Chapter 28: May I?

Sanyukta went home, while Randhir and Jiggy had gone to their guest house as they had brought only a few sets of dresses which didn't have the colors as per the dress code. They had decided that they would directly meet at the venue. Vardhan had sent 2 cars for picking the four of them.

Randhir and Jiggy were ready and had reached the party hall at around 6:45 PM and were waiting for the girls. Well their girls now. They were welcomed by all the board members and the entire team of DDC. Yoyo had come along with Kruthi and their team members were quite shocked in seeing them hand in hand as they had no clue about their relationship status. Just as Randhir and Jiggy had entered the hall, the entire girl clan were drooling over them.

Randhir was in a Hugo Boss black suit and a blue shirt with his first three buttons opened. His hair was perfectly gelled and set with the correct amount of spikes. Jiggy on the other hand was in a black Armani suit which was striped with a white shirt. Jiggy didn't attempt to do anything to his hair as his Kastuki liked him this way. But Randhir had to impress someone.

Suddenly the hall fell silent as two ladies were entering. The boy sept could not take their eyes off these two young women. The shorter of the two was wearing a red chiffon one shoulder floor length dress, black stilettos and her hair was left open, while the taller wore a short dress with full arms which ended just a few inches above her knees teemed with golden stilettos and her hair was bundled into a low pony tail and kept on one side of her shoulders. Both of them were smoking hot in their outfits which perfectly clung to their bodies and enhanced their beauty by exposing the right places in a very dignified manner.

Observing the silence, Vardhan who looked no less than a hero in an Armani black suit with white shirt along with Niharika who was clad in a slim fit floor length red gown went towards the entrance to welcome the lady of the night for whom the party had been arranged. As they entered they flashed their smiles at the guests and soon reached the boys who were waiting for them. Jiggy and Randhir could never remove their eyes from their girls. There was a pang of jealousy in Randhir's eyes.

Soon the celebration started and the party was on full swing. All the guests were enjoying the party by singing and dancing. Everyone were congratulating Sanyukta for her success and well being. After a while, they were having dinner and that's when Vardhan raised a toast for Sanyukta and also for Jiggy and Randhir for the new collaboration.

As soon as they had finished the dinner, the DJ had changed the songs to romantic ones and immediately all the couples were on the floor dancing their hearts out. Vardhan asked Sanyukta to start dancing with him and the rest of the board members once. Similarly, Niharika asked Randhir to join too as he would be left alone since JiKi were already at the dance floor.

While Vardhan was dancing with Sanyu, Niharika dancd with Randhir - as soon as the tune changed, the men twirlled the ladies and as a cue, the women went on to dance with the next man. In about 10 minutes, Sanyu had danced with all the board members and was about to leave the dance floor when she was stopped by a man who held her wrist very gently yet the grip was firm.

She turned around and was surprised. She just raised her eyebrows and questioned the reason for the halt - "May I have the pleasure of dancing with the star of the evening?" he held out his right hand. She smiled her best and placed her left hand on his. She was pulled by him lightly which was unexpected by her and eventually crashed on to his chiselled chest. The mere touch of his sent shivers down her spine. The guy was also in the same situation but he had to control himself. So he steadied her and stealthily snaked up his left hand around her waist and pulled her closer which she allowed without any hesitation. No sooner she kept her right hand on his chest and they both were dancing slowly to

Ye aa ya-ya ya-ya... (He kept his left leg back and she forwarded her right leg and started dancing)

Dil ki maange thodi thi kam Har duaa bhi thodi maddham (he twirled her around and pulled her back to him)
Tune kaandhe pe sar jhukaaya jab (he gently placed her head on his chest and swayed to his left while his other hand was on her waist)
Jaise dargah pe baandhe dhaage tab (she moved away from him and he tried catching her in air)
Bina maange hi mill gaya hai sab (she came back to him from behind and put her hands on his neck)

Meherbaan hua hua Meherbaan hua hua (he twirled her again to make her stand in front of him and he lifted her by her arms gently placed her down and distanced himself from her but held her right hand with his left)

Meherbaan hua Meherbaan hua Rab (he pulled her slowly towards him whereas she came twriling towards him she came in front of him with her hands crossed across her chest which where held by him from behind)
Meherbaan hua Meherbaan hua Rab (they moved in sync to right and left, but their move was like water flowing)
Ye aa ya-ya ya-ya... (he slowly released her hands and she walked a few steps and turned to him)
Haathon ko tere apne (She held out her hand while he walked towards him)
Haathon mein le leti hoon Ke taqdeerein apni saari padh loon (He took her hands and she pulled him closer and kept her other hand on his cheek)
Aankhon mein tere chhupte (As she left his hand, he snaked his hands around her waist and kept the other hand on her cheek)
Armaan main dhoondhta hoon(He looked deep into her eyes while moving backwards)
Bas tu soche, aur poore main kar doon(He lifted and twisted her swiftly that she landed on his left side with her left hand behind his back which were held by his right)

Abhi abhi toh hum adhoore thhe Poore ho gaye tere roobaroo Oo.. ye bhi deekhe na Kahaan main khatam, kahaan tu shuru (He turned her hand so that she came to his right and left her hand then he kept his right hand waist on her and side lifted her, while she had encircled her hands around his neck, with her left leg folded and right leg stretched out and spinned along with her)

Aankhein teri (aankhein teri) Girti hain jab (girti hain jab) Ab to neendein aati hain tab
(he placed her down and came before her kept held her nape and gently pushed her to her right and he immediately held her by his left hand)
Humko lagta hai kuch dino se ab (hopped over her and went to the other side and pulled her up)
Tu ibaadat hai, tu hi hai mazhab Bewajah kaise, kyu, kahaan aur kab (left her and moved away from her while she kept twirling and went towards him)
Meherban hua hua Meherban hua hua
Meherban.. huaMeherban hua Rab
Meherban.. hua Meherban hua Rab (he took her hand and again and repeated the same step and at last they were looking at each other with a lot of passion and love)

They were lost in each others eyes and they broke the eye lock only when they heard the sound of clapping from the crowd. They realised they had danced for quite a long time and soon left each other. The moment they left each other, they missed the warmth and touch. It was more for Randhir as he wanted her to stay in his arms like that forever. But Sanyukta was confused about her feelings and antics. She didn't know why she imagined Randhir to be Gabbar. She didn't know why she felt shivers when he touched her and wondered if she saw love in his eyes. Unknowingly she was getting attracted to him and this pained her. Now she was even more determined to find out if he' was Gabbar.

Soon they left the party and were returning home in another car as JiKi were going out and had planned to return home late. Both of them were lost in their own thoughts when suddenly Sanyu screamed "Stop the car" to which the driver immediately stopped with a screeching noise. He had applied the breaks with such a force that Sanyukta was about bump into the seat, but Randhir managed to stop that by placing his hand on her head protectively. She had almost fallen, while Randhir held her head in one hand and her waist on the other to prevent her from falling. And their eyes latched.

Randhir (startled): Tum teek ho? What happened?

Sanyukta pointed out from the window at a hawker who was selling ice-cream. They were still in the same position. Sanyukta soon broke the eye lock and wriggled out of his arms and hopped out of the car after kicking out her stilettoes in the car.

Randhir on the other hand was surprised at her behaviour for wanting to have an icecream on the streets. He was amused by the way she had kicked her slippers in the car and ran away barefoot to the hawker. He started loving every bit of her. He shook his head, had a small smile playing on his lips and came out of the car. He saw her calling him fast to select the icecream.

Sanyu: Kitne paise hai tumhare paas?

Randhir(surprised): Kya?

Sanyu: Arey kitne paise hain? I forgot my purse. Aur mujhe Rs 50 lend karoge pls? (pouting) I wanna have mango and strawberry icecream. I will give you once we are home.

Randhir was astonished at how cute can she be. He was wondering if she was the same girl who was the CFO of one of the giant companies in the world or was she a 5 year old. He was happy to know that she had not changed one bit from what she was 14 years ago. He came to earth only when she snapped her fingers.

Sanyu: Randhhhiiirrr???????????

Randhir(softly): Chilla kyun rahi ho? Jo khaana hai khaalo.

Sanyu(jumping): Sach mein???????????

Randhir: Haan. Ab uchhal na band karo na. please.

Sanyu: What will you have?

Randhir: Hmmm I will have a choco bar!

Sanyu: Arey tumhe choco bar pasand hai? Sirf ek? Driver ko bhi dilao na!

Randhir: teeke I will ask and come if he'd like to have. Until then you have your icecreams.

In 2 minutes, Randhir came back and was dumbstruck with what he saw. Sanyukta had mango ice cream in one hand and strawberry on the other and was eating the two alternatively - when she had been doing this she had smeared mango on her nose and strawberry near her lips. To control his urge to kiss her he laughed his heart out

Sanyu: tum hass kyu rahe ho?

Randhir: Aur kya karoon?

Sanyu: do I look like a joker?

Randhir: Hmmm.. usse better. (And burst out laughing)

Sanyu: mujhpe hass rahe ho? Ab dekho mein kya karti hoon.

She went near him and immediately smeared the icecreams on his face and shirt. To defend himself he caught both her hands and held dangerously close to him. This proximity was affecting both, but the impact was more on Randhir as he knew that she was his Basanti. On the other hand, Sanyukta was trying to come out of his grip as his touch was doing a lot to her. Randhir slowly left one hand of hers and swiftly took the mango icecream from her hand and smeared it on her entire face. Sanyukta stood still after this and looked straight into his eyes. Randhir on the other hand was a little scared and was anticipating another attack from her but she started laughing and soon he joined her. They stopped only when they heard a man's voice "Agar aap logon ke hassi khatam ho gaya ho mujhe mere paise milenge?"

Randhir immediately went and paid the hawker and they started walking towards the car. Once they were inside the car, Randhir took a tissue and gave it to her and so did he clean himself with another tissue. Soon they reached home and it was around 12 so they immediately went to their rooms and slept off soon.
