Part 9:
After the trip both the pairs felt more closers to another than ever. It suddenly hit Randhir that him and Sanyu being by themselves for the trip wasn't just a coincidence, it was a very well thought out plan. Ofcourse ! Who else had that much confidence to pull it off apart from their very own mischief queen? Ofcourse it was Manasvi. He couldn't help but smile he needed to buy that girl a huge present. After a very productive day. The girls fell asleep. The next morning they were all excited as this was the wedding day. Manasvi quickly woke the girls and they set to the task of getting ready the South Indian way. They had all worn their half sarees like Manasvi had told them to, Sanyu's was green and pink, Kaustuki's was blue and red and Manasvi's was yellow and green. Manasvi asked her mum to braid their hair and put fresh flowers in it. (Guys just imagine, deepika in chennai express!) . After the hair they wore their appropriate jewellery, the bangles, the neck piece, the jhumkas and Ofcourse their personal favourite, the waist belt.
They slowly made it down to the hall, making sure every pleat and every strand of hair was in place. They reached their cars and were actually waiting for the boys when Manasvi's mum told her they had left earlier as they wanted to check out the place. She let them go in their respective cars to venue, but not before she kissed each one on their cheeks and told them that they look absolutely ethereal. The whole car ride was filled with songs from a famous Tamil radio station, they were playing all 90's hit songs. You could hear the girls laughs over the beats of classics like urvasi, humma humma and many other songs. Sanyu was singing the hindi words to most of those songs. They had also squeezed in a few selfies and group photos to send their parents.
After a bumpy road, and a lot of photos. They reached the lavishly decorated venue. There were fresh flowers and banana leaves and vines everywhere. It was gorgeous. They went inside to see the mandap designed in the same way. The place made use of natural light as much as they could and hence the place didn't look artificial. They boys were over with Manasvi's dad talking about the rituals when he proudly mentioned the fact that the natural light idea was hers as she didn't want to waste a lot of electricity and worry about generators and everything. The boys were shocked and proud. They were casually looking around when they spotted the girls. Their heart just jumped out of its cavity, they were staring in that general direction shamelessly. YOyo looked like he needed a bucket to control all the drool. Honestly, so did Parth and Randhir to an extent. Prakash was mid speech when he looked at the boys faces, he followed their line of sight when he found his baby girl and her friends. His instant reaction as a father was to knockout their heads, but then again if it wasn't for these moments him and Latha would have never gotten together, and his dear wifey had told him all her doubts and confirmations.
But he still did his fatherly duties and loudly cleared his throat, the guys got the signal and tried to stop their drooling. With a semi strict glare, he left them. The girls were slowly walking in the direction of the boys, they were actually looking around for their bunch clad in jeans and shirts but in reality the guys were actually dressed for the occasion in kurtas. YOyo surprisingly was the first to come to his senses and called out to the girls. This time it was their turn to be gobsmacked! The guys were looking damn fine in those kurtas. They made their way to the corner that the guys were in, no one spoke a word for a while as everyone was busy admiring someone. Randhir finally cleared his throat and said hi, the girls chorused hi back. Then finally they all snapped out of their daze and proceeded to find seats together and see the wedding. The seats weren't conventionally set, where there were just rows and rows of them, instead there were a few tables around the sides with chairs around them if people wanted to sit around and socialise. The gang picked a table and sat around it. Soon the bride came and sat next to the groom, the rituals had started, the kanyadaan, the change of saree by the bride and finally the mangalsutra. They were all given rose petals and rice and were instructed by the girls to sprinkle at the newly weds as this signifies their blessings and best wishes.
After that Manasvi quickly went to congratulate her cousin and his newly wedded wife and came back to the bunch and they proceeded to eat and explore some more. She came back to just find Yoyo and Kaustuki missing upon asking she found out that Kaustuki was upset over a phone call and YOyo took her out on a walk to talk it out. Manasvi suggested that they all go for a walk in the surrounding fields. Sanyu and Randhir were walking at the front, followed by Manasvi and Parth. Some other ladies and uncles decided to take a walk in the beautiful weather so everyone headed out.
Randhir and Sanyu were walking in very comfortable silence, when Randjir quickly complimented her saying that she looked great and finally like a girl. She punched him on his arm softly but thanked him for his compliment anyway. Soon they began talking about how beautiful the wedding was and and how plesant their surroundings were. Sanyu in her rant unknowingly said that she would absolutely love to get married here and Randhir said I don't mind. Sanyu's eyes widened at what he had said, he quickly covered up saying that he wouldn't mind either. Mentally slapping himself as they both sounded the same, he changed the topic to something else.
As soon as Randhir and Sanyu had taken off, Parth finally told her that she looked beautiful and that he was actually wanting to tell her that the whole morning. His bluntness actually made her smile and blush a little bit. Parth smiled at that they continued walking. Two people were seeing this from behind a tree, one was laughing and the other was sprouting smoke from their ears. Latha Ramachandran couldn't help but laugh at her husbands plight. Prakash was very fidgety right now, and he was babbling like crazy, a trait which their daughter seemed to inherit. It went something like " Latha? What is that boy doing? What is he saying? Did..did Manu just smile at that? What is this kid upto? I smelled something fishy about him the day i was introduced, and why is he smiling now? He can't just smile like that!! How dare he? And they are walking more? How many trees should I hide behind? Oh why did he hold her hand? I don't care if there was a rock, my daughter has eyes she can see perfectly fine! " he was still ranting when Latha finally put a stop to it. She said they weren't doing anything wrong. Also, the fact what she was a mother and wouldn't have let their daughter just walk alone with anyone unless she was sure of the type of person they were. With that Prakash calmed down. But he had to agree all the boys were extremely nice and well manned, they didn't have a demeaning bone in their body. But then again it was his daughter and her friends. Who were sooo nice and sweet, they might as well be his daughters.
It was getting slightly dark and they all headed back to the house after a long day, but for the first time in a week they were all slightly sad coming back to the house. They'd were going to go back tomorrow. They were truly going to miss this place. With that they went to their respective rooms to pack so that they can explore a little more tomorrow and not rush everything in the last minute.
