Shweta, once again you have depicted each and every scene, every emotion , and every detail with such brilliance and elan that you knocked my breath away. My heart stopped beating as I was reading the update...❤️
I just have no words to describe the emotions I went through while I was reading this chapter. Everything from the rescue operation, to him finally coming home to where his heart/soul is waiting for him is painted so vividly and breathtakingly . It was like I was there in every scene with my heart in my mouth watching it unfolding in front of my eyes👏 .
And he found her there, standing, the sight was like a balm that cured all the painful nights, his legs refused to moved as if they were cast in iron.
His eyes shone with an intense emotion, everything that was important to him, everything that was closest to his heart was in this room at this very moment.
His heart weighed heavy with unuttered emotions that begged to be told. He gazed fiercely with his molten gaze at his wife as he called out, "Khushi."
I loved the way Khushi was waiting for him in the artroom where his heart resides and speaks to her without words. The heart where she resides . Both have finally reached their destination...
Waiting eagerly for them to pour out their hearts to each other. One trying to tell how much he loves her, the essence of his existence and the other telling that it doesn't matter even if he doesn't say the words at all. The words don't matter to her anymore..
She knows ... She just wants him back... She can live without him saying the words but not without him.
Truly honored and deeply touched to receive a thank you note from you. Very Very humbling. The story is the real true champion Shweta. The magic you have created in this marvelously written story cannot be described in mere words. How much ever we love it or praise it is just not enough👍🏼❤️👏.
I am very happy that I am fortunate enough to get to know about this story and read it. Thank you Shweta once again and I say this from the bottom of my heart🤗.
Wow...Wow...what a thrilling update. You wrote everything so wonderfully that I can visualize forest, combat and rescue operation 👏.
Arnav is such a sweet heart and fell in love with Kushi right from the moment she entered into his life as his bride but never vocalized his feelings but through his paintings. Kushi need no more confessions from him. Arnav laid his heart bare to her and she just needs to read and see through the paintings. Re-union between Arnav and family is heart warming. Loved how Arnav's eyes searched for the lady who owns his heart.
I just love how you visualize and create perfect ambience for everything. Meeting at his studio is such a great idea and waiting for Tiger and Tigress re-union 😛
Love your thank you note and happy to bring that grin on your face 😉.
EDITED: COMMENT UPDATED
Shweta,
What can I say about your brilliance that I haven't said already? I am raking my brain to find better words to applaud you writing and the kind of intensity you bring to a fictional story.
You are par excellence...TAKE A BOW!!
Though words continue to fail, I braved and made a lame attempt to write few, I guess more than few words.
During Khushi's scene I felt a tightening in my heart and as the whole scene unfolded, Khushi looking at her painting, seeing Arnav's love and her breaking down, it made me go through the same emotions as Khushi.
The whole rescue "Caged tiger" operation I had an adrenaline rush! My heart was racing, like I was watching a blockbuster Hollywood action movie. It also made me wonder if you are screenplay writer by profession.
And the last scene gave me Goosebumps. Along with Arnav's heart even heart was galloping and I was literally holding my breath. I swear if the chapter had not ended with Arnav and Khushi being in the same room, I would have exploded. I cannot believe you ended it there! I kept scrolling down to see if there is more.
I cannot believe my heart went through so many motions in just one chapter.
"The caged tiger is caged no more" or "The caged HEART is caged no more"
What an apt title! It is so symbolic. I know it reads as Arnav has been rescued and physically saved from the clutches of naxals. But it also says that Arnav is not caged by his demons, insecurities and fears anymore. He has freed himself and his heart. By acknowledging, accepting and confessing to himself that he truly loves Khushi, he has won his last and final battle. He is free to follow his heart and his heart is where, Khushi is.
An Ode to Love...
Khushi just wanted three magical words "I love you" from Arnav. When she almost gave up on the hope to hear those words, Arnav gives her biggest confession, a gesture that is bigger and beyond mere "I love you". Sometimes "I love you" and "love" are overrated and it overshadows things that mean more than love. By asking Khushi to go to his study and letting her view her portrait, Arnav has not only given her his heart but his soul too. This is the same place where Khushi sneaked in to look for clues to reach Arnav's past and make way into his life and here Arnav himself paved the way for her. That's the irony of life, it gives us what we want when we least expect it and don't want. When we love someone we do everything and anything to get the same emotion from the person we love. But true love is selfless it has no ego, no pride and above all no set expectations. Khushi's love has reached that phase. Love or no love, all she wants is her flawed husband, all for herself, for lifetime. Unknown to both of them, Arnav loved Khushi is every possible way. By trusting her, standing by her, accepting her, supporting her in realizing her goals, dreams, protecting her pride and values, in the way he made love to her and looked up to her for inspiration and support.
This scene was so vivid that it's still lingering in my head.
A man of honor...
Amidst all the life threatening action and gun shots, Arnav doesn't waver from his words, promises and responsibilities. He had vowed to protect Shiva and he wanted to do that even at the cost of his own life. He truly wants to change lives of people for good. He is man who values life, people irrespective of their stature and big and small things they do for him.
FAMILY - We may not have it all together, but together we have it all...
Loved the subtlety of emotions in the family scene. This is not a family that goes over the top in expressing their emotions nor are they good at sharing them like normal people. But that doesn't mean the love, affection, care and concern doesn't exist. Even Yashoda deep down loves her children, it's just that she always let society and her husband's ambitions dominate her motherly instincts. Even Akash's simple gesture of moving to help Arnav and asking his "Arnav, are you injured", shows that he truly is concerned for Arnav. This is the same man who wanted to get his little brother. Times like this is when even a shattered family with all their lacunas come together.
The way Arnav uses his sense of humor to dilute and lighten up the tense situations is an art that he has mastered.
Khushi is love, solace, peace, happiness
"Khushi" that one word, that one name said everything he wanted to say. Said everything he couldn't say. By uttering her name, he wanted to make himself believe that he indeed is seeing her. By pronouncing her name in her presence, he wanted to quench the thirst of his soul. By saying her name he wanted to soothe away his pain. By stating her name, he was saying that he loves her, because for Arnav Khushi is the definition of Love.
