CHAPTER 8

I didn't get a chance to interact with you honey.But i heard that you are really sweet and a dear one to all

"Who is Alisha?" I shot back.I am so very tired of his never ending questions.

"That's not the issue", he snapped.

"Oh great,because it concerns your personal life", I concluded sarcastically.

"Just answer my question", he cried.

"I don't have to.You are no one to me", I argued.

"Sanyukta,are you suffering from Bipolar Disorder?" he blurted.

I froze,my eyes brimmed with tears.Why does every one has to dig into my life."Back off", I snapped.

"Let me help you", he came forward.

"You are really going to get hurt now", I warned.

"Try me", he muttered.His voice has a hint of sarcasm.I am not going to leave him.

I tried to punch him in the face but he dodged it."Nice try", he nodded.God,does he think this is funny.This guy is changing me into a tomato gradually.I landed another punch in the little gap which did make him stumble a little.I kicked him in his tummy and he fell down."Easy", he exclaimed.He got to his feet and I waited for his attack but it never came."I don't need your pity", I scowled and tried kicking him once again but he moved aside.I gave him a sharp blow in his jaw.Yes!That's what I wanted.He is hurt.I continuously landed numerous blows some of which he avoided smartly.After a few more blows I could see his lip bleeding,his arm was ruptured and there was a cut on his eyebrow.Seriously?That's what I did to him?I mean that's all?I practically beat the heck out of him but there he is with just a scratch on his arm and a cut on his lip.Man,I must say he is real smart and real fast.

I stopped and kneeled on the ground."You never mentioned you are a boxer", he said.

I sighed."you know nothing about me", I mocked.

"That's not true.I know a lot about you", he widened his eyes.

"Uh huh?So tell me,do I like pink?Do I like dolls?Do I like Canada?Do I like India?Do I like my room?Do I like FITE?Tell me", I realized I almost yelled at him which I really didn't plan on doing.

"Sanyukta,you don't even give a damn about them.In fact you don't give a damn about your life too", he said.My jaw fell open,he does know a lot about me.I quietly got up and walked away.

I am afraid what else he might know about me.No matter how much I try to distance myself from him he always follows me like a puppy.May be he is really trying to help me,may be I am being too hard on him.His smile flashed in my mind at once.A pleasant feeling settled over me at once.I strode towards my room and opened it.I found Kaustuki on her bed blushing hard at her mobile.She looked up and smiled at me.She kind of looked embarrassed.What's wrong with her?I went to bed without uttering a single word.

"Sanyukta,wake up", I could feel some one's hand on my arm.I opened my eyes drowsily and found Arpita smiling at me radiantly.I shot up straight in my bed.

"Hurry up,you are getting late", she handed over my towel to me.I ran into the washroom and took a shower quickly.Within 20 minutes Kaustuki and I were heading towards our classroom.As I entered Randhir greeted me with one of his breath taking smiles.Oh my god,this guy's making me restless.He is in a brown formal shirt today.I took my seat beside Kaustuki who in turn sat beside Karan.Randhir stood up and made his way towards us."Sanyukta move aside", he said.I did as he said and he sat beside me.

"Let me see how good you are at studying!" he joked.I smiled to which he gasped."Sanyukta,did you smile at me now?" he asked his hands were on his chest as if he was about to die of a cardiac arrest.I pushed him back suppressing my smile.He laughed too and snatched the book in my hand.

"Trying to beat the topper huh?" he said pointing to himself.I pretended like I was choking."Who is the topper exactly?" I mocked."Shut up,I am the one,sorry rank no. one", he cried.I hooted."Look who is here.Topper Randhir Shekhawat", I teased.By then the professor entered the classroom and started lecturing us about world's top class engines etc etc.I still can't believe that this guy's a rank one!

At lunch everyone assembled at the regular spot.Arpita looked irritated."What happened?Still angry that your boyfriend didn't show up?" Kaustuki joked.

What? Parth never came to FITE yesterday.Then who was it she was practically making out with?"Hey,Kaustuki.You know what,our photography sessions are going to start tomorrow", said Randhir who just came into the cafeteria.I rolled my eyes.Why is this guy so obsessed with it?Just then Karan's phone beeped.He checked it and an evil smile was playing on his lips."Guys,look who is throwing a party", he showed the text to everyone and all of them started laughing but Randhir,he was beyond annoyed.Why?Because Ritu's throwing a party?Funny!

Kaustuki forced me to come to the party but I said I need to go out and get some things.So she left for the party but Arpita no trace of her since evening.Who was she with last night then?I went out taking my wallet.I walked to the main gate and was about to take the outing pass when someone called me.I turned around and found Randhir running towards me.

"Sanyukta.please take me with you.If not that pet of mine is going to eat me alive for dinner", he was panting heavily.I couldn't help but laugh.

"So,the great Randhir Shekhawat is trying to escape a girl?" I teased as I took another pass for him too.There is no harm in letting him come with me.Especially because I decided not to be too rude to him.We came out of the campus.

"So,where did you want to go?" he asked.I shrugged."No where,just wanted to roam in the city", I said.

"Okay then,come with me", he grabbed my hand and called a taxi.We got into it and he gave some directions to the driver.After 30 minutes we stopped in front a gated community.

Brinam wood' it read.The area was surrounded by hills and woods too.What did he get me into!

"Come one", he was already out of the car and held a hand out to me.I took it and stepped out of the car."What's this place?" I asked."Some where which brings me peace", he said in a calm voice.I smiled and he walked me to the main entrance.
