Sorry before hand as this chapter is very tragic, but was very important to build upon the character i wanted for Kria. All i can hope is this pays off in the long run. Here is the chapter 2 of the ff. keep reviewing the ff as it helps.



CHAPTER 2

Little did they know she was already burning in hell and soon there other wish was going to come true as well.

2 months after they received the letter

Smriti: (thinking and writing in her diary)...I want my daughter the way she was. I can't see her so depressed. She may try to hide it but anyone who knows her can tell she is dying from inside. I have made the biggest mistake I could have and I wish I could completely undo it which I know is impossible. But I will definitely try to correct it. Three days from now on her birthday I will give her my permission to follow her dreams and take her to New York so she can pursue her dream. I only hope she lives her life to the fullest. This is my only wish. I wish she lives her life, lives her dreams. For me this is worth more than my life. God please fulfill this dream for me.

Little she knew her life was coming to an end and as of near future only misery and hardships were written in her daughter's life. Something no parent would ever want their children would have to face.

NEXT DAY

While roaming with the lifeless body, she (Kriya) saw a guy trying to force him upon a girl in front of a bunch of cowardly people as he was some local gunda so no one tried to stop him.

On seeing this Kriya went and slapped the guy hard and luckily (for now) police also arrived and the guy was arrested but only to be freed by the nightfall. Little she knew her noble act would eventually be a cause of misery for her and her mother.

Two days later on her birthday while the daughter and mother were coming back from a restaurant and just before her mother had given her the consent to chase her dreams. They were kidnapped by the goon on gunpoint and no one standing there could do a thing. They were taken to an abandoned house at the outskirts of Dehradun. Meantime police stared the search for both of them but with no success. At the house she and Smriti were tied facing each other. Smriti had a cloth tied on her mouth so she could not speak anything just watch and then the long torture started. Kria was told every time she cried due to pain her mother would get hurt. He not just wanted to torture the girl physically but mentally. He was not ready to accept that a girl slapped him. All he cared was to fulfill his devilish desire. Then he started by hitting her with the belt. Each time she cried of pain the other goon would either hit her mother or cut her skin with a knife. Once she stopped crying with each blow of the belt he started the same thing with the knife. She would again cry with pain as blood gushed out of her skin and this would lead to her mother getting hurt. After a while when she somehow learnt to suppress her voice for her mother's safety, the torture became even more vigorous. The beating she received was so gruesome that she would eventually end up fainting. This carried on for 4 days and Kria was severely injured. On the 5^th day the goon whispered in her ear that the next time she cries her mother would be shot to death. Then the beating and the torture which possibly no one could endure stated. After a while he took out a gun and shot Kria's arm which forced a squeal out of her. As soon as she squealed the goon smirked and went towards Smriti took of the cloth that was on her mouth and told her to utter her last words. On seeing this Kria started crying badly, weeping, pleading to let her mother go but those fell on deaf ears.

The last conversation between Kria and Smriti

Smriti: beta please don't cry, please it's not your fault. Please escape from here and live your life. If possible forgive me for what I did and dance all you want. Just promise me you would not give up your life till it is snatched and be as brave as possible and always move on in your life mot looking back at the painful memories. Consider it my last wish that you have to escape and live for both of us. I lo..(Gunshot)

Kria: (Crying) No mamma please you can't leave me here all alone. Please you just can't. Please Please Please.

Then the goon turned towards Kria and tried forcing himself upon her. But before he could do anything they heard police sirens and soon a sequence of gunshots were fired resulting in the death of all the goons present there, though 2 of the police officers were also injured. Both Kria and her mother were rushed to the hospital. This soon became a nationwide story which everyone was covering and was watched by almost everyone. Though the identity of the victims was never revealed nor was the hospital which was treating them. This was due to the request of Kria just before she fainted.

As they reached the hospital Smriti was declared dead and Kria was in a very bad condition. She had multiple fractures, there were deep cuts all over her body, with blood gushing out and several of the cuts were showing signs of infection and the most important at the moment was to look upon the gunshot wound on her right arm. She had already lost a lot of blood and her condition was critical, no doctor could tell whether she will be able to survive and if she does will she ever be able to recover completely. The news was out about an incident that happened in Dehradun and how a mother and daughter were kidnapped and then tortured for 5 days before police was able to rescue them. This has caused a stir in the entire country and soon everyone was inquiring about the victims but as no one personally knew the victim and there was no photos or videos of the kidnapping, plus efforts by the police and the hospital had helped in keeping the identity of the two a secret. Media was only told that an 18 year old girl and her mother were tortured and the mother was no more due to the gunshot and the girl herself was shot and tortured and was in a critical situation and was fighting for her life. They were given the photographs of the place where they were tortured and the blood all over and the room's condition gave an idea of how bad the situation had been.

On the other side in Mumbai the gang seeing the news somewhere deep were worried and hoped it should not be Kria as they knew she was from a Dehradun and had only her mother, plus she was of the same age as the girl was but outside they showed like they didn't care if the girl was Kria. Everyone secretively followed the entire media coverage just praying it should not be her as the feelings they had were very much real and how much they hated her but still had a sweet corner for her at least in just two months they can't just remove her from their heart. They would need time for that.

Its really heartwrenching to read !!

Only when I read about Kriya's recovery will I feel at peace!
