PART 5. DHOOM DHADAKKA ARNAV STYLE! FINAL PART
Arnav Singh Raizada was a happy fellow right now. He had planned to not follow Khushi and his plan was turning into a success. From the time the Saat Phere ended to now, he did not seek out Khushi, he did not stalk her and he did not think of her once. So he was happy. But he was happy due to another reason too. Just right now the Bidaai had ended and soon Khushi and Arnav would go separate ways. Arnav was sure that once that happened, the attraction he felt for Khushi would go away and he could go back to his normal lifestyle. Hence, Arnav was happy and promised himself that he would make sure that he stayed away from Khushi Kumari Gupta till she went back to her town.
Of course, all promises made by Arnav to himself flew right out of the window the moment he saw Khushi sitting under a table crying her heart out. Arnav felt pain well up in his heart and he subconsciously promised bodily harm to the person who made her cry. Arnav sat down beside Khushi waiting for her to acknowledge him. After a while, Arnav offered her his kerchief which she clutched in her hand but continued to cry out.
Arnav's heart clenched at her sobs and he could not stop himself from speaking to her, "Khushi! Please calm down! Rone se kuch nahi hoga!"
Khushi glared at him and spoke between his sobs, "Aapko kaise pata hai ki rone se kuch nahi hoga? Kya pata? Humaare rone se humaara dard thoda kam ho jaaye!"
"Dard?", outwardly Arnav frowned but inwardly he was seething. Who dared to give Khushi pain? How could they! He would tear them to pieces with his bare hands. He looked at Khushi who was sniffling and crying and Arnav wondered how could someone look so cute and innocent while crying her heart out?
Khushi spoke up bringing Arnav out of his thoughts, "Haan! Dard! Humaare Jiji se alag hone ka dard! Jiji ki aaj bidaai hui na? Lekin yeh dard aap ladke waale kya jaane! Yeh dard toh sirf ladki waalon ko pata hota hai!"
Arnav rolled his eyes. That's it? That was the reason behind his crying? And here he thought something bad happened to her! He tried to tell her about his sister who he gave away just two years ago but then his mind reminded him about his promise to stay away from her. He instinctively leaned back a bit; forget it! You are done with her Arnav, remember?
Arnav tried to get up when Khushi caught his hand. And then Arnav Singh Raizada got the shock of his life. Khushi, the girl he was attracted to, the girl who he stalked, the girl with whom he loved to fight, lunged forward and hugged him tightly. KHUSHI HUGGED HIM! Arnav was stupefied. This was dream come true; Khushi in his arms. His breath hitch as he felt her body melding into him and he had to take few deep breaths to calm his heart beat down. He slowly hugged her back and relished the feeling of her in his arms. He closed his eyes and tried to savor the feeling. He tried to memorize each and every breath and move of her while he held her tightly in his arms. After a while, Khushi pulled away and wiped her tears with the kerchief he gave. Arnav was still in shock at what had happened. It took him a while to get back into the real world. Stop fantasizing you idiot! She is crying! Kuch toh sharam kar! This is not the right time to fantasize about how awesome she felt in your... Arnav! STOP FANTASIZING!
Arnav tried to get up again wanting to get away from her before he crossed his limits like hug her again or worse; kiss her.
But Khushi stopped him again with her hand and smiled at him, "Dhanyawaad!"
Arnav frowned.
Khushi continued, "Hum aapke saath subah se lad rahe hain aur aap hain ki humein dilaasa dene pahunch gaye! Dhanyawaad!"
Arnav's heart melted at her words and he smiled back.
Its fine! After all kuch der ke liye hum log jhagde ko side mein rakh sakte hain, right?" Arnav said unable to resist from teasing her.
Khushi giggled and Arnav felt as if her giggles sounded like the tinkling of bells.
"Lekin sirf aaj ke liye truce! Next time phir se ladenge!", Khushi spoke.
Arnav was surprised at her friendliness and teasing tone and let out a laugh.
He nodded, "Good idea!"
Arnav walked out of the hiding space and walked a few paces. He did not know what made him turn and say the next words but he did say it.
"Miss. I-Love-To-Fight!", he called her and she looked up.
"Next jhagde pe milenge!", he told her and was rewarded with a bright smile from her.
Arnav walked away with a smile on his face, his heart beating in happiness and his whole body abuzz with feelings of more than attraction towards Khushi. And he knew! He knew that he could not get Khushi out of his system! Whatever method he would use to remove her out of his mind and heart, she would not go! Khushi had become a part and parcel of him and his life! And surprisingly he did not mind it! He may not know what he was feeling for Khushi right now, but he knew one thing; it would be a fun journey, discovering what was between him and Khushi! After all, if nothing then atleast this journey would provide him a chance to fight with Khushi daily, right?nfact, he was ready to fight with her daily all his life.
