So many themes running through this chapter..dreams made and lost within a page.. a young man seeking his fortunes, but losing his way midway, a nation struggling to free itself.. a feeling of exile within one's own home!!

I have to comment on the shift your writing has taken - this story is unlike any of your other stories. I have enjoyed all your stories - I have always left them with a smile. Now, this one - this one is different. And I love it.

You've managed to show the tension between Arnav's sense of loss when he left Britain with his moment of homecoming with that smell of sabzi. Two very real and very honest portrayals of contesting emotions. :) That felt right and rang true to his experience.

In a week, two writers - vgedin's Polemic Jacknapes (scroll down for Chapter 34) and you - my young writer, have managed to evoke a sense of longing for my first home with your stories and your words. Bittersweet you leave me today - with my own memories of my journeys to my home and my family..

that was amazing start! arnav did hard work to settle himself in the other world where Indians were not treated with respect.. agree his business astuteness helped him and its everybody's choice about what people want in their life.. i don't think arnav is wrong anywhere and it happens when you start living you life in luxury following the lifestyle of others.. arnav may not love his country but his love for his family is amazing.. just a telegram brought him home and he is shocked to see the changes in his parents and sister and also to see a girl who is called as khushi by his ma.. who seems to be in love with her country.. loved the update..
