SORRY I'VE BEEN MIA IT'S BEEN A ROUGH PAST FEW MONTHS FOR ME!
"Husband?" Khushi's eyes widened at the word
"Nonsense! I'm not a married woman!" Khushi dismissed the comment
"Honey, I'm your husband." Arnav said again with increasing anger
"Arnav I think that's enough for today. She's only just awoke." Anjali commented to her younger brother
"Yes, Di."
Kuhshi looked up at the woman only to be greeted by a sharp pain. It was like her brain was trying to break free of her skull. Just a mere glance of the woman who's ignorance caused her accident had her crying out in agony.
"Get out!" She snapped at the two siblings
"Khushi..." Arnav said in a low tone
"Leave, I'd like to be alone." Her hand massaged her temple in attempt to lessen the pain
"I've just sent HP to pick up the pain medication so please wait a moment." Anjali spoke in a whisper
Khushi nodded confirming that she had heard the statement. With a shaky hand she dismissed the woman before her. Arnav waited for Anjali to leave the room before he snapped at his wife. The promise he'd made to treat her better forgotten.
"I know that you are in pain but will never speak to Di like that again." Arnav's voice was laced with authority
"It's my mouth I'll speak however I'd like." Khushi grunted at him
"Khushi I'm your husband you must yield to my words." He nearly shouted
"I'm sorry but to me your nothing. Just some man whom claims to be my husband."
It slipped his mind that kuhshi had no memories of her own. Arnav quickly apologized to her and left the room to find pictures, proof, of their marriage. Only did in dawn on him that there was no proof of their marriage because he forcefully married her in a hurry. Arnav then decided that he'd have to prove their relationship through his actions.
Khushi could finally breathe a sigh of relief after Arnav left the room. The man seemed overbearing and use to getting his way. She'd known the man for a couple of hours and already developed a distaste for him. If she was his wife like he'd claimed he obviously had no respect for her.
Anjali walked to Khushi's room with a silver tray holding her pain medication and a glass of water for her injured sister-in-law. She tried to open the doors as quietly as possible.
"Khushi I've brought your medicine. It should ease your pain." She said
When Khushi looked up at Anjali the pain in her head intensified. Khushi had know idea who she was but her body reacted violently whenever she appeared in front of her. She had no reason to dislike her for she couldn't remember her but because Khushi hated the pain she in turn didn't like Anjali because her presence brought pain.
"Khushi I'm so--" Anjali stared
"Didn't you hear the doctor? I can't remember anything so you apology is waisted on me." Khushi grunted at her "whatever you've done is in the past and has quite literally been forgotten so don't bring it up."
"Anjali it's getting quite late you should get some sleep. Khushi and I will do the same. We'll see you in the morning Di" Arnav suddenly appeared in the door way
"Of course Chote, goodnight." With that Anjali exited the room.
"Did you take the medication Di gave you?" Arnav questioned Khushi
Picking up the white capsule Anjali had left on the side table along with a glass of water; she placed it in her mouth and swallowed the foul tasting thing. She saw her husband nod in approval before he set his bedding on the couch.
"I'm sorry I yelled earlier."
"I have a feeling I'll get use to it." Khushi chirped with a cheeky grin
"Khushi sleep now, in the morning I expect you to have a better attitude then you had today."
"Yeah, you try waking up from a coma and lose all your memories and let's see how your attitude is."
"I understand that it's hard but please don't take it out on everybody else."
Angry and sadness swelled up in Khushi's heart. She hated herself for being so vulnerable and more than that she hated that she couldn't remember anyone. I a brave move she took the glass that sat on the nightstand, and shattered it with all of her strength.
Picking up a shard of glass she held in her palm before squeezing it with all her strength. The glass cut into her skin releasing a stream of red blood from her hand. Khushi could feel the tears welling up in her eyes but refused to cry. The pain that she'd caused herself gave her clarity she'd not had since she'd awoken.
"Khushi, let go!" Arnav yelled while he tried to unclasp her hand from the glass
"What's wrong?" Akash came running in to see both their hands covered in Khushi's blood
"Call the doctor!" Arnav shouted still unable to get the glass out of Khushi's hand
Within five minutes the entire Raizada family has gathered outside their bedroom door. The doctor came rushing in, and said Arnav to explain what had taken place. In a mumbled voice Arnav told the older man what had happened.
"Khushi, everything is fine now." The doctor spoke in a soft voice "let go of the glass dear. No one blames you for your memory loss. There's no need for you to take it out on yourself." The man had persuaded her into dropping the glass
When all way said and done the doctor had calmed down Khushi and given her a sleeping aid.
"Be wise when choosing your words she's very fragile at the moment." The doctor advised the Raizada family "think about her situation before you speak or pass blame on her. Especially you Mr. Raizada you may cause her downfall."
