Res for An Unwanted Wife
Edited:
Oh the heart-wrenching pain of Khushi...The feeling of being unwanted and unloved, living with the knowledge of being nothing more than a burden and a duty. Wanting an anchor and getting a mirage... Twice it happened with Khushi. Twice... once when she became a (adopted) daughter and then when she became a wife... I could feel her sorrow when she realised that her husband isn't hers, that she was forced on him and that he may be involved with someone else. Oh the helplessness on knowing your family isnt there to support you and you have nowhere to go from this 'unloved' marriage as that is not a strong enough reason to be dissatisfied about!!! Well, how will the Guptas understand? They had long since blurred the lines between kindness and love and expected Khushi to live all her life that way... 😭
Inspite of it all that girl refused to weep or wail or be an object of pity or sympathy. I was so impressed. For someone who was ready to give her all to this relationship- including the initiative to physically reach out to her husband with all the tight hugs and innocent kisses- she dealt with the tumult quite bravely. Receding into her own world and not troubling her husband with her words or touch. Not many can be so strong. She was 👏
On the other hand, Arnav was quite caring and patient with a wife he didnt want. Now it was Khushi only who could be his better half. Right from the word go she lured him to her happy, pure and beautiful persona. If it were anyone else like Arnav mentioned, uska to Arnav ne mincemeat banaya hota 😕. Even when he fell in love with her, he didnt impose a physical relationship on her without ascertaining if she is comfortable. He knew for Khushi this relationship is about her right and duties towards her husband. He waited for her to want the romance first 👍🏼
It must have been troubling for him to see Khushi distance herself from him and wilt away in a silent sorrow. Good he took the matters in his own hands. He is Arnav Singh Raizada after all. What is the point of all the authority and money if he cant give his wife the due respect and privacy in his own house?
The honeymoon was long-due and much deserved.
If they keep doing it again and again, they will need several new floors at Shantivan to house their cricket team 😆
All is well that ends well. All is well when ArHi are together 😳
Btw, in our Indian arranged marriage scenario many elders manipulate many couples into doing their bidding. Not every story reaches its happily ever after. It always makes me wonder, do those elders ever realize they were wrong in playing God?
PS: Meko bhi KT! It was a discovery for me. If and when I go to Coorg, I will defo have it. Inshallah 😊
PPS: Sorry for the late unres. Asli duniya was tough!
