"Little Anjali was sitting in the living room of her house, playing with her doll house while Arnav sat on the sofa going through a football magazine. Ratna sat observing them, making sure that the two didn't get into another verbal or physical fight. She wanted the two to spend some quality, peaceful time together. So even though Arnav and Anjali were not talking to each other, at least they were in the same room, not throwing dirty looks at each other even - too scared of Ratna at the moment. A few minutes later, Anjali looked up from her doll house and asked Ratna hopefully "Ma, can I please get Payal and Khushi to play with me?"

This reminds me of my second elder brother and me 😆 We used to fight just like this 😛 The only thing is mother never does this 😆 She let's us fight! How sweet na 😛 And this is the only thing that I remember from my childhood 😆😆😆 I have a terrible memory just like Sanaya 😛 And we still fight, but the only difference is we use weapons nowadays 😆 He uses his cricket Bat which he proudly announces as Rs. 30 000 and I am honored by giving shots from it on ma head 😆😆 And I use hockey stick 😉 Wonder who will end up in mental hospital 😛 We also use water, a jug full of water on him and he will pour a bottle full which has the quantity of 30l in it 😆😆 I get a bath 😉

"You have a brother, play with him" Ratna suggested. She saw her children looking at each other in disgust and then looked back again towards Ratna"

Exactly, play just like I played with my brother 😆😆

"Ma, why did you get him from the hospital? Couldn't you have picked up a girl instead with whom I could play?" Anjali complained again, not forgetting the fight Arnav and she had an hour back"

Once again, this is the same incident 😛 but the opposite, my bro asks this question from Mom 😆 Actually he has a galath family that I was adopted 😆

"The hospital people told me that if I pick up a girl, I will have to pick a boy too. Justice and Equality, you see?" Ratna shook her head, thanking her God for the fact that she didn't have any more children - these two were enough to drive her crazy"

"Stop you two right away!" Ratna yelled at them, making them freeze "Anjali, go to Garima Aunty's house and check if the girls are awake or asleep. If Khushi is awake and willing to come then please tie Laxmi in the backyard...and you Arnav...don't move from here. Sit right here! No running away when the girls will come here" Ratna's glare was enough to glue Arnav to his place. He knew he had gone far by pulling out several strands of hair from Anjali's head while they fought. In his defense, Anjali bit him first"

Yes, that's my mother's reaction too! And I will be told off for some work and Bro would go his way to plan some other way to irritate me 😆😆

"Another ten minutes later, Ratna saw Anjali and Khushi coming together in to the house, with Anjali struggling to keep Khushi in her arms. Ratna quickly got up to take Khushi from Anjali's arms, lest she fell"

"The next 15 minutes were dedicated to Khushi's questions and Anjali's answers. Khushi asked question on each and every article in the doll house and Anjali patiently and proudly answered them all"

Khushi looked upset as she asked these questions"

That is me!! My nieces come running behind me to give tissies 😆😆😆 And I run run run and run and go to my mother complaining and she 🤣 😡

"What did you say?" Ratna's eyes turned moist as she drew Khushi in her arms, perching her on her lap"

"Tilting her head to the right and showing of all her milk teeth, Khushi repeated "Badi Ma"

"Haaye, meri bachchi" saying this, Ratna too started kissing Khushi all over her face, irritating her"

"I became a mother all over again, without the pain and the potty" Ratna kissed her some more but stopped and started laughing when Khushi said"

"Sab meto dilli tissie tarte satate hai!" (Everyone troubles me by giving me moist kisses) Khushi got off Ratna's lap moving towards Arnav - the only person who hadn't troubled her yet. Arnav stopped pretending to read anymore as she came to a stop before him, staring at him"

"What?" he asked after a few seconds as he looked at the tiny creature before him dressed in a bright orange frock looking like a cluster of marigold flowers"

"Khushi, do you want Chote's ball? Big ball?" Anjali asked with a sly look on her face. They had fought sometime back over his football - she wanted to play with it and he refused to give it to her"

"Arnav, get it for her, right now!" Ratna continued to look lovingly at Khushi, while she commanded Arnav in a strict tone"

"Arnav looked between his mother, his sister and Khushi, feeling trapped between three women"

"Anjali gave him I-got-you-look' while his mother gave him I-will-get-you-look' and Khushi looked at him with a I-desperately-want-it-look"

"He gave up finally and got up to bring his dear football for her"

"Khushi got very excited the moment she saw his football and snatched it from him right away. But she dropped it immediately saying "Yeh danda hai" (Yeh ganda hai) (This is dirty)"

"So, you don't want it?" Arnav asked, slowly extending his hands to take it from her"

"Khushi, do you want Chote to wash the ball and give it to you?" Anjali was looking steadily at Arnav, while twirling her hair around her index finger"

"Thote, dhote do" (Chote, dhoke do) (Chote, wash and give it to me) Khushi started jumping around him as she threw the ball at him. He looked at his mother with hopeful eyes who nodded at him in understanding"

"Khushi..." Ratna picked her up in her arms and started walking away from Arnav and Anjali as she gently and lovingly spoke to her "...do you want to play on the swing?"

"Haan" Khushi's big eyes got bright at the prospect of sitting on the swing. Ratna looked back once at Anjali and Arnav, mouthing Enough' and saw both her children scuttling to their rooms, collecting their toys with them..."

This is so cuteee!!! 😳

"Can I kiss you again?" Ratna requested and Khushi responded by saying "Sutti tissie tarna" (Sukhi kissie karna) (Give me a dry kiss)

Aweee!!!! I wish I remember when people tiss me 😆😛

"Muah..."Now give one dry kissie to your Badi Ma" Ratna offered her cheek to Khushi, who instead of kissing her, rubbed her cheek against Ratna's making her laugh"

Husna, ma second niece, she does this when she was 2 years 😆

"Arnav stood observing the duo from his room window and started smiling as he saw Khushi laugh when the swing went higher and higher..."

Is he in Love with her even then? 😲 Won't it be weird to love a three year old? BTW, is she three? 😛
