Smita I have been meaning to catch up with your work for quite sometime now, ever since the lovely Jyo kindly recommended it to me. One thing or the other kept me from doing so, but now that I have finally managed to read your work I am simply awestruck and let us just say inlove with your work the Arnav seriess, the Khushi series and I absolutely cannot wait to go through everything in your index. I am now smacking myself for not catching up with your stuff earlier.
Now that I have got the above out of my system, let me tell yo how much I love "Recalling Arnav", you have recalled all the incidents that many writers here conveniently forget and forgive as well ( when they are writing fiction purely based on IPK). The emotions you capture is just mindbogglingly amazing. Arnav's remorse and angst for his treatment of Khushi is just such a pleasure to read about!Redemption is a track that I have always tried to look for while some have covered it considerably well, others leave out quite a bit but you most certainly haven't left anything. You have covered incidents from the get go, from the time Arnav met Khushi, covering the way he ruined her reputation in her city, causing her to be attacked by goons, insulting her every chance he got, making her life a living hell in his office and in his home where she was forced to work in the first place, throwing her feelings back at her by getting engaged to Lavanya, showing her hell after her forced engagement, then there was ofcourse the forced marriage and everything related to it, the last one being the twist in this story and Arnav's abandoning Khushi and his child to be!I absolutely love your portrayal of both Arnav and Khushi. I am so delighted to see a Khushi that is strong, who is not going to easily forget and forgive, the Khushi who can stand up for herself and convey her emotions and every single hurt that she had felt to her husband. In turn I am also a great fan of the way you portray Arnav, he isn't that arrogant and egotistical man anymore who doesn't do guilt or show any signs of remorse. He is willing to do whatever it takes to win his Khushi back. He has apologized for his deeds and continues to apologize for every single hurt he brought upon his Khushi. This particular Fiction has been quite an emotional roller coaster ride, I must say I have even shed a few tears for Khushi here. The way she was abounded at the mandap, the way she lost her memory and her baby, the way she was broken come to think of it how does one get over everything that she has had to endure.Part 6 was just a brilliant portrayal of all the emotions, the way Arnav spoke to Khushi on the phone never giving up on her or lack of response, the way he finally acheieved his mission and got a reaction of concern out of his Khushi for him was beautiful. The gradual process and the time that is taking Arnav to finally get his Khushi on board is so wonderfully real! Looking forward to more already!Ps. I love all the beautiful pictures that are used for every single update, they always suit the situation to the T. And I can't commend you for the effort that you put into these updates! :-)
