''am no more with riddhima'' he whispered the last words quickly before she could interrupt him again while she stood shocked
"What???" she tried to confirm what she just heard
"Shilpa...you heard it right...i broke up with Riddhima" He tried to hold her fingers and pull her close till she trusts him again
but instead she took her steps back
"I just can't believe how selfish you are Armaan" she said with an unbelievable look..While armaan felt his heart break into pieces at Shilpa's blaming tone
" You ruined Riddhima's happy married life because of your so called "love" and now broke up with her as per your convenience" She felt disgusted
"Shilpa you ain't getting me" he defended himself fearing she will go more away from him
"Actually i don't have to get you...like seriously this is between you and Riddhima...please keep me away from this" She continued to walk refusing to hear anything more from armaan
While he tried his unsuccessful attempts to tell her he loved her...and Riddhima loves Sid thats why they broke up
Later in the day She sat in the canteen...thinking about Armaan's words..."Why did they break up when they love each other soo much...how will she tell Sid about this...and what will be his reaction"...She still felt vulnerable when it comes to Armaan and Riddhima
"Yo Miss attitude" She snapped her fingers near her ears catching her attention
"Don't you have work today???" Shilpa chuckled looking at nikki pulling the chair next to her
"yeah right...You want to kill me with works or what?"She glared at shilpa for trying to divert her mind
"Do you love armaan" she asked out of the blue...and shilpa felt like she just got induced by a high current volt
"Nikki???" She looked at her wondering if she heard right...in few days she was about to get married to sid...and she wondered how did nikki find this out
"Listen Shilpa i might be not your Sister but i have always looked upon you like the baby sister i never had...I don't want neither you nor sid to end up getting hurt in future by your pasts...i wanna know do you love armaan??? See i know all about the past from armaan but i want to hear it from you" True she could feel a sisterly affection from nikki sometimes she wished...riddhima was as close to her as nikki was...their relationship wasn't one with all sweet talks...they fight...manaofy each other just like sisters
She tilt her head hugging nikki not caring about their surrounding...she wanted that affection...thats all she knew...nikki patted her back without knowing someone was watching it all...and she regreted deeply
"Basket" she felt a tap on her shoulder and watched armaan looking the duo too
"You know armaan whenever anjie di used to fight with me pamper me i wished...i had a younger sister..with whom i could repeat it all...i am soo unfortunate...i actually had that sister...but i made her go away from myself...how much i wish...i was at nikki's place hugging and comforting Shilpa...i feel envious of nikki" she felt like she would burst in tears and she ran out of the canteen
"i never felt this miserable and guilty" armaan said to himself when he heard
"Nikki i am done with my past...i can't deny i loved Armaan...but i also can't deny all the hurt he gave me overpowered the love i had for him...i used to respect him a lot nikki but now i feel disgusted" she said remembering whatever armaan told her And left on hearing her pager beep
While leaving the hospital she heard sister lovely talking to a wardboy..."That medicine is for doctor Armaan He badly needs it right now"
"But sister lovely we just got an accident case coming...we won't be able to leave" the wardboy informed her
"What happened sister lovely??"Shilpa questionned..No matter how much she denied...she still love and care for armaan...her heartbeats raced as she heard armaan needed some medicines
"Doctor Shilpa...actually doctor armaan called and asked for some medicines...he wasn't feeling well he left from the hospital in a hurry but now no one is free to deliver these medicines to him"
Reluctantly she forwarded her hands and said .." Give it to me i'll drop these to him on my way back home"
Not love not friendship...she did it only for the sake of humanity...as a doctor she will never let anyone suffer till she can help
She drove to armaan place...and rang the bell with quivering hand...What will she say??...She made her mind to give the medicines to him and leave to never come back
She stood for a good five minutes on his threshold...when he finally opened the door...holding his head with one hand
He stood uprooted as he lifted his head and found shilpa infront of him gladly dressed in her purple suit...he doubted he was hallucinating...why will she come to him...she hated him after all that happened...he felt dizzy after listening to shilpa's thought about him...her words still echoed in his ears
"Your medicines" she forwarded to him and confirmed her presence
"S..Shi.lpa" He whispered and felt his knees growing weaker
Yes she grew stronger...and made her mind to stay away from armaan but she was still the caring Shilpa...how could she stand still watching armaan fall
She quickly moved holding armaan by his shoulder...the wind blew her hairs on his face and her lips brushed against his neck
Mere her touch made him smile despite his headache...she could feel his temperature and concluded he had fever
"Wheres your bedroom??" She reluctantly asked pushing her head away from him and looked at his face...his eyes were tightly closed and knew he wasnt in the state to tell her anything
She gently dragged him and made him sit on the couch...she examined his house searching for the kitchen and came back with a glass of water...she shuffled the medicines she brought and got a pill out taking it to his lips...She felt shivery as he unconsciously blew his hot breath against her hands...she could feel a pang of hurt in her heart...but controlled her tears from flowing out...she fed him the medicines and got up
"You still care for me don't you" she heard him mumble painfully
"I don't...Never...i am not like you armaan ..selfish...I would have had done the same even if i had a stranger infront of me" She was following her thoughts...by concealing her true feelings
"Atleast you accepted am not a stranger for you"he Smiled and mumbled loud enough to reach shilpa's ears
She cursed herself for saying that...and stood looking at him growing pale...his condition was worsening inspite of the medicines...She pulled her phone out of her bag and punched in some numbers
"hello Nikki...i am at armaan's place...can you please come here quickly and get Riddhima too" She informed nikki refusing to go close to him
"Strange na shilpa...i still remember the time i was pushing you away and i got hurt in that fight...you were hell bent on healing me...and today you're soo near to me ..am not even pushing you away but you aint ready to heal me" his tears slipped out of his eyes while he murmmured
Those words acted like a needle to her heart...how can she forget that night...where he was hurt and she was nursing his wound...she admired his braveness that day taking stitches without anaesthesia...As she lifted her hands to sooth his pain she heard
" Shilpa what happened????" Nikki entered and asked with riddhima by her side
They both looked at armaan worryingly
"Thank god you came nikki..I should be leaving now Sid must be waiting for me at home" She thanked her luck nikki came at the right time saving her from being the slave of her emotions again
She watched riddhima running quickly to armaan and smiled..." Maybe they had a fight as usual and they will patch up and forget about mine and sid's existance again...i will not let anyone toy with our feeling now never" she thought and left
