I don't think Lavanya is cunning. She wanted Arnav in her life and did somethings knowingly and some unknowingly and end up in abyss.

Kavi, I am not sure that part is totally true... He said their families had known each other since they lived in the same general area... But how much of friends they were since childhood is doubtful... Yeah they became friends only when they were residents together but I am not a 100 % sure before that, they may have been acquaintances but not much more than that... Is the way I interpreted it. (I could be wrong though)

And probably their friendship also was not the same like before with a little bit of awkwardness in it.

La wanted to take their relationship to the next level & Arnav was not interested so she should have accepted it & moved on normally but then there is very little "normal" about La...

The day of their graduation when Arnav got drunk along with his friends, La included, was she that drunk that she did not know how she ended up that the night with him, or did she take advantage of the situation? Whatever the reason, whether she initiated it or not, they ended having sex that night.

That whole situation seems to be like La took advantage of Arnav's inebriated state... Whether they actually ended up sleeping together or not is up for debate, but for the sake of argument let's just say that they did...

Next morning when Arnav woke up, in all probabilities he must have felt extremely guilty and bad for what happened, and he must have apologised to her a lot before leaving her apartment.

Knowing Arnav, I am sure he must have...

Maybe Lavanya expected something else. She thought after sleeping together maybe Arnav will continue to have a relationship with her and start dating her, but unfortunately nothing happened like that. He just went away and again Lavanya was devastated.

I am sorry, but La asked for this mishap on herself if you ask me, when the guy has declined any relationship, why take advantage of a situation & force him to accept her??

To get over this hurt, she must have gone that evening too to the bar and must have gotten herself drunk again. Now in this vulnerable state she was in, someone either known to her or unknown took advantage of her and had sex with her.

I am not sure about this at all Kavi... All you know she might have been sleeping around... She certainly did not seem the virgin types to me...

The rest of your post I agree with... She can't just force someone to love her, period. And the earlier she understands this fact the better... And I am not sure whether their marriage would have lasted much longer had Aarav been alive... La is just a selfish, pig-headed person as Arnav rightly said... He doesn't want her f**ked up kind of love & I couldn't agree more... She can stuff her variety of f**ked love down her own throat rather than shoving it down Arnav's... Give the guy a break please!

Thanks Geeta..I don't remember much about it bcos I didn't read that update multiple times as I do with other updates :) that was a heart breaking one..another similar update is in "The Late spring" where Kushi's husband treated her..that was heartwrenching
