Offcourse he is ASR so he got to have a plan to expose the culprit. And that plan also included saving his lady from the culprit. His concern for Khushi and her well being is not just mere concern he knows it, we know it, and now Khushi knows and believes it too. So for saving her life she has given him the chance to tell his side of story but all at the right time.
