This was such an emotional roller coaster of an update. They were able to relate to each other and slip into easy familiarity. Arnav was hopeful enough to actually enter the temple and pray ...all for her. He actually opened up about the past and let her see the scars in his heart and soul. Like a true kindred spirit, she tried to be there for him and comfort him. This woman has the biggest heart ever.

Then comes the call from Nandu that triggers the jealous reaction and the emotional outburst from Arnav. Khushi finally got to see how and why he broke her heart, soul and life. Her angry reaction is so justified.

Of course she has to protect herself and hence she tried to move past the revelation, acting as if nothing has changed. This felt very abnormal reaction so I am thinking that this is Khushi's way of dealing with the situation on the surface but the foundation of her world, her being has been rocked and the fault lines will start to appear in her reconstructed life because the very foundation of her world had shifted. She loves him!!!! But she is also a very moral and upright person.

In their relationship, it seems that the time and place is never right. Now he is ready to admit and accept his love and she is not able to see it all with a clear head and conscience and ultimately does not even trust his professed feelings.

Sandhya, Congratulations on the new thread!

I love the Khushi in DND - there is such a healthy self-respect in her character - I like it that she does not jump into his arms at the first sign of apology and confession from Arnav. While she understands his reasons now, she still respects herself enough - and at the same time she does not delude herself - she is very much aware of how much she still loves him.

Truly enjoying your story, and it's characters.

sigh! a tenth thread, 44 chapter, goodness, you're marvellous! I cannot help but swoon over the last chapter, I read it so many times it felt like I'd start crying any second. that chapter just made me so so happy, it was a stunner. the way the entire chapter moved from one scene to another, from tensed to relaxed, from sad to chirpy, that was beautiful. I absolutely loved how arnav handled the conversation at the dhaba, I loved how he opened up without giving a cent of his strong presence away, how he handled his confession, his revelation, his past, his reasons, they were a shocker for me as well. But the best part was khushi's reaction, I never expected her to run straight into his arms, thanks for not doing that. I'm glad she decided to forgive and forget the past, but the present is still here, there is a third person involved, and it shouldnt ever be easy for her to forget the third person in this equation so easily, that's what I loved about khushi.

cheers,
sonia
