I pity Akash, living with this constant chip on his shoulder that he is not as good as Arnav. Something dormant came to the fore with that article & ended up in this showdown. Arnav may have been too shocked to react, but he needs to do somerhing fast, or the emotional wound will fester.

I don't know why you felt people would be upset with Akash coz he had every reason to be upset.

Parents have a way of deciding which field is more successful and unknowingly alienate their own kids in the process. We have a long way to go in accepting children inclined towards arts are as intelligent as the one who have the science bent. Right brain vs left brain...right. I guess the parents brainless behaviour took a toll on Akash.

In this mess between Akash-arnav-Khushi...It is Khushi who is at fault. She had no business to tag Akash along the way she did when she didn't have the feelings for him.

Arnav to a certain extent could be blamed... because he didn't make much of an effort to stay away from Khushi until she broke up with Akash (Not sure Akash would have taken Arnav Khushi relationship well even after he had broken up with Khushi, hypothetically. It is a taboo thing. You don't go for your friend's girl or your brother's. Same thing goes for girls).

In this scenario...it is Akash I sympathise with the most. But of course its my opinion.

This was one chapter I had waited keenly. And you did an amazing job :)

That picture was just the straw that broke the camel's back. All those years of feeling inadequate and unappreciated bursting out.

Parents, knowingly or unknowingly, so often favour the child who is achieving more according their own parameters and definition of achieving. One can understand Akash's feelings. How can logic be brought to bear when there's years of pent up frustration pouring out.

That's not to say I don't feel bad for Arnav being at the receiving end of this. A case of the son bearing the sins of the father.
