Chapter 25 :-

He
glanced back one last time and saw Ranveer down lying on his knees weeping and
shedding those precious tears silently. He felt bad.



Sanyukta
wanted to do something. She couldn't let this happen, could she? She knew it
was only because of her Randhir was sending Ranveer away. How would she bear
another guilt? She had decided she would stop this even if it meant raising her
voice against Randhir. Ranveer was her son too. She couldn't let this happen at
any cost, no ways.



"I
pulled it too far," Randhir thought and ran down the stairs.



She
was about to open her mouth but before she could Randhir ran towards Ranveer.



"Sorry
champ," Randhir told and engulfed him in a tight hug.

"I
hate you dad, I hate you," he mumbled.

"Champ,"
Randhir told and placed his hand on his cheek, "Sorry! I pulled it too far."

"What!?"
Ranveer asked utterly confused.

"Umm..."
Randhir hesitated.

"Dad?"
Ranveer told sternly, "What?"

"Umm...champ,"
Randhir told. He seemed scared.



Everyone
witnessing the scene were extremely shocked. Was the great Randhir Singh
Shekhawat getting scared of a little, innocent, cute child?



"DAD!"
Ranveer told. He had already sensed something fishy when Randhir had told told
him about the boarding school. He knew Randhir would never do that, not even in
his worst nightmare but gradually looking at his dad's expressions he had started
to believe in him.



Randhir
just stared at the ground silently.



"I
sure do need an explanation," Ranveer told angrily with a tear stricken face.

"Cha...champ,
it's past 12," Randhir told sheepishly and took a few steps back moving away
from Ranveer.

"I
didn't ask you the time," he replied sternly.

"Umm..."
Randhir muttered and pointed towards a calendar.

"What?
Why the hell are yo-" Ranveer started but stopped realizing something.

"DAD!
That was too much," he shouted after a while.



He
ran towards Randhir and started hitting him hardly. Randhir placed his hands in
a way trying to defend himself. "Sorry champ," he muttered laughing.

"Dad!
That was seriously not fair!" Ranveer told still assaulting him with punches.

"Arey
baba, sorry! Maaro mat!" Randhir told still laughing.

"Aap
has rahe ho? Ugh. Unbelievable!" Ranveer told.

"Tu
dar gaya tha!"
Randhir muttered.

"NO!"
Ranveer defended himself.



Everyone
were shocked as to what was happening. Suddenly, Vidushi and Jiggy started
giggling. Sanyukta and Parth gave them a "what-the-hell?" look. They simply
pointed towards the calendar and then towards the clock.



"Oh
my god," Sanyukta told and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Unbelievable!"
Parth muttered.



It
was April 1^st, fools day.



"This
is called revenge," they heard Randhir say. He managed to save himself from
Ranveer and ran to the opposite end of the room.

"Accha?
Wait until next year. I will show you what revenge is!" Ranveer told trying to
get hold of Randhir.

"Ha
ha ha," Randhir mocked.

"PAPA!"
Ranveer shouted.

"Finally!
Yes, I so love to hear the hindi-version of dad. You rarely call me papa' and
I so crave to hear it from you!" Randhir told and chuckled.

"Accha?
Abhi dikhata hoon!" Ranveer told.

Randhir
ran out the house with Ranveer chasing him behind.



"Aww...how
cute!" Sanyukta told once they were out.



After
around 10minutes of running and chasing they came in. Randhir was carrying
Ranveer on his back.

"I'll
show you what revenge is next year!" Ranveer hissed.

"Waiting
baby," Randhir mocked. He knew Ranveer hated when anyone calls him baby'.

"Argh,
don't call me that!" Ranveer hissed angrily and they made their way to
Randhir's room.



"I
wish I was in that room having fun with them," Sanyukta told sadly.

"You
will be there in a few days," Parth told encouragingly.

Sanyukta
nodded sadly.



They
retired to their rooms.

After
an hour, Sanyukta wasn't able to sleep. She sensed she had forgotten something.
"Argh," she huffed and got up only to find Ranveer at her door leaning onto it
and smirking.



"Tum
yahan?" Sanyukta asked curiously.

"Haan,
I came here 10mins ago!" Ranveer replied.

"And
what were you doing?" she asked narrowing her eyes.

"Watching
your antics and trying hard to control my laughter," he replied coolly and sat
on her bed.

She
hung her head low embarrassed.

"I
am addicted to that," he told pointing at her thigh.

"Eh?"
she asked.

"That
is the best pillow I ever had and now without it I am not able to sleep," he
told.

She
laughed. "This is what I forgot," she thought.



Ranveer
put his head on her lap and closed his eyes.

"What
if Randhir sees us like this?" she asked suddenly.

"So?"
I ain't scared of him," he replied.

"Whoa
baby, he is your dad!" she told.

"So?
My best friend too," Ranveer replied.

"You
don't like anyone calling you baby noe? You even kicked Parth," she told, "I
just called you that. No response?"

"It
feels good to hear it from you. I have no problem," he told.

Sanyukta
smiled.



"Ohh
shit, I forgot! What revenge was Randhir talking about?" she asked.

Ranveer
jumped up on the bed and chuckled radiantly.

"Last
year's April fool," Ranveer told.

"What
happened?" she asked.

"Ummm...I
played a prank on senior which turned out to be serious!" he told and smiled
slyly.

"May
I know what?" she told sternly faking anger.

"Okay,"
he told.

"We
were in London,
last year, on April 1^st, I wanted to fool senior. I concocted a lie
and I bunked school with Linda's help. Senior wasn't coming home only, I got
pissed off and I called him up and pretended as if..." he started and trailed
off.

"As
if?" she asked cocking her eye-brows.

"As
if I had a severe stomach pain. He left his important conference in middle and
came home running. I continued to pretend as if I was ill and he took me to the
doctor. I knew the doctor very well, he was senior's friend only and in the
room I told him everything about my plan. He gladly agreed to help me;
obviously he would and acted as though my condition is extremely critical. All
my dad's foreign delegates had come to see whether everything was okay and even
they eventually came to the hospital. When the doctor acted about my condition,
he freaked out so bad that he, Randhir Singh Shekhawat, cried very badly in
front off the whole group. He was so upset. He started shaking and shivering.
He held doctor uncle's collar and shaked him to and fro threatening him to save
me at any cost!" he told.

Sanyukta's
jaw dropped.

"I
didn't even know all this was happening outside. I heard some breaking voices
and came running outside. When I came out, I saw senior slouched on the floor
and his face in his palms. I immediately ran to him and made him look up. His
eyes were red and it looked like as if had escaped death narrowly. The red
colour of his face was replaced with white!" he told.

"Then?"
she asked.

"The
minute he saw me he hugged me so tight narrowly breaking my bones. He started
breathing normally after 5 minutes and looked at me. He asked me whether I was
fine and I replied that I was only trying to play a prank. He left me abruptly
and got up. I looked at him and he slapped me hard across my face," he told.

"Slapped
you? Then?" she asked shocked.

"Yes,
a tight one and then later he got down on his knees and hugged me again and
cried hysterically. I felt guilty, very guilty; I shouldn't have dragged it to
that extent! He knew I would feel culpable and so then he kissed me and started
smiling. I apologized with a puppy face and he couldn't resist it. He swore
that he would take his revenge but after that, that topic was never raised
again until today when he trolled me bad," he replied and folded his hands
across his chest faking anger.

"What
you did was nothing compared to what he did! You broke him those 10minutes!"
she told.

"You
broke him for 5 long years. 10 minutes is hardly any comparison to that!" he
told and immediately regretted it.

Her
eyes welled up. She knew what he told was exactly true but she couldn't help
but cry.

"Sorry
mom, I didn't mean to," he told.

"I
know, that's okay. You are right!" she told.

"Okay
mom, it's late. I have to sleep now. Bye!" he told and kissed her on her cheek.
He didn't know what he would utter next and so he thought it would be better
getting out of the room.

She
kissed him back and muttered a love you' to which he replied a love you too'
and proceeded to walk to the door.



Something
struck Sanyukta's mind and she called out to Ranveer.

"Yes!?"
he asked.

"Umm...till
when your school is tomorrow?" she asked.

"Three.
Why?" he replied.

"Umm...simply!
Okay go and sleep, love you!" she told.

"Love
you too mom," he told and went off.

"Shucks
yaar!" she muttered and lied down.



She
had observed one thing when Ranveer was narrating about the prank he played,
the way he took Randhir's name, Randhir Singh Shekhawat' with so much pride
proved that he respected him a lot and loved him beyond imagination. She
wondered whether she could earn the same love and respect from him just like
Randhir. She knew she stood no chance, but still she wanted them. 



"Knock knock," Sanyukta heard
someone say.
"Arushi?" Sanyukta told and sat up.
"Can I come in?" Arushi asked.
"Please. You really don't have to ask you know," Sanyukta told,
"When did you come?"
"Umm I came an hour ago," Arushi told.
"An hour ago?" Sanyukta asked.
"Yes. You and Ranveer were talking. I didn't want to disturb you'll so I
went away!" Arushi told.
"Ohkay, you need something?" Sanyukta asked looking at the watch. It
was 1.15am.
"No, just wanted to finish the imcomplete talk? Remember? Office?"
Arushi told.
"Oh yeah, so you used to work in Randhir's London branch?" Sanyukta asked.
"Used to? I still do. I have come here to help. That's all," Arushi
told.
"You'll go of after that?" Sanyukta asked.
"Yeah, me and Vishal!" Arushi told.
"Ummm you both?" Sanyukta asked.
"Yeah we love eachother but still didn't confess," Arushi told.
"Oh okay," Sanyukta told.
"Sanyukta, Randhir is a great guy. Don't lose him. You'll be the one at
loss," Arushi told.
"I know. I love him and I will not lose him at any cost," Sanyukta
told.
"I really don't know what happened between you both but I know one thing,
he is broken. Broken bad! All that happiness, I feel, is a mask just to cover
up his sadness. Everytime he smiles, it is never reached his eyes. He isn't
happy Sanyukta. Yesterday I found a glow in his face which I never did in London. I was shocked but
now I know the reason. It is you. Your mere presence makes him extremely happy.
Don't ever leave him okay?" Arushi told.
"Yes. I will not ever leave him," Sanyukta replied with tears in her
eyes.
"If you need any help then I am here to help you!" Arushi told with a
smile.
"Thanks," Sanyukta replied.
"There will not be any threat from me," Arushi told and winked.
Sanyukta chuckled.
"I am like his elder sister and yes I am approximately 5-6 years elder to
you'll," Arushi told.
Sanyukta's jaw dropped.
"You're kidding right?" Sanyukta asked.
"No. I am serious!" Arushi told.
"You look nowhere near 30!" Sanyukta told.
"Santoor Santoor, mummy?" Arushi mimicked the ad.
Sanyukta laughed.
"Okay, that's enough. We need to sleep now!" Arushi told.
"Yeah, bye!" Sanyukta told and Arushi left.

After Arushi left Sanyukta cursed herself
for mistaking Arushi to be an obstacle between Randhir and her. She felt happy
and light after talking to Arushi.



Next morning,



SCUBE AUTOMOBILES :



"Okay guys, we need to
complete designing the car by the next Monday at any cost. I have given my word
and so it has to be done at any cost!" Randhir told to the group.



They had almost finished the
designing and it was only Wednesday. They were only left with the final
touch-ups of the interior parts and the outer hood design. They were happy with
the progress they had made. Randhir was extremely happy that finally he was
fulfilling his dad's dream. Sanyukta had tried to attract his attention towards
her but he always ended up in ruining his work. So she had decided to let him
work for the time being, as she knew how important this was for him, and then
later she would try her best to get him back, no, she would win him back at any
cost. She needed him. She wanted him.



The day before the
presentation :



"You scared?" Parth asked.

"Uh yeah," Sanyukta muttered.

"It's okay. You'll be good!"
he told.

"Haan Sanyu, you will be
awesome!" Jiggy told.

"Yes for sure," Vidushi told.

"Guys, I know I will be good.
I have to present it with Mr. Akdu, which is my problem. You'll know how
perfect and flawless he is!" Sanyukta replied.

Everyone nodded.

"That isn't exactly making me
feel good," she told angrily.

Everyone laughed.

"Guysss!" Sanyukta yelled.

"Are you nuts!?" Randhir
yelled back.

"Sorry," Snayukta told
softly.

"Shut up and concentrate for
the presentation," Randhir told.

"Oh yes," Sanyukta mumbled.

"Pata nahi kyu issi ko select
kiya. Good-for-nothing woman, she'll screw the deal," Randhir mumbled busy
reading the papers.



That was it. She had to prove herself now. She handed over the papers to
Kaustuki and headed to the washroom to wash her face. She came out totally
composed. She was all set. She confidently entered into the conference hall and
sat at her seat.

"Tumhe sambhalna bhula nahi hoon," Randhir whispered to himself hoping that no
one heard him and went in.

Parth heard to it and smiled
to himself thinking that some things never change.



The borad members had decided
to select Sanyukta to present it along with Randhir as they knew how efficient
she was, they only wanted to see it live.



The presentation went
extremely good. Randhir was all the while calm and composed but Sanyukta was s
bit scared. She went up there slowly and started softly and then boomed up her
voice. She rocked the platform. Randhir had to agree, he was blown away.



That day marked made itself
important in the history of Randhir's company. It was the best deal Randhir had
ever made. They won. 

Randhir was extremely happy
that day. He was happy for himself and for his dad who's dream was fulfilled.



"Cheers!" Sahil shouted.

"Cheers!" everyone replied
and emptied their glasses.

Every employee was partying
that day. It was their grand success. Randhir didn't stop them either. He
neither joined them. He simply sat in his cabin and looked at the group
partying in front of him. All the memories came back, their fights, taunts,
uncountable kisses at every nook at corner of FITE, makeout sessions,
competitions, challenges, heart-breaks and most importantly their love. His
eyes welled up. He immediately grabbed his car keys and went out.



Sanyukta had seen him running
out hurriedly. She wondered where he was going. She didn't stop him; she knew
he must be upset because of her and her previous deeds.



Randhir drove as fast as he
could and finally after a journey of 2 hours, the car came to a halt. He locked
the door rashly and ran frantically searching for someone.

"Shit, mai bhi kaha dhoond
raha hoon!" Randhir told facepalmed.



He ran in the opposite direction and stopped after a while.

"Dada?" he screamed into the
class.

"Randhir?" Vardhan replied
and looked at him.

"Dada, I need to talk!"
Randhir told.

"Okay, give me 5 minutes!"
Vardhan replied and looked at his class.

"NO! Now!" Randhir protested.

"Randhir, I have a class
going on," Vardhan told sternly.

"I don't care, come out now!"
Randhir told, "When did you really start taking classes seriously?"

"Okay coming," Vardhan
replied angrily. 

"Quite now. Solve these till
I come back," Vardhan told pointing towards the board.

The students smiled seeing
that a man half of Vardhan's age was ordering him to do something. They were
shocked.



"You do know they will not be
able to solve it na?" Randhir asked trying to lessen Vardhan sir's anger.

"Randhir! I was middle of a
class," Vardhan told angrily.

"So? I am more important,
right!?" Randhir replied.

"Oh god," Vardhan told and
looked up.

"You didn't answer to me. They
won't be able to solve it na?" Ramndhir asked and smirked.

"No, I don't think so. I
haven't got Randhir's and Sanyukta's in every batch!" Vardhan told.

"Umm dada? Coffee?" Randhir
asked.

"You surely didn't come here
for coffee," Vardhan asked narrowing his eyebrows, "What's up?"

"Umm...the deal is finalised!"
Randhir told.

"What?" Vardhan yelled.

"Yes!" Randhir replied.

Vardhan hugged Randhir on his
biggest achievement and they went to canteen to celebrate his victory.

Vardhan sure wasn't Randhir's father but he was no less either. He always
shared his life and Ranveer's life with Vardhan, be it any small occasion. This
was big, he had to tell Vardhan.



"You and Sanyukta presented
it?" Vardhan asked.

"Umm...yes, how do you know?"
Randhir asked shocked.

"Nothing new. You'll are the
best with eachother!" Vardhan told.

"NO! I am the best alone
too," Randhir told.

"Yes you are but you are only
much more efficient when you work with her," Vardhan told.

"Whatever, it isn't anything
like that!" Randhir told.

Vardhan laughed.



After an hour of talking,
Randhir felt light. He drove back home and it was late night by the time he
reached home. He knew everyone would be sleeping so he silently went to Ranveer's
room. He kissed him goodnight and went to his room and slept.



Sanyukta had seen him coming
back safe and sound. She breathed. She was hell confused when he ran out of the
office like a mad man.

"Randhir, baby, deal
finished. I can work my plan now!" she mumbled and smirked.



She went upstairs to Parth's
room and knocked the door. He opened it.

"Sanyu? Itni raat ko?" Parth
asked.

"I need a favor," Sanyukta
told.

"Baad mein, kal!" he told.

"Haan, listen to me now!" she
told.

"Hmm?" he replied half
sleepy.

"I want you to take everyone
out tomorrow, everyone!" she tols stressing on everyone.

"What?" he told now wide
awake, "What are you planning o do?"

"None of your business, just
make sure no one comes home before the evening of day after tomorrow. Okay?"
she asked.

"Sure, easy task but why?" he
asked.

"Just do it!" she told and
winked.

"Ranveer's school?" he asked.

"Today was his last final
exam! Vacations from tomorrow," she replied.

"Okay fine, what are you
planning to do?" he asked.

"Ugh, no questions! Just do
it!" she told angrily.

"Okay fine but be careful,"
he warned.

"I will, remember no one
should be home until day after tomorrow's evening," she told and left.



"Pata nahi abb ye going to be
Mrs. Shekhawat kya karne waali hai!" he mumbled and dozed off again.



"Abb tum apne aap ko bhi nahi
bacha paaoge Randhir, I am coming, beware!" she told and smiled slyly.

There
ends my twenty-fifth
chapter.
