Hey,
Thank you, thank you, thank you...for this beautiful story. And this is your first, astonishes me the most.
Where do I begin from...from the very beginning I suppose. I chanced upon this story. You had just written the prologue at that time and I happened to check it out while browsing india-forums. I liked it instantly. Even stalked the site for few days to get an update. And well then I lost track.
Well one fine day as I was reading Jenny's "A late spring", I read your comment and saw in the signature line the name of your story "Dawn, Noon and Dusk", and I remembered...
Well I never let go of the thread then. I sent you the buddy request and you gracefully accepted it. I had written to you that I may not be very regular with the comments and you had wrote that as long as I like the story, you'll be happy. Bless you!
DND has explored human emotions to the very best. I don't remember how many times I have laughed, cried or simply smiled with all the characters. They were so believable, as if I knew them or am one of them(at times...).
The friendship that Khushi, Payal and Anya shared was a symphony which redefines the way of life. You are not you, you are thinking, living two other persons. You think and do things as not only for you but for three people. Where non-verbal communication becomes the way of communication. Knowing how your friends are going to react precisely on your actions...it's a bliss!
The commitment that Shyam had towards Anjali, the way Akash convinced Payal about happily everafter or how Aman knew that he will do justice to his friendship with Arnav as well as his love for Anya. These men knew their women and above all knew how to treat them...beautiful. (Wish we had more like them...) These three love stories reminded me, how wonderful it is to fall in love and then plan for a life together and taking everything in stride. The couples that you want to see around you, hear their wonderful stories and live their moments...
You touched a very sensitive topic too...the emotions of a woman done wrong, her actions in order to rectify the things and then the consequences...sometimes there is no logic, no rhyme in it. That is life and we deal with it. Two women...fighting their battle...and both emerge victorious and that was the high point.
Adoption was another grace of your story. Blessed are Sashi and Garima to do what they did. No words can equate their wonderful upbringing.
And how can I forget to mention nani, Devyaniji. What time teaches us and what we learn from it. She tells us. The very anchor...
Well I was saving the last for (can I say "my") My Arnav and Khushi... J
Khushi, first...
You meet, you like, you love and then you part...sad tale of many a human heart... Although it tells Khushi's story but its way more difficult to actually live it. The turmoil within you, what where how...the questions. But she braved all that and survived. And somewhere someone really loved her, for He sent her back what was rightfully hers...forever!
Arnav...The Ocean
Your characterization has been the best I have read so far.. Arnav is the most amazing human being I can hope to ever come across J (I really want to know your inspiration behind this characterization). My most favourite memory of Arnav is where he goes for a dive in his pool and doesn't surface till his body is painfully begging him to surface...that showed the strength of his character. Taking everything, bearing everything and no one, absolutely no one to share it with... dam I cried when we came to know that silently he was looking out for Khushi...love is truly wonderful...
Sandhya, how can I convey my gratitude to you for writing this amazing story and letting me read it. This story has given me many smiles and has been a lovely companion on many lonely nights.
I wish you all the best for all your future endeavours and hope to see another gem from your pen soon...
God bless you!
Happy writing!
Regards
