Mr. And Mrs. Shekhawat
~Chapter One~
''Sadu akdu egoistic MCP'', Sanyukta fumed as she paced around the house.
''It's the third year and he still hasn't wished me on our anniversary. Subah se ghar pe hai phirbhi. Arghhh. Iska mai kya karu!'' she threw her hands up in frustration. ''Never can he wish me first. Humesha mujhe hi karna padhta hai. Har baat mein apne Mount Kilimanjaaro sized ego ko beech mein laa deta hai. Par mai bhi kisi se kum kaha? Yeh ziddi hai toh mai usse bhi zyaada ziddi hu!'', she thought with an evil grin. She had the perfect plan to make him surrender today.
Randhir was sitting in their room all dressed up, waiting for sanyukta to come and wish him so that they can go out and celebrate. He was engrossed in the file which he was working on when she entered.
Sanyukta walked into the room and straight away went inside the washroom. When she came out she was clad in a blue and pink saree which had an intricate silver work design on it. Randhirs jaw dropped wide open, seeing the sight before him. He was just left ogling at her while sanyukta moved towards the mirror.
She began with adorning matching accessories to the saree, wearing a very light pendant with matching earrings. She then applied make up which was very minimal. With every thing she did randhir got even more impatient. At last when she curled her hair and put that wretched clip onto it he lost his patience.
He walked upto her pinning her to the wall.
The brown orbs met the hazel ones and they were lost in each other.
''I'', he whispered huskily.
''You'', she whispered back eagerly.
''I...
Hate..
This
Clip'' Ranhir said, pulling the clip out of her hair and throwing it in the dustbin.
''Log yeh stupid clips banate hi kyun hai.'' He said as he began to walk away.
But it was Sanyukta's turn to pull him and pin him to the wall.
''Randhir singh shekhawat I swear if you don't wish me right now I don't know what I'll do.'' She spoke in a raised, impatient voice.
Randhir looked at her from top to bottom. He slid his hand across her waist, dragging her forward, making her crash onto him. He bent forward and whispered into her ears.
''Happy anniversary Mrs.shekhawat.'' he said purposefully stressing on the shekhawat to irritate her.
Sanyukta stamped on his feet with hers and walked away.
Randhir smiled at her retreating form. So much had changed since they had gotten married but his sanyu was still the same. He thought of their marriage day with a nostalgic mind.
*Flashback*
Kaustaki applied black mascara to Sanyukta's eyes as a finishing touch.
''There! You look all set to go now!'' she said, bubbling with excitement.
Sanyukta looked at herself in the mirror. She could hardly recognise the girl she saw there.
She saw a pretty girl, wearing a heavy, red lehenga with intricate work. Her lehenga was complimented by heavy pieces of gold jewellery, of which the small gold nose ring and the heavy white and red earrings, looked the best. Lots of compact powder, along with a soft pink shade of blush and bold kajal had been applied to her face. Dark red lipstick and black mascara gave the finishing touch.
Sanyukta shrieked in disgust!
''Kaustuki! I look like a chudail. Jeez. Itna make up?'' Sanyukta said, irritated.
''Oh come on Sanyu. Dont be silly! Randhir tumhe dekhkar behoosh ho jaaega!'' Kaustaki smiled, taunting.
''Shutup. Voh mere permission ke bina faint bhi nahi ho sakta kyunki uska dil already mere paas hai!'' Sanyukta replied, just as someone jumped inside her room, from the window.
Both the girls whirled around to see Randhir, looking all hot and handsome, dressed in a golden-beige sherwaani with red.
Kaustaki nudged Sanyukta and smiled, before leaving the room to give the couple some time alone. But not before she commented, ''Dulha dulhan ka shaadi se pehle milna manna hai. Randhir. Itni bhi kya jaldi thi? Do ghanto mein toh vaise bhi tumhaari shaadi hone vaali hai!''.
Sanyukta blushed as Randhir smiled mischieviously. He walked closer to her and slid his hands across her waist.
''You look gorgeous Farzi.'' he whispered into her ear.
Sanyukta's heart fluttered as Randhir's warm breath spread over her ear.
''Abhi bhi Farzi?'' She managed to stutter.
''Tum humesha Farzi hi rahogi. Par sirf meri Farzi. Samjhi, Ms.Drop-Dead-Gorgeous!'', Randhir spoke.
''You dont look too bad yourself Randhir. Par kya karein. Ab Zero ko itni jaldi Hero bann thodi naa sakte hai...so pretty good improvement on your side!'', Sanyukta taunted, composing herself.
''Acha? Zero se hero? Listen Ms.Shekhawat. Mai Rank no.1 hu. Saari ladkiyaa mere peeche fidaa hai. After all, Im the Hot and Handsome dream guy of every girl.'' he smirked.
''Not every girl! And Ms. Shekhawat? Im still Ms. Aggarwal. And besides. I might as well tell you now. Im gonna remain Mrs.Aggarwal, even after we get married!'' Sanyukta said, stubbornly.
''What?! No. You are a Shekhawat then. Once we are married, you're my property, my wife, my life. You are officially a Shekhawat.'' Randhir smirked.
Before Sanyukta could fight with him on the topic, there was a knock on the door and Randhir and Sanyukta both panicked as they heard Sanyu's mom's voice.
''Sanyu beta. Taiyaar hogayi? Baaraat aane vaali hai!'' her mom screamed.
''Haan maa. Mai bas aa hi rahi hu.'' she shouted, ushering Randhir out of the window.
''Jaao tum. Varna baaraat kaise aayegi, dulhe ke bina!'' she said.
''I love you Farzi. Meet you soon! At the mandap!'' he winked before leaving.
Sanyukta sat beside randhir in the mandap ready to be married to him. From the corner of her eyes she saw her parents eyes were all misty with tears of happiness. Her brother for a change looked happy as well. But that was more because of randhir who had worked his magic on her brother. Ankit practically idol worshipped randhir. She could hear her friends hoots and cheers from the other side of the mandap. Renuka sanyal her future mother in-law looked the happiest of the lot she was literally glowing with happiness. She had got her son back and now he was getting married to the girl he loved and she loved her too what more could she ask for?
At this moment though none of it mattered to sanyukta apart from the guy sitting next to her randhir singh shekhawat. Every mantar that the panditji said bought them closer bound them together in an inseperable bond forever. She couldn't believe it. Finally she was getting married to the love of her life after all those ups and downs.
Randhir tied the mangalsutra around her neck very tightly.
"so that our bond never goes loose farzi" he whispered winking at her.
And then he filled her maang with the sacred vermillion.
"And with this you are colored in my color forever farzi" he said smiling the biggest smile possible. His happiness reflecting in his smile and her eyes.
Sanyukta was overwhelmed by his words and what was happening. All their memories kept flashing before her eyes. As was about to go deeper into her reverie of thoughts panditji bought her back to reality as he asked them to stand for the phere.
"Pehle 4 phero mei ladka aage jayega" the panditji said making randhir give a smirk to sanyukta as he turned to her.
As he got up holding her hand in his randhir could see in her eyes that she was getting nostalgic and sentimental and he couldn't see his farzi this way. He thought of something to make her normal and shot at her
"See farzi I am always ahead of you no matter what and where" he whispered to her as he pulled her forward holding her hand as they started walking around the sacred fire.
It worked like magic as in a matter of seconds sanyukta was back to her Jhansi ki rani avatar shedding away all nostalgia.
"This snobbish attitude is the exact reason why I wont take your surname shekhawat. I am better off as a sweet agarwal" she shot back
"No you are not. You are goanna be a shekhawat end of discussion"
"Mrs. Sanyukta randhir singh shekhawat"
"Only if you become mr.randhir sanyukta agarwal"
"what rubbish. No way in hell that's happening."
"Then I stay a agarwal" she said proudly
"ab ladki aage aayegi aur ladka peeche" intervened the panditji. They had finished four pheres admist their bickering.
"See shekhawat no matter how ahead of me you go I always overtake you and win at the end" she said as she tried to return randhirs smirk back to him only to fail and earn a snigger from randhir.
"why do you even try mrs.shekhawat. you cant copy my smirk" he stifled some more laughter as she turned back to give him the death glare.
And with that pandit ji announced the end of the marriage rituals. Randhir singh shekhawat and sanyukta agarwal were bound to each other for eternity.
All the other rituals were a blur of scenes to both of them as they tried to get away from the crowd and be with each other. And finally as renuka led sanyukta to her new room that moment came.
-----
''SO! Mrs. Shekhawat. How do you plan to spend this long night?'' Randhir strode in, having escaped Jiggy, Parth and all his friends plans to keep him away from Sanyu for some more time.
''Its Mrs. Aggarwal, Sadu!'' Sanyukta replied distracted, as she removed her bangles.
''Hey isnt that my job?'' Randhir asked, rushing towards her and sliding the bangles of her wrist himself.
Sanyukta smiled.
''This guy is so sweet when he wants to be'' she thought.
As Randhir removed Sanyukta's heavy jwellery, she took a look at the room. The room looked beautiful. Everywhere, candles had been lit and rose peals had been scattered. The bed itself had numerous petals scattered. A path way of petals had been created from the door to the bed. A sweet scent lingered in the air.
Sanyukta drifted out of her thoughts as she felt two strong yet surprisingly warm hands, creep over her shoulder and wrap themselves around her neck.
''Randhir! Yeh tum kya kar rahe ho!'' she exclaimed.
''Vahi jo ek pati ko apni patni ke saathh karna chahiye!'' he replied, enjoying her shy state and admiring her blushing form.
He slowly removed the duppata that had been draped over her head and let her hair fall open. He loved when she kept her hair open! She looked ethereal.
"From now on you wont tie this hair ever." He ordered before he pushed her hair to one side as he began planting soft kisses on her neck. After wrecking havoc on sanyuktas senses for a while he moved his hands to her blouse and slowly started opening the dori tying her blouse.
Sanyukta held her breath as she felt Randhir's soft fingers touch her back. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach and she managed to stammer ''R..Randhir. Abhi...I mean...Mai thaki hui hu...Aaj...I mean abhi...karna zaroori hai kya?''
''Ofcourse zaroori hai! Shaadi hogayi hai humaari!'' Randhir chirped.
Sanyukta was very nervous. She kept glancing around the room as if searching for a way to escape.
''Abbe Farzi. Ofcourse zaroori hai. Poori raat yahi heavy kapde pehnke sogi kya? Ho sakta hai tum so kao par tum mere paas sogi aur mujhe aise heavy chik-mik kapdo se irritation hoti hai. Isiliye tumhaara kapde badalna zaroori hai! Jaao jaldi!'', Randhir replied, suppressing his laughter, looking at her confused face.
She sighed with relief anyhow and made a dash into the washroom.
"You know farzi if you have any problem I could always help you he shouted out to her."
Sanyukta was too shy to retort back to him because of all the recent happenings. She considered staying in the bathroom for the rest of the night. But then she missed him already she couldn't stay without him.
She changed into her night dress of a blue kurta with a white salwar and stepped into the bedroom only to find it completely dark. She slowly walked towards the bed only to hit something in between which was none other than randhir
"Hello there wifey." Randhir said as he engulfed her into a tight hug "I missed you" he whispered into her ear and planted a soft kiss on her forehead.
Randhir scooped her up into his arms and deposited her onto the bed.
"Mrs. Shekhawat I've had many sleepless nights because of you. Today its your turn" Were randhirs last words for the night.
*flashback ends*
Randhir had a huge smile to his face as he thought of their marriage day.
"I cant believe its been three years since then farzi. I didn't know being married to you would be so much fun and easy. Warna mai tumse milte hi shaadi karleta"
"Itna sab badal gaya farzi in teen salo mei but tumhara gussa ab bhi waisa hi hai and I love that about you"
"Phew randhir beta chalo ab mrs.agarwal...ooppss mrs.shekhawat ko manane" he said making his way towards his angry wife.
