That's why I hate words! They cheat, they betray us. I can't formulate a reply for what you've written, I can't. Let me try anyways.
The definition of family in textbook needs an amendment- connected by blood, dining in the same kitchen and everything which I studied in the past, as a child, blurs itself in the present time. Family, for me, are the aunties (helpers) of my school with whom I talk profound as well as nonsense while waiting for the bus, my family includes Bhimsen Dai ('Dai' means brother) who works in the canteen and whom I greet with 'Namaste' everyday, my family includes the conductors in micro buses whom I see almost every day while travelling and who smile every time they see me, my family includes my online friends whom I've never met but are the integral part of my life- thus, I conclude that family is never conventional. It's a feeling of belonging. It's the familiar faces you interact with every day, the people without whom your life wouldn't be complete. Everyone is a family. Family is never a cohort of mother, father, siblings or grandparents only. It's so much more.
It's the absurdity of time. You see- we humans are the most reckless creatures on the earth! We are slaves- slaves of carnality, slaves of artificiality and slaves of our own discoveries. When we have stopped recognizing our own creed - how can we have a better future, how can we think we are the wisest, how can we assure that we would even 'exist' in a few years to come. If we walk along this way, it would take no longer time to diminish our ascendancy, in fact our subsistence.
I won't say thanks, not yet at least. Maybe one day when we walk out of this establishment handing over the keys to someone else, we will share a cup of tea at the tiny shop around the corner. I wont be the CEO and you wont be the VP of operations. Just people who have no where else to be.
Ain't this a consumed life already? Strive for 'that' thing whole life, abandon it one day and return to the place where you started.
And about you- Meera told it all !
"What would you say if someone comes to you and asks what death would feel like?" He raised a question and asked for a reply.
It needed no thought. I replied almost instantly. "I'll tell them straightaway that death would feel like a life with regrets."
"How do you say?" his grey blue eyes looked at me questioningly.
"Because I feel it- I feel death when I have regrets." I submitted.
"An urge to disappear, right?" He said after a moment of his own contemplation.
I smiled. He understood.

Edited. Because there is nothing I can do but this:Who are you and what is this maze?A poet in a gray pin-striped suitOr a hard-nosed suit with a faraway gazeWhat brain beats in that chest, what heart between your eyes? The answer to life or just another surpriseWhat shall I say that makes some senseWhen I can't even claim to know grammar, language and tense?

It is strange that you wrote about fallen leaves. I was just looking at this photograph I took a few months ago, of a fallen leaf, what else, and wanted to do something with it. And then here comes this. Like I said, strange.Khushi offers to be Arnav's personal Atlas. Or she thinks she can be it, whatever. All with a manic look in her eyes. If I were any good at sketching, I would attempt to draw that arresting image. Slender shoulders voluntarily carrying the weight of someone else's world, all with this (anxious/bored/manic ???) glint in her eyes.I don't know if that was your intention, but the first few, "over-prettified" lines were very amusing to me. Dear authoress, are you sitting in front of your computer screen and smirking at all of us while pulling some meta-shit? If it is so, I love you even more. 😆I too am the ordinary person who cannot write poetry in spite of all these "feelings". I so need a surly-looking Raizada to pass notes to in office.
