Given how all the characters and their relationships are currently, one may wonder how will I resolve everything in the next 20 odd chapters, I am not sure either. I suppose I won't resolve everything. People are going to hate me, isn't it?😆But I hope it will be a satisfying story for the readers when it ends.

@Everyone: Thanks again for reading and leaving such wonderful comments. I have not yet begun writing the next chapter, but hopefully will post something in the middle of the coming week.

I, for one, am very happy that there is still a long way to go. 😊
And trust me when I say this Radhika, everyone will be more than satisfied with the story however you may wish to end it.

Whenever I think of Aman, I remember this episode where he says, "Sir, foreign delegates ko mitti dena hai?" This was the episode where Khushi leaves a trail while stealing some mitti for her diyas.

But you have drawn him into a compelling character here, one with a rich backstory, charming and flawed in equal measure. Plus he bought a cute girl a hot chocolate fudge from Nirula's. He has my heart 😛

Arnav and Khushi have always had a connection, they might be unaware of it, it is certainly not acknowledged by either, but inspite of all the animosity there is a certain comfort level. There feelings of persecution when being around each other was funny. Though I admit, if someone put their bag away from me, I would wonder if they wanted me to keep my hands off it as well 😆

Cannot wait for the next chapter and Arnav and Khushi's tea party politics.

Shh.. Radhika dont listen to her. She is too fond of open endings..Much to our distress at times!
But as long as you give proper closure to Arnav -Khushi I wont complain.. And looking at where the story is at present we still have long way to go..

Enjoying the story Radhika.
It's amazing how Khushi the person is so intertwined in the "beings" of all people she has somehow been in contact with ...good or bad. It is almost like all the people are somehow lost and looking for their "Khushi" in someone or some act to get their satisfaction...again good or bad...YKWIM. 🤔

Hello there...
I recently discovered this story and just finished catching up with all the chapters...
It's quite different from the general fluff and romance (not that I don't love fluff and romance😆 )
I like the flow of this story...how you have alternated the present day with the past happenings. I really like the writing too...In several instances, I felt I was in Chandni Chowk or in the train or in the Raizada mansion with these people.
It is difficult to not sympathise with Khushi and develop an admiration and respect for the strength she shows although I didn't really like her blaming herself for a lot of the past happenings.
Another thing that pulled me in was the detailed characterisation of people apart from the protagonists. Nothing is black or white here...that's quite realistic. In spite of the intricately intertwined connections between people and situations, there is clarity of thought that comes through strongly.
And I must say, I'm quite stunned that, in spite of no Arnav-Khushi romance for 16-17 updates, I am glued to the story...
I really love it so far...looking forward to how things progress...
Happy to be a part of this journey :)

P.S. :- I'm very glad to know we're not even halfway into the story!!! 😃 If the chapters so far are anything to go by, it's going to be one hell of a ride...[in a good way, obviously 😆]

So who's the girl whom Akash likes? Is it Payal or is it Lavanya? I think it can be Payal given that Khushi said that the girl likes someone else. May be they are thinking that Payal likes Arnav but theirs is more like a relationship of mutual convenience.
Oh yes!! I too feel like Arnav will see more of Akash in 2015 and may be so will Khushi of Payal. 😆 Payal is sometimes nice and sometimes sarcastic.. Usko samajhna thoda mushqil hai in terms of black & white. But frankly they all here are pretty much decent at least when they want to be.
Why did Payal go with Akash instead of arnav? Is it mine IPK infected brain that's seeing some kaali daal or is this really a kaali daal? 😉 Is it possible that Payal too thinks that Akash likes Khushi? I want to witness Arnav and his Dad's meeting soon. I want to know if Arnav this time too would do nothing when people around him tries to hurt Khushi, tries to sway the little normalcy in her life. I hope not.

Coming to the Notes from the Past -
I think the two Gagans are the same guy and that's why Lavanya stopped talking to Khushi in the past. She somehow blamed her because Preeto is Khushi's friend.
Aww... the awkward Arnav.. He wanted to apologise but still couldn't. but it happens with a lot of people. I am one of them especially when I'm not friends with the other person. I'll feel a bit out of sorts if I would have been in Arnav's place too. But it's good that they were acting pretty normal during the trip. That's how college life is.
Now I know who's responsible for Khushi losing the scholarship. It's Mr. Shastri. 😕

"Hmm. How about Arnav. You guys were close too, weren't you?"

"Again. The Sports connection. we were okay. But I can't invite him. If I do, I will have to invite his snooty girlfriend too. No, please, no."

"Haha. Payal. She was cute. And deep down she was a sweet girl."

"Must be way too deep down."

"Hmm. How about Khushi?"

"No."

"C'mon. It is time to bury the hatchet don't you think? This has gone on for too long. It is immature and unlike you."

The above para is from chapter 1.

So Akash does find Payal cute. Maybe he always had a crush on her.

But Lavanya is bang on when she said that Payal was sweet somewhere really deep down. 😆

And La did not invite Arnav to her wedding because she did not want to invite Payal along with him since they come as a package. Wow Payal!!! you do have a lot of fans!!!! 😉

And the tiff La had with Khushi was probably due to Gangandeep.

"So Di has called you for the pooja? She was telling me that she would," Arnav said. Of course he omitted mentioning that Anjali Di planned to convince Payal into joining a Buddhist chanting group she went to, so that Payal would better manage her tongue and anger. Arnav wanted to tell Di that Payal did not need any fixing' and that it would be best if she were not to meddle, but he knew it was futile. This was Anjali Di, meddling was her favourite past-time.

The above is from chapter 2.

So did Anjali convince Payal to join the Buddhist chanting group??? Are those unknown phone calls and messages from that group?? 😆

So the soured relationship between Lavanya and Khushi is thanks to some misunderstanding on La's part about who snared her boyfriend? Is this why after so many years La could try to mend fences with Khushi because that Gagan fellow is now past and unimportant? Is this why Khushi was still hesitant to connect with La again coz she cannot overcome the hurt La's words must have once caused her? Is the poor girl always misunderstood by one and all?

Preeto is so typical 😆 'Match making' Khushi with every guy around, be it the Suicide Boy (rolls eyes), Aakash jeeju or even Arnav (whom she hates, but why does Preeto hate Arnav? The ousting from the college incident hasnt happened yet... Probably coz she knows the harsh words Arnav spoke to Khushi) Preeto wants a non-chepu boy and when Khushi is surrounded by them, she is interested in Algebra 👍🏼 One thing hasnt changed btw, Khushi still overthinks about everything, like visiting a cinema or what to take to La's wedding and mostly about Arnav Singh Raizada and his actions around her...

Funny... both in the present and the past when Raizada Sr. wants to talk to Arnav privately it is (also) about Khushi.

Aman must have gone through hell before and after his suicide attempt and yet can joke about it. When Khushi cannot even take it. She must have been so harried at that time... Poor baby... Now what is with Aman? He actually likes Khushi? Why do I always read too much between the lines of this story? The bit where Khushi only looked at her dessert and Aman only looked at her gave me the feeling 😕

Why does Aman have them on their mailing list? His small attempt to keep in touch with people who matter without getting emotionally involved?

This Dhiraj Singh reminds me of one prof I had in college. If she wanted you to participate in an event, you had to. What you want, if your family agrees, the loss of your classes, your health... nothing mattered to her... What can I say... such teachers exist

Like seriously?? Arnav's only excuse for not apoligizing to Khushi is that she decided to ignore him after he showered her with his choicest words? Because she decided it is better for all concerned that they stay out of each others' way? Come on! He didnt even apologize to her after he came to know she got her internship on her own merit, when his gut feeling told him that her character isnt dheela... I think Khushi was expecting it in the train, I was expecting it... At times I feel even Payal is better than this Arnav. She is who she is. I do not expect anything good from her (so far into the story I dont remember Payal doing any meritorious deed). But Arnav... he thinks noble but his actions fall short of his thoughts. He is a teen, he is a teen, he is a teen, he is NOT the ONLY teen in this story but he is easily the most exasperating one! He thought so ill of her and still has the nerve to put the blame of 'non-apology' on her, her avoidance of him. I am telling you once again, this Khushi is better off without this Arnav. If and when Aakash decides to get over his unrequited love probably Khushi and he will have a chance. Or I am waiting to see how Aman has turned out, I dont mind rooting for that pair too. At least, if Aman makes Khushi cry even in jest, he will express his apology in both words and actions (case in point: the Nirula incident again). YB this is the only story in which I do not root for ArHi. Arnav needs to do go a long way before I can give away my Khushi to him 😉

Some other less conscientious student, as busy, with a lesser degree of gratitude would have made the excuse of participation in the sports event and lack of internet connection to not submit her essay on time. However, Khushi is as diligent as they come and this punctuality will make her pay... It is Poonam Raizada after all 🤢

PS: One day, some day I will write a good comment on this story when I am neither sleepy nor tired 🥱

PPS: I just read your note. I thought this was an SS. Yeh to full length FF nikla. Koyi nahi. As long as you promise to update regularly and finish the story 😊

Hello Radhika, read all the three cool chapters now. Poonam Raizada is vile. Arnav might have realised now but he was stupid. These Raizadas have brought doom to Khushi every time but then why this simpleton attracts trouble? I mean look this Lavanys- Gagan- Preeto thing. In all this chaos Preeto and Akash have really been a support to Khushi. Payal is hardly there in the past. Waiting for Aman to show up :)
