Part 48:



"How could you do this Payal? Fine you told her, but you should've at least informed me about it." Rey almost yelled at her.


"I'm sorry but I was bound by Kriya's promise of not telling you anything unless you try to know about it."


"Oh god. Now hurry up. I need to reach home as soon as possible."


"Yeah, let's go."


After dropping Payal and driving at an insane speed limit he reached his house. He threw the keys towards the watchman indicating him to park the car and rushed inside. He found Kriya playing with Kaira.


"Kriya can you come upstairs with me? I need to talk to you."


"I'm busy." Came a stern reply from her.


"It's important Kriya, please."


"Fine." Saying this she got up and proceeded towards their room without a word.


Once they reached their room he bolted the door from inside. He made Kriya sit on the bed and knelt down before her. He clasped her hands in his and tried to speak something but words betrayed him. She looked at him with an unknown expression but it was surely not anger filled one.


"I'm sorry." He said.


"For what?" She asked in a whisper.


"I'm sorry for hiding things for you. I know it wasn't the best thing to do but it was the best thing I could do to keep you away from danger."


After a brief moment of silence, Kriya spoke "It hurts Rey. It hurts so much knowing that you couldn't confide in me."


"Don't even think about it. I trust you much more than I do myself. I was just taking some precautions. I cannot afford to lose you. I don't want to lose you. You are way too special in my life Kriya. And without you I'm nothing."


"There were a lot of opportunities when you could've told me. You could've told me in our bedroom when we were alone. Who would overhear our conversation? I know you care for me but it hurt a lot to know that you were hiding something with me. It heard a lot knowing that you were with someone else before our marriage. It hurt a lot thinking that you are going to be a father of someone else's child. It hurt a lot." Saying this she started sobbing. He immediately pulled her into a hug.


"Kriya stop crying. I'm sorry I made you cry a lot. But I promise that now there will not be any more tears in your eyes. I can't bear the sight of you crying. Please stop crying love." At the word 'love' both of them froze. It felt as if the world around them has stopped. Kriya slowly pulled back and stared at him wondering if she heard right. On the other hand Rey was astonished with himself. He knew he had feelings for Kriya but Love? A small smile crept on his face when realization hit him.


"What did you say?" Kriya asked in disbelief.


"Love! I addressed you as love? Do you have any problem with that?" He asked with a smile. Kriya nodded in negation. Her cheeks turned into a light shade of pink.


"So, what were we talking about, love?" He stressed on the word 'love'. She looked at him with wide eyes as a smile was forming on her lips.


"I don't know." She mumbled looking down.


"Why aren't you looking at me, love?" He asked with a mischievous smile.


"Reyyy...stop calling me that." She whined while trying to cover her blush.


"Stop calling you what?" He asked with a sly smile.


"Stop calling me love." She muttered slowly.


"Why? I thought you like it when I call you love, don't you?"


"I do but it makes me feel shy." She whispered not looking at him. He lifted her face with his index finger and closed the distance between them. "And I love it when you blush." He whispered while biting her earlobe earning a soft moan from her. She dug her face in his chest with a smile on her face. He felt contended having her in his arms. She planted a small kiss on chest over his shirt. After what it felt eternity, she pulled back.


"I need to go. Kaira will be waiting for me." He nodded his head in negation and tightened his grip on her. "Please let me go."


"Only if I get a kiss." He said pointing towards his lips. She leaned forward and pecked his lips. Instead of letting her go he held her more firmly. "I asked for a kiss not a peck." Showing his tongue she pushed him and stood up. As a reflex action he pulled the strings of her blouse freezing her on the spot. He aimed for the pallu of her saree but ended up untying the blouse. Her hands reached over her chest from preventing the blouse to fall down. She turned around and looked at him with wide eyes while he bit his lip.


"Ye..Yeh kya kiya aapne?" She asked slowly.


He was about to apologize but something hit in his mind and his apologetic expression turned in to a sly one. "Maine wahi kiya jo mujhe acha laga." He said taking steps towards her. She tried going to the washroom but he blocked her path.


"Let me go to the washroom. I can't stand here like this." She said looking down.


"I don't mind seeing you like this." Saying this he pulled her towards him. Her one hand was on her chest and the other on Rey's shoulder.


"Either you let me go or..."


"Or?" He waited for her to continue.


"Or..or you tie it." She said as her breaths hitched.


"I would love to unfasten it rather than fasten it. But for you I'll tie as well only if you give me a proper kiss." Having no other option she leaned forward and captured his lips. While they were kissing passionately, his hands roamed on her bare back before tying the strings of her blouse.

"Umm, Rey can I ask you something?"

"Yeah, go on."

"Umm...why did Payal kiss you at the mall that day?"

"She had to do it 'cause Ravesh was spying on her and to make it seem realistic she did that. Till that day even I was unknown to the truth. And before you ask I'd like to tell you that due to Ravesh's threat Payal came to our house. I swear I'd kill that bas***d."

"I'm always there with you Rey. We'll sort it out together."

"I know we will." Before leaving the room Kriya pecked his lips leaving a huge smile on his face.
