Shyam walked into Raizada industries building. His feet had a jump to it as he made his way to the account dept. to meet the main man there. Today is the day where he would get the money from here and give it back to Kammo Bhai. He wiped the sweat that gathered on his forehead as he remembered his last encounter with that woman one month ago. He just hoped he doesn't have to be in that positon ever again. Just as he was about to enter the office a voice stopped him

Jeeja ji??? Called the very knowable voice of Akash.

Shyam pulled on a fake smile and turned to face him.

Aap yaha kya kar rahe ho? He asked Shyam with a surprised look.

I have come here to collect the money from the accountant. Shyam said. He dint want to tell Akash why Arnav had decided to give him that money.

Oh that one? Bhai had asked you to collect the money to be paid against Miss Gupta's medical fee right? Akash asked trying to control the smirk that was threatening to grown on his face

Yes.. yes... Shyam stammered. He suddenly felt very warm stading here.

I have already given that instruction to the accountant jeeja ji. Now on the money will directly get transferred when ever the hospital asks for it. Akash reply with a smile, suppressing the laugh which bubbled in him looking at how ashen his jeeja ji's face went.

Oh... Was what Shyam could manage. He walked out of the office in a dazed manner. He was out of idea for now. He dint know how he was going to handle Kammo bhai' goons when they come knocking.

Sitting in his car he drove to the familiar caf he visited frequently. He ordered his drink and thought of his next plan. He knew he had to either arrainge for the money or a girl to take Kushi's place. That is when it hit him. Where the hell was Kushi. Arnav dint talk abt that girl to him. He dint even question him about what happened that night. He only thought things were good as Arnav was behaving well with him. But now when he thought abt it, there was changes in Arnav too now a days. He seemed to be always in a hurry to go somewhere. Never home at night and he has not even talked properly to his di for the past one month. Shyam closed his eyes as he tried to connect the dots. Maybe Kushi is the one who is distracting Arnav all these days, or there is some thing else going on. Shyam thought as his mind worked on different scenarios. If Kushi has nothing to do with Arnav where the hell was she? He had checked back at Gupta's house only to find that the house was now sold off to someone else. The two old hags living there were also gone and the old man was dead. He had seen Payal and had made sure she would keep quiet for sometime. Thinking about Payal, he had to deal with her permanently. Thought Arnav might not believe her he couldn't say the same thing for Akash. If that boy started digging things could get nasty. Shyam thought. Just then he heard someone call him. He opened his eyes only to see a fist growing closer to his face and then wham. Shyam fell off his chair which a mind blowing pain on the left side of his face.

He felt himself being pulled up and dragged out of the door. He was thrown forward and he fell on the floor only to look up to a pair of slippers.

Oye chikne he heard the most dreded voice call him. Gulping he managed to draw himself up and stood opposite the that woman.

Chokri kaha hai be? Kammo bai asked as she munched on her beatle leave.

Wo... Kammo... shyam struggled

Pese kaha hai? she asked him as she spit the red liquid out of her mouth on the road.

Hum de denge. Shyam managed to say. He was sweating out of fear seeing her stand in front of him.

Jal hi..

Abhi chahiye... pese ya ladki abhi kea bhi. She ordered him.

Wo.. Kammo bhai... itna pese nahi hai humare pas.

Accha.. chall ek aur mahina diya par ek condition hai. she said with a smirk.

Kya? Shyam asked feeling better.

Apne aapko chata mar. she said

Shyam slapped himself

Na. hatho se nahi. Inse. Saying she removed her slippers.

Apne aapko inse do chate mar. she said chalenginly.

Shyam gulped as he looked around. People had already started forming a circle around them. There were looking at him in disgust. Shame consumed him.

Chal... Mar ya me maroon? She asked with a smirk.

Shyam took her slippers and slapped himself twice. He heard Kammo bhai's laugh.

Chall be chikne agle mahine milthey hai. saying she left him there

Shyam burned in humiliation there. People were talking about him and he was just standing there trying to gther himself. All this was cos of Arnav and Kushi. Yes. If that man had not shown up that night, he would have never been in this position today. He would get his revenge from him. Yes he would. He would destroy anything good that could happen to Arnav and his family. Promising himself this, Shyam ran away from there towards his car and drove off.

It seems your boss is in love with you. Maan said in an amused tone to Payal. He was with her for the past one hour. Akash had just left and that is how Maan was able to see her.

He seems to be a good man. He continued lost in his thoughts. The past month had been stressfull for him. The first 3 weeks had passed with him looking for the Guptas and now this. with Payal in coma, finding Kushi seems to be getting tougher by the moment. But Maan was not gonna give up. He would surely find her.

The doctor said you'll be alright Payal. Just come back to us soon. For Kushi. She needs you. He whispered as he placed a small kiss on the back of her palm.

Good night sis... see you tomorrow. Saying he was just abt to get up when the door opened and a young man entered.

Who are you??? He asked authoritatively.

Who the hell are you? Maan asked in the same manner.

I'm Ayush. Her friend. Who are you?

I'm Maan Singh Kurrana her brother. Maan replied with a smirk seeing that his face just paled listening to him.

MSK??? Payal's brother?? Ayush asked confused.

So you knew Kushi too?? Ayush asked him hopefully.

Kushi?? How do you know her? Maan was now interested in his talks

Let us go to the cafeteria and talk. Saying Ayush led Maan to a silent spot in the now empty hospital cafeteria.

You see sir, I used to live near their house in Lucknow. I am 2 years elder to Payal and are good friends with her and Kushi.

Do yo know anything about Kushi that could help me out? Maan asked desperetly.

You know Payal ji came here only because she wanted to look for Kushi. I also want to find her out soon as I don't have trust on her husband. Ayush said with a stone like face

Husband??? Maan practically yelled. This was a news for him.

Yes dint you know. Payal ji's buaji forcebly married Kushi to a man 13 years her senior.

What is his name? Maan questioned him taking out his phone.

I only know his name was Shyam. I don't even know his full name.

Maan rubbed his face with his palm in frustration. This was not good. Everytime he gets a lead it end dead. How was he supposed to find Kushi out if things work out like this.

I think we can get more information in Payal's ji's house. Ayush said suddenly.

Maan nodded his head in acceptance.

One more thing sir. Ayush stopped him. Do you think Payal ji was in an accident or was this all incidental? He asked looking very serious.

You mean to say some one would try to kill Payal? Why? Maan was now confused as well as worried

May be. Just think abt it sir why should something like this happen immediately after you contacted her?

Are you saying there is someone in my office who did it? Maan's mind was running with all the possibilities.

May be or there was some one in this office who wsa listening in. Ayush offered.

Ok I'll see into this. you first get me into Payal's residence tomorrow and I'll send one of my men to get the security tape of the parking lot and way of Raizada industries office. Both the men shook hands with promises to inform each other if they found anything and left.

Shyam quickly hid himself behind the serving bar. He couldn't believe how lucky he had gotten tonight. Maan being Kushi's brother was an amazing news to him. He would use this information when needed. For now he needed to get rid of any proves that Payal might have in her house and also the video tapes. Payal's death could wait for tomorrow. Thinking Shyam made his way out of the hospital.
