NOTE

Hello Readers,

I have been delaying writing this note because quite honestly, I'm so embarrassed about the delay in posting the next chapter. One of my main goals after I posted my little questionnaire a while back was to post a minimum of one, if not two, chapters each week. Unfortunately, work demands as well as asli duniya realities did not let that happen, and then to make it worse, I left for vacation for 10 days without any access to a computer.

I was fully prepared to go on a writing spree after my return. Unfortunately, my asli duniya took a turn for the worse since my return. Someone very close to me was going through a very difficult time, making me give up my free time to help her out. And if that was not bad enough, someone else VERY close to me was admitted to the hospital, a stay that will last a minimum of two to three months (it's non-life threatening, but hospital stay nonetheless). This means that all the free time that I used to have after work hours is completely gone now. I literally go to work every morning at around 7:45 am, come back home in the evening for a short period of time and then head out to the hospital, coming back home after 11 pm at the earliest every night. Needless to say, I'm literally exhausted and have not been able to sit down with my laptop and actually type out anything. I'm not trying to make excuses for not being to update regularly, this is just the reality of my asli duniya at this moment.

Because of all this madness, I just can't tell any of you when I will be able to update next. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience - I literally feel horrible for writing this note right now, but feel just as bad about keeping you all out of the loop for so long.

From now on, I hope to use any free time that I find to continue writing Outside the Lines. The only downside is that I have literally not gotten that free time in the last couple of weeks!! Regardless of the delay, please rest assured that I will NOT discontinue this story - I intend to finish it the way that I have planned in my head since the very beginning.

In conclusion, I guess this story is on hold (I hate saying this!) until I get some time to write; a date I can't even estimate.

Once again, I apologize for the delay and the inconvenience. I also want to thank all of you that read this story and those that have continued to support it since its inception!

P.S. For those of you wondering why you still see me somewhat active on IF throughout the day, I can only say that I take short breaks during work hours or when I return home in the evenings- I too need a mental break and IF provides that for me. Unfortunately, these short breaks are not long enough to type out full-length chapters; they are only long enough for me to read an update or two. Even with that, I'm literally behind on every single story I follow.

Also, for those who follow Dire Consequences and wonder how I was able to write the epilogue to that and not write more OTL, I just want to reassure you all that I had written most of that epilogue before I left for vacation and only had to make a few edits to that before I posted yesterday.

In the meantime, I invite all of you to read some of my previous works if you haven't done so already. These are all completed, so there will be no waiting 😊
