Finally got round to reading the last 2 updates, which were a painful read! Sorry, I don't mean that your writing was painful😆! I meant the events in the story were painful to read.
It is all so sad for everyone concerned. And yet I cannot find it in me to sympathise with Lavanya despite knowing she is not really well. Manya has lashed out mindlessly and cruelly in a burst of blind sibling love with no thought of the devastating consequences of her outburst. Would the utburst bring back her sister? But there are many like Manya in this world.
But the one noble person in all this is Arnav. He has proved himself to be the true parent because despite having no blood ties with the child, Arnav has refused to use his child to exonerate himself in any way or to absolve himself of his responsibilities in his current situation.
The man is a worthy parent to his child,
I am not judging Khushi mom but I just wish she had some kindness for her daughter. I so wish Arnav's mom had not needed the truth about Aarav in order to understand her son. Why could she not give it to him without that.
Both Arnav's mother, who to some extent, and Khushi's mom (we don't know about her father as you have not revealed to us what his response to Manya's unjustified outburst was) are willing to sacrifice their children at the altar of societal norms.
Manya in that sense has shown true love for her sister, despite knowing that ultimately it is her sister who is responsible for her actions!
Nothing in life comes without a price,. This feels like the price Arnav and Khushi are paying for a few stolen moments of happiness.
