Chapter 3

Sharon: And 5..6..7.. go..

Sharon was teaching the early morning batch.. It had been just 2 days since she started working but she was thoroughly enjoying it and didn't mind teaching dance throughout the day.. Last 5 minutes left so she just got her students who were all working ladies to dance one last time..

After 10 minutes all the student were sitting on the chair and some on the floor and panting while some were drinking water.. Sharon was busy choreographing as she had another private dance session in the next 15-20 minutes.. Just then she heard all the ladies greeting someone.. She looked through the mirror and saw Kriya talking to some of them..

Kriya: Good Morning Shar..

Sharon (still working): Morning..

Kriya: Aare come here.. 5 minutes won't do you any harm..

1 of the Ladies: I know Sharon.. God! Tum main itni energy aati kahan se hai?!

Sharon (turning back and smiling): Jab kaam main maza aaye toh you never feel tired.. Hai na?!

They had a small chat for a few moments and then all of them left.. Kriya sat on the chair while reading some papers.. While Sharon continued with her work..

Kriya: Oh by the way Shar.. Woh jo ladki aane wali thi she'll be a bit late..

Sharon: Ok.. No problem waise bhi choreography almost ho hi gayi hai..

Kriya (working): Not bad Ms.Rai Prakash.. I'm impressed.. I guess I'll have to promote you quite soon..

Sharon: Oh Pha-lease.. Don't.. Boss ho act like one..

Kriya: Ok Fine! By the Swayam ka message aaya hai..

Sharon (confused): Itni subha? Woh uth gaya?

Kriya: And why would you say so?

Sharon: Nahi I thought he would sleep till late.. Woh kal raat..

Kriya (cutting her, suspiciously): Kal raat?

Sharon: Nothing last night hum terrace pe kuch jyada hi late tak the.. Iss liye..

Kriya smirked and walked toward where Sharon was standing..

Kriya (teasing): Aur terrace pe late tak chal kya raha tha?

Sharon (coolly): Kuch nahi as usual his bakwaas.. And..

Kriya (grinning): And??

Sharon (raising an eyebrow): Ho gaya?! We were just having some good ice-cream and that's it..

Kriya (disappointed): Bas? Itna hi?

Sharon: Haan.. Aur kya hona chahiye?

Sharon walked to the table and started fiddling with the laptop trying to search for some song.. Kriya looked at her letting out a huge sigh and thought of talking to her..

Kriya: Shar..

Sharon (working): Hmm..

Kriya: Swayam is quite a good guy na?!

Sharon (still working): What's wrong with your eyes?? Doctor se check karwana padega.. Uss monkey main kya good dikha??

Kriya (a bit seriously): Shar.. Seriously..

Sharon (looking at her and smiling): Ok.. Ok fine.. Yeah.. Swayam is a great guy..

Kriya: Aur?

Sharon: Aur kya?! Accha ladka hai.. Dikhne main bhi kaafi handsome hai.. Charming personality bhi hai.. (walking passed Kriya) Bahut caring hai.. Sensitive hai.. Emotional hai.. You know there is this small kid in him.. Jo bahut masti karta hai.. Irritate bhi karta hai but he makes up for it.. He is very calm.. Jaldi ghussa toh nahi aata but jab aata hai toh its better to stay away *giggles* Respects his parents specially his dad.. I always tell him ki talk to your dad ki tumhe Office main kaam nahi karna and you have a dream of opening up your own chain of restraunts toh he says he can fulfil his dream once he earns the money.. Sabki care karte karte khud ke bare main bhool jaata hai.. Innocent hai iss liye kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki koi uske innocence ka fyda na utha le.. He thinks he is very smart in masking up his feeling but you know his eyes speak volumes.. He is just the perfect guy for any girl.. He is a jewel..

Sharon seemed to be lost while talking about Swayam.. Kriya was smiling all throughout looking at the smile dancing on Sharon's face.. She was very much aware of Sharon's feeling for Swayam but it was just for Sharon to realise it herself.. More than Sharon's words Kriya's attention was on her expressions.. She didn't have even a percent doubt left in her mind.. She cleared her throat to get her sister-in-law's attention.. Sharon felt as if she just jerked out of a dream.. She looked around and found a smirking Kriya looking at her.. She didn't know what was happening and she avoided looking into Kriya's eyes..

Kriya (teasingly): You were actually praising Swayam?! Hmm.. Kya baat hai!

Sharon (stammering): Aaa...mm.. woh.. He messaged you na?.. What's the..

She was cut when she heard her phone ring.. Kriya turned to look at the table as Sharon's phone was there.. She looked at Sharon with a huge smile on her face..

Sharon (confused): Kaun hai?

Kriya: Telepathy I must say

Sharon (walking to her): Swayam?!

Kriya (nodding): Aahaan!

Sharon looked at the caller id and don't know why she smiled wider..

Sharon: Hey!

Swayam (confused): Are you ok?

Sharon (frowning): Yeah.. But kyun pucha?

Swayam: Nahi woh itne pyaar se Hey' bola toh laga you are not well *chuckles*

Sharon (sarcastically): Ha ha! Funny! Yeh bakwaas karne ke liye phone kiya..

Swayam: Haan! Now that's more like Sharom Rai Prakash.. And hello bakwaas karne ka time nahi hai mere paas.. Just called you to ask Have you had breakfast?

Sharon (confused): Haan.. But..

Swayam (cutting her): And Kriya?

Sharon (to Kriya): You had breakfast?

Kriya: Yup!

Swayam: Ok.. I'll be there in 10..

Sharon: But why?

Swayam (face palmed): Because I'm missing you so much.. Main jyada der tumse door nahi reh sakta..

Sharon (shocked): WHAT! Really?!

Swayam (irritated): Argh! What's wrong with you? Subh subh mera hi dimag mila khaane ke liye..

Sharon (innocently): Par tum chilla kyun rahe ho?

Swayam (irritated): Tum baat hi aise kar rahi ho..

Sharon (pouting): Ab maine kya kiya?!

Swayam chuckled thinking about how cute she must be looking at the moment.. Sometimes when Sharon isn't attentive while talking she could never catch when a person is joking and when are they serious.. But he always adored this about her..

Swayam: Kuch nahi.. I was just saying I'm on my way to the Office toh tum dono ke liye breakfast drop kar dunga jaate jaate..

Sharon: Ohhh! Like that! Tum bhi na ek number ke Monkey ho.. Pehle nahi bol sakte the..

Swayam (mumbling): Haan iss main bhi Monkey main hi hoon.. Anyways see you soon ok?!

Sharon: Yup.. See ya..

As soon as Sharon kept the phone she turned to Kriya who was now fiddling with the music system..

Kriya: Kya hua?

Sharon (keeping her phone aside): Kuch nahi Swayam office jaate jaate breakfast drop off kar raha hai..

Kriya (turning to Sharon): Aare wah! Bada pyaar aa raha hai..

Sharon (winking): Haan woh toh hai.. Anyways lets get to work..

Kriya and Sharon got busy with their work and soon after 10-15 minutes there suddenly appeared Swayam with a parcel and 2 coffee's in his hand.. He kept it on the table while Kriya stopped the music as soon as she saw him..

Kriya: Good Morning Mr.Shekhawat..

Swayam (smiling): Morning to you too..

Kriya (walking to him): Kya baat hai aaj breakfast and all?!

Swayam: Kya kare aapki yeh jo nanand hai usne free main mujhe apna PA appoint kar diya hai toh Madam ka dhyaan toh rakhna hi hoga..

Kriya (giggles): I must say kaafi efficient ho..

Sharon on the other hand had not heard their conversation as she was struggling with a few steps.. Swayam saw this and nodded helplessly.. He handed over a coffee cup to Kriya and walked to Sharon.. Here Sharon had not even noticed him coming towards her and she was looking down concentrating on something.. Swayam walked to her and stood right behind her.. He was observing her frown and the red sweaty face through the mirror.. He smiled but it wasn't a normal one.. This smile was more out of adornment.. He stood there staring at her for a few minutes while her head was yet down.. Kriya on the other hand was sitting on her chair smirking looking at both these idiots from a distance.. A smile spread over Sharon face and she looked up as she had finally solved the problem she was facing.. As soon as she looked up she was startled and almost jumped a few inches as she saw Swayam standing right behind her.. Whereas as Swayam covered up with a smirking and dancing eyebrows..

Sharon (with a hand on her heart): Are you crazy! You scared me Swayam!

Swayam (acting as if thinking): As far as my knowledge goes chudail insaano se kab darne lag gayi..

And the next moment Sharon was throwing draggers at Swayam while he and Kriya both burst out laughing not only at the comment but also Sharon's expression.. It felt as if she would blow up any second.. Swayam was controlling his laughter and stepping backwards as Sharon's actions were quite predictable according to him.. And he was right Sharon tried to catch him but he was fast and dodged her grip.. No soon they were running and dodging in the studio while Kriya continued sipping her coffee with her laughs and giggles that came out with each swear word that escaped Sharon's mouth.. Sharon stopped as she knew Swayam was very good at dodging her so sat on the chair opposite to Kriya with a swollen angry face.. He burst into another fit of laughter looking at her while she chose to take the coffee and distract her mind from that Monkey..

No soon Swayam had left yet giggling and receiving death glares from Sharon.. Both Kriya and Sharon got busy with their work and so did Swayam.. They again met up in the evening to discuss about the party they were organising and Sharon was yet pissed at Swayam.. And he instead of lightening up the mood again started pulling her leg and that irritated her even more.. She decided that now she wouldn't talk to him.. Days passed and their tom and jerry game continued.. But the only difference that Swayam and Kriya noticed was that Sharon would get irritated at small small things very soon.. Swayam was confused but Kriya very well knew the reason behind Sharon's this behaviour.. On the other hand Sharon was facing hell.. She had never been so confused about herself.. And the thing that irritated her even more was that her best friend was the reason behind her confusion.. She wasn't understanding what was exactly happening to her.. She felt that she had gone mad.. None of her questions were being answered.. She didn't even know if Kriya would understand what was happening to her so she chose to just keep it to herself for now.. But she was sure that her sleepless night and losing out on her thoughts wasn't normal.. There was something wrong with her..

It was the day when they had planned to go on the outskirts of the city for their party.. Sharon and Kriya had planned everything while Swayam too had helped them out.. Kriya had insisted Swayam to take his bike and she instructed him to ask Sharon only once.. Swayam was a bit confused but then getting the wait and watch' signal from Kriya he did as she said.. Sharon was talking to some of their friends when he came and tapped her shoulder from the back..

Swayam: Bike le raha hu.. Want to hop on?

Sharon (attitude): In your dreams..

Swayam (shrugging his shoulders): Fine! (to all) Anyone who want to come on the bike?

Kamya (almost jumping): Me! me!

Kamya was Sharon's student.. She had joined the classes a while back and was on good terms with Kriya and Sharon.. But Sharon loathed her sugary tone and creepy behaviour as she says it.. And to top it all Kamya had a huge crush on Swayam and was all over him at parties or anytime her visited the studio which was quite often.. And everyone knew about it.. Sharon was always the one saving Swayam from Kamya as he would always get embarrassed with her flirty compliments or comments.. Sharon looked at Kamya with a disgusted expression as she sat behind Swayam and she got mad at him as he was completely ok with that girl sitting right behind him.. Sharon stomped her feet and sat in the car but her eyes were continuously travelling back to the duo on the bike.. He was smiling and she was actually blushing when he spoke to her or complimented her.. All this was being noticed by Kriya who made it a point to sit with Sharon or else she would have roasted someone to death in her irritation and anger.. Actually Jealousy..

The first half of the drive went on the same way.. Swayam had noticed Sharon's expressions, behaviour and jealousy ever since they had started the drive.. Though he was a bit uncomfortable but he was loving the reaction he was getting from her and now he had also understood what was Kriya actually trying to do.. So he got a bit comfortable in talking to Kamya and at the same time was eyeing Sharon.. They had stopped half way as they had to pick up some stuff before they reach the place.. There he got down from the bike and was talking to Kamya and Sharon was staring at them with wide eyes.. Kriya nudged her to get her attention and Sharon acted as if she wasn't noticing him..

Kriya (looking at Swayama n Kamya): Tera' Monkey kuch jyada nahi udh raha aaj?

Sharon (confused): Mera' Monkey?

Kriya (matter of factly): Haan.. Swayam..

Sharon (attitude): Oh Hello! Woh koi Mera Monkey nahi hai..

Kriya (with a raised eyebrow): Accha!.. Waise aaj kuch jyada hi Kamya se chipak raha hai.. I guess he is interested..

Sharon (a bit irritated): What rubbish! Woh Kamya Swayam se chipak rahi hai woh Bandar toh uss main interested bhi nahi hai.. Woh toh.. woh abhi.. aise hi uske saath.. You know..

Kriya (acting unknown): I know what?

Sharon: You know.. Healthy flirting and all.. Swayam toh

Swayam (cutting her): Hey!

Sharon was cut as Swayam came and stood by the window.. She looked at him but turned her face to Kriya as if oblivious to his presence.. Swayam looked at her with questioning eyes but then immediately a smirk appeared on his lips.. But he too turned to Kriya ignoring Sharon..

Swayam: So how is the drive so far?

Kriya (eyeing Sharon): Quite good bus garmi kuch jyada ho rahi hai yahan..

Swayam (smirking): Aare toh AC chalu rakh dete..

Kriya: Yeh garmi kuch jyada hi garam hai..

Kriya and Swayam share a giggle while Sharon glares at Kriya telling her to shut up..

Kriya: Waise what happened? Kamya ne chod kaise diya?

Swayam: Woh bichari actually thak gayi thi bike pe baith baith ke toh socha kisi aur ko apne piche bitha loon..

Sharon (under her breath): Haan haan Miss.Delicate Barbie Doll..

Swayam: Sorry.. Tum ne kuch kahan?

Sharon (fumbling): Main.. Main kuch kyun kehne lagi..

Swayam: Waise Siren.. Bike pe aana hai.. Lets hit the road.. What say?!

Sharon (attitude): Huh! In your dreams.. Bike pe aur woh bhi tum jaise monkey ke saath..

Swayam (smirking): Soch le.. I won't ask again..

Sharon: Whatever.. (turning to Kriya) Huh! Woh Ms. Kamya nahi aa rahi hai iss liye aa gaya yahan muh maarne.. Replacement samjh rakha hai kya?!

Sharon didn't get a second more as she was pulled back into her seat by a muscular arm.. She was startled and didn't know what just happened.. The very next second she could feel his hot breath on her face and his blazing eyes piercing into hers.. He kept looking at her with the intense gaze while she melted under his touch.. He inched closer and her breath got stuck in her throat.. His silky soft hair started tickling her on her forehead.. She heart was thumping in her chest and her eyes were stil wide open in shock..

Swayam (huskily, smirking): Jealous?

Sharon (stammering, trying to find her voice): Wh.. What.. Rub.. bish..

Swayam (softly): Don't be.. Mere liye sirf ek hi Sharon hai.. Aur humesha rahegi..

Sharon: Huh?

Swayam (huskily): Bike pe chalogi?

Sharon (still lost): Huh..

Swayam (moving closer): Bike.. You.. Me.. Ride..

Sharon: H..aa..n

Swayam (smirking): I'm waiting..

Swayam immediately left her and moved to his bike with a victory smile playing on his face.. Here Sharon was still trying to understand what just happened.. The closeness was yet seeping into her and she felt butterflies fluttering their wings inside her stomach.. Her cheeks felt hotter while she was yet staring at the empty space where he stood a few seconds back.. The sound of a giggle got her out of her trance and she looked around to find a giggling Kriya sitting diagonally opposite to her.. She straightened herself and looked at Kriya but this time with a wide smile.. She almost jumped out of the car and rushed to where he was standing.. Both sat on his bike and while she adjusted herself Swayam turned to the car and winked at Kriya and she reciprocated the same.. Soon all took off from there as a rocking night awaited them..
