Chapter 12: Two voices Meant to be one

Draupadi was all set to start the next practice session with Arjun. Today was supposed to be a special one in which they worked on their chemistry as well as their knowledge of the rhythm and tunes of music. She looked through the print out that Arjun had e-mailed her last night. She smiled to herself she could not believe khadoos sahib could choose such a heart- warming song. She loved its flow and lost in humming its tune she was shocked to find herself in the dining with Dhris listening to her tunes with an amused but at the same time appreciative look. Seeing her blush and stop he wolf-whistled and said sarcastically, "Seem like the love is in the air for someone, right D!"

"Love who me? Sorry bro, but no one has been able to charm this fiery heart. Talking about love life. Who's the lucky girl these days? I guess she is the 15^th lucky girl right bro."

"Don't talk about love with me. I seriously believe that nothing like love exists in this cold hearted harsh world. The girl you are talking about left me for a nerd. Left the soft- hearted prince charming Dhris Khurana for a nerd!! That's why people say never to trust a girl."

Draupadi sighed this sort of problem seemed to happen with herb brother every day. But leaving him for a nerd he laughed inwardly. Trying her best not to let her brother see her amusement in his "dukhi" situation. "Oh that's bad Dhris. Don't let this keep you down. I am sure their will be someone somewhere who will open up the gates of your heart and remain there as your queen. And you will recover from this too just like you recovered from the previous 14 breakups. And bro I think that the saying is the other way around, never trust a boy."

"Best of luck D. If that khudoos the great Arjun bothers you too much tell me I will settle scores with him."

Draupadi smiled at that comment thinking that they were really siblings as her brother hated that over smart as much or even more than she did and hurried off to the practice venue.

When she reached there she was shocked to find that for the first time khadoos was late. Now it was her turn to make him listen some tanoos.

After almost an half an hour. She hears quick steps and saw an out of breath Arjun arrive looking completely flustered.

"Sorry for being late. I had some quick errands to run."

"You were the one that told me that never to rely on excuse right? So you had to keep this meeting above your errands' right, arya."

"I apologized right Panchali. Now quit smarting over me and get what we have come here for right. What don't you just let out all your emotions out in the song?"

"If he comes late makes excuses and has to be forgiven. But when I come late I have to hear his tanoos for an hour. This called justice."

Picking up the lyric and handing Draupadi one. Arjun replied calmly "Did you just say something Panchali."

Thinking of not getting on his nerves. She too letting the topic end said, "What did you hear? I said let's get on the practice just like you said." She picked the paper he was handing her.

Both of them glared at each other. And resumed their practice.

Their emotions changed as their voices found perfect match with each other."
