushi: I am warning you for the first and last time Lavanyaji. I respect your feelings for Arnavji. But that doesnt mean I will allow you to use such abusive language for me. Next time think twice before doing that. Now please leave me alone.

Lavanya: My God. I am scared.

She mocked at Khushi.

Lavanya: So this tiny cat knows to defend herself huhh? Very good . Let me see how far you tolerate all this. Have you ever thought what have we planned to get you out of our lives after 6 months? Let me tell you. Your very own husband Arnavji will prove to his Nani that he is not happy with you, we can add anything about your character to spoil it in Nani's eyes. She will throw you out of her family Khushi. And then, your husband will marry me. I hope you havnt forgot about those Divorce papers. I already have secured them with me. So everything is in my favour. However hard you try to seek the love and respect from Raizada family, no use. At the end they are going to show you the door. So I will sit back and enjoy this while you keep thinking what will you do after 6 months. I am leaving you alone now. Think think. You have plenty of time with you. Bye.

It was so hurting for Khushi to hear all that but she kept quiet and watched Lavanyaji leave the room. She never thought Arnavji's choice could be so low. Lavanyaji was not the right girl for him, but who was she to decide this ?She was no one. She sat on the bed and kept sobbing. But why was she doing this? What hurt her the most? Was it Lavanyaji's abusive words or the truth that she just confessed what will happen after 6 months of this marriage?

There was no point staying in Singapore now. That one incident had spoiled everybody's mood. Arnav packed up to leave and Khushi didnt mind. She was already trying to be aloof from him. They didnt talk much except conveying the messages of the family to each other. Lavanya never asked Arnav about that night because she knew the mistake was hers. She wanted to earn Arnav's trust not his hatred. They came back to India within 3 days. It was a shock for the family. Lavanya didnt come to Shantivan as Nani was not aware of she being with them. So she went to her house and Arnav Khushi came back together home.

Anjali: Chotte? You came back so early?

Nani: Haan Chotte. What happened?

Arnav: Nani my meeting got cancelled. So there was no point waiting there.

He didnt had much to say. He left in his room. But Khushi was caught by Nani.

Nani: Meeting cancelled? So what. He could have spent time with you. It was also your honeymoon.

Khushi: Nani he wanted to stay back but I was missing you all very much and upon that my father's health was also worrying me. SO he decided to get me back home.

Anjali was not sure what had happened that they came back so early. She will have to ask Lavanya to get the details.

Nani: Is all okay between you and him Khushi? Are you hiding something from me?

Khushi: No Nani. All is good. You are simply worried.

Khushi could convince Nani at that point of time but she didnt know till when she will be able to do this.

A day later

Anjali got to know everything from Lavanya what happened in Singapore. She was waiting for Arnav to return back from office. He was over working today. The family had gone to sleep already but she remained awake. Arnav came in the house all tired. She took his laptop bag.

Anjali: Chotte, go and get changed. I will get the food served by then.

Arnav agreed. He went to his room. Khushi was not around which made him think where can she go at this hour? May be she was in Nani's room, he thought. He came downstairs and sat on the dinning table for the food to be served. Anjali sat next to him.

Anjali: I talked to Lavanya today .She told me what happened.

Arnav: Di please dont start that topic again. I am not in a mood.

Anjali: But Chotte till when will you keep running away like this? I know Lavanya pushed Khushi because she was overdrunk. And you could not call anyone from room service to change Khushi's clothes. But Khushi should have trusted you. How could she blame you for misuing this opportunity?

Arnav: Di any girl in her place would have done that. Dont blame her now.

Anjali: Huhh. Fine. If you say so. But one thing I admire in Khushi. She didnt show a glimpse of worry on her face before Nani. How nicely she handled Nani's questions on why you people came back so early. Must say. She is a good wife. But she got a wrong husband and family. Poor girl.

Arnav felt bitter hearing all this. Thats when he saw Khushi coming out from Kitchen with his plate. She didnt sleep? Khushi didnt meet his eyes. She kept the plate on table and started serving him.

Arnav: You were awake?

Anjali: Ohh. Not just awake. She didnt even eat her Dinner. Nani told her a lot but she is a typical pativrata woman who will eat only after her husband eats. She stayed hungry. Anyways, now that you have come, Khushi go and make your plate too. I am very sleepy. Good night.

Anjali hugged Arnav and then went to her room. Khushi was still serving Arnav. He stopped her and made her sit beside him.

Arnav: Dont do this again. I can be very late at times. Dont starve.

Khushi: Dont worry Arnavji. I am not going to impress Nani much. I know it will be hard for you otherwise to convince her you are not happy for me. But I was really not hungry then. So I didnt eat.

Arnav: Excuse me? What did you say? I am going to convince Nani what?

Khushi: After 6 months Arnavji. You have to give some reason to Nani why you want to seperate from me. But you dont have to think much. I will find a way.

Arnav: Will you just shut up Khushi?

Khushi became quiet and made her plate.

Arnav: How could you even think I will convince Nani with such thoughts? Making you inferior in her eyes?

Khushi: Then what else have you planned? Is there any other way you can throw me out of this house?

She was right. but what kind of words was she using today?

Arnav: THROW?

Khushi was silent again.

Arnav: Look . I dont know whats going in that pea sized brain of yours. But I am not planning any of these. I got you in this house with dignity and you will leave it that way.

He got up to leave without eating, Khushi held his hand.

Khushi: Dont remove your anger on food. You are insulting it.

Arnav: You are bothered about me insulting the food Khushi? What about you insulting your husband thinking anything which he cant even think of doing?

Khushi apolozised.

Khushi: Sorry. But these thoughts just came in my mind and I

Arnav: Flush them out. Right now.

Khushi noded. Arnav sat again to continue his food. They both kept eating quietly.

Time kept passing. It had been 3 months for their marriage now. Lavanya was just counting days. Nani was over impressed with Khushi and her way of taking responsibilties in the house. There were many such occassions when even Arnav compared unknowingly who seemed more better life partner.. Khushi or Lavanya. And he need not have to say it that Khushi was the best in every role she played. She was a good daughter, a responsible bahu and a supportive wife. They had come over that incident in Singapore. She had forgiven Arnavji for changing her clothes without her permission but even today when she thinks about that night she gets goosebumps imagining what might have been Arnavji's state of mind while doing that.

Today after two months of their marriage, Khushi had realised the positivities of her husband and the way he handles every relationship with care. She had also seen the worst of Lavanyaji again who always tried to dominate over Arnavji but these days he was not letting that happen. He was showing her the mistakes whenever possible which was good for their relationship ahead.

Today was Holi and like every year Shantivan had called all its family, relatives and friends to celeberate it together with them. Arnav had taken an off from his work and he came down without having his bath because this was the only day in the year when none of them took bath in the family until evening. He saw Khushi arranging the colours in the thali's with Anjali and Nani.

Arnav: Happy Holi di.

He applied the gulal on Anjali and then even to Nani. He took some colour in his palm for Khushi but Nani moved her back.

Arnav: What the

Nani: What the nahi Chotte. This is a tradition. You will have to keep trying the whole day to apply colour on your wife. She will save herself from you and if you still succeed it will mean no matter how much your wife goes away from you in life because of situations and problems, you will always find her and keep her close to you. This is a tradition which we do with every newly married couple's first holi in the family. Understood? And no cheating. Khushi promise me you will save yourself to the best from him.

The tradition was little wierd though it had a very deeper meaning. Both had to agree for Nani.
