Chapter 25 : The Unseen
Panchi and Paarth stood at the entrance of the Barbican Library. "God! This is a true library!" Panchi exclaimed, "I know!" Paarth gave an equally surprised reaction. They stepped in. The quiet environment around there was really calming and soothing. Paarth and Panchi went straight to the books section and inquired the librarian, "Mam, sorry to disturb but where can we find books on lost treasures! If we can!". "That will be in B-11, 12, 14, 15 & 16 shelf of this section dear!" the Librarian answered, "Thank you!" Panchi replied. Both of them rushed to find the shelf, when Panchi found it. "Here it is! Shelf 11! Here Paarth!" Panchi called. "Hey! You are gonna shout, then better proceed towards the exit!" the Librarian called out, "Sorry mam!" was the reply from Panchi. "See! This one! I am sure it will help us! And that too. So we will issue both of them! Okay is it?" Panchi asked. Paarth who was probably, searching for some other matter answered, "Yeah! Perfectly fine!". Then, he proceed a shelf ahead check some book, after a minute, he returned back to Panchi and told, "Check this. We have to issue it!" he told with a smirk. "What is it?" she asked and checked the name of the book, "26 ways of love mak... What!" Panchi's eyes popped out on reading the name. "Paarth! Neither we are issuing that nor we are try that!" she told him strictly. "But why not!" Paarth replied with a wink. "Shut Up! It is not funny!" Panchi scolded in a whisper. "Who say it is! It is for us! Come on Panchi ! Let us issue it!" he tried to persuade.
"Oh no! You lady is right! Don't issue that!" a girl from behind called out, alerting both of them. "Sorry but. You would have to be?" Panchi asked, "Ulupi! That is my name dear!" the girl answered back. Ulupi, for Panchi was not a really to-be-trusted person for Panchi at the first sight. "Oh hello! You look to be an Indian by name and face! Are you one?" Paarth asked. "Oh yes!" she showed them her library card. "But 'am living here for about five years now. Now as I said, don't issue that. That book is pure crap when compared to it's title!" Ulupi advised. "Have you read it?" Paarth asked. "Oh, I have read almost have the library, heard half of it, watched the other half and yes seen almost whole! You seen out of five years I have been living in London, two might have been spent here!" she told. Panchi could, for some reason, sense trouble around them with, Ulupi around, so she said, "Paarth, we should leave now! It has been long! Now I really think we should bid bye! It was nice meeting you Ulupi!". Panchi picked up her book, held Paarth's hand (which to him, was a bit awkward) and went to the Librarian. "Ma'am these books please!" Panchi told. "You card?" the Librarian reciprocated. "You will provide us. Right?" Panchi asked. The Librarian handed them forms and answered, "Fill out these and come back after a week. You card will be ready by then, you will be able to issue!" she informed. "What! ma'am we need it right now! Isn't there a midway! Please!" Panchi told with a puppy face. "Well! You can use my card if you want to!" Ulupi called out, she came near them and said, "I have no problem. Half of my day, I sit here, so I can adjust, you can issue the books using by card!". Panchi who, did not like the suggestion said, "No! thank you! We'll come back after a week!" and got ready to leave. "Panchi! Come on! Stop pretending stupid! You know how important that book is! Use her card!" Paarth told. "But...! Okay! Thank you Ulupi! We will use that!" Panchi had to do what she did not want to. By the time the Librarian fill out the entry, Paarth asked Ulupi, "Thank You for helping us! Any way we can repay for that?". "Well... If you asked, what about a dinner tonight?" she answered. Panchi wrapped one of her arms around Paarth's (probably to show possession), and answered, "Oh! Actually we have plans for tonight!". Paarth looked at Panchi, at a loss. "oh! It is okay! Maybe you can let me issue a book from your library card someday!" Ulupi replied. "Yaa! that would be a great repayment!" Panchi replied with an attitude of contempt. She took the books, held Paarth's hand and took leave.
"Panchi, let us at least call for dinner. She helped us!" paarth got free for her grip and went to invite Ulupi. Only to his shock, he could not find her on the whole floor. ''Within five minutes she vanish! Ghost I guess!" Paarth laughed at his own thought.
Everyone was waiting for Vasusen to arrive. Panchi was lost in her own world of thought. That meeting with Ulupi that this morning was troubling her for some reason. Paarth who sat just in front of her, sensed it and decided to mend the condition. Vasusen arrived, "Before you all start! I would like to inform that the food today is cooked by me! I and Vrushali. Ahm... we doing something when we got to competition and it ended with me being punished. And I had to cook as a part of the punishment!". "What! Vrushali bhabhi, you punished him or the whole house!" Paarth said. "Paarth!" Vasusen said with frown. "Yeah! Paarth is right. Okay I mean Vasusen bhai, no offence to you. But we don't want ourselves to end up with our stomachs aching !" Bheem called out. Vrushali made a huge laugh at that and then informed, "Well I have something for the girls! Sorry boys you will have to live with the stomach ache tonight! Come on girls! Let us have some noodles!". "Oh I love it! Love you Vrushali bhabhi! Enjoy guys!" and Shubhi got up with those words. Panchi who was still lost in thoughts was called by Shubhi, "Panchi! Yoho! Do you really want to eat that!". Panchi got up at an instant and took leave, making a I-pity-you face at Paarth. "Oh great! So let us start boys!" Bheem called out. "You know what, I am full! Ate a lot this evening!" Nakul and Sahdev said, simultaneously. "And I have been invited by the neighbours for dinner tonight. I just forgot that! I have to go!" Govind stood up too. "Oh I have to complete three presentation! Need to leave boys!" Dhrishtradyumna got up too. "Oh I feel like I will have to sleep hungry tonight because I am not well!" Bheem too, got up with an excuse. "Well, I guess I don't have to give any reason then!" Paarth too got up at last. "Okay! Go complete your presentation, eat with the neighbour, sleep with you stomach empty! I'll finish all this off myself!" Vasusen shouted to inform everyone.
Panchi was sitting at the study desk, still thinking about the morning encounter. While unkown to the fact that was laying on her bed in a very comfortable position. She got up the desk and yawn, then turned around and was almost freaked out of her wits on seeing Paarth right in front of her eyes. "You here! At this time of night!" she asked. "Come on! Didn't you say that we have plans for tonight!" Paarth said with a smirk. "Don't joke Paarth! You know well that I did not mean it!" Panchi said with a sharp gaze at Paarth. "Well I didn't know that! But now I do have some plans!" he got up the bed and winked at her. Making confused face at him, she turned. Using his fast reflexes he rushed a caught her wrist, he pulled her near with force, making her bump in his toned chest he said, "Not for long good lady! I want to patent you today itself!". "Paarth! Leave me!" she commanded. Adjusting the hair covering her ears, he kissed her ears and answered, " No, not today. I have to watermark you first!". "Shut up and leave!" she said, shouting. Continuing with his kissed, he was slowly moving down her neck, finally seizing his service on reaching her shoulder. He then looked straight into her eyes, asking for their first official kiss. Panchi was easily lured into that call of love, she forgot everything and closed her eyes. Paarth cupped her face by his hands and closed his eyes. When suddenly someone knocked on the door, bringing them back to reality. "Please close the door while romancing!" that was Shubhi on the door.
