Sharon: Swayam woh actually kal jo tumne kiya.. I mean jo kahan.. Uska woh.. SHIT!.. Sharon what's wrong with you.. Just relax.. Relax.. Deep breath in.. breath out.. Yea.. You can do it.. Just relax.. (rubbing her palm together) Ok.. So Main kahan thi..
Iss speed main toh tum kahin nahi pahuchogi'
Sharon (turning on her heel and snapping back): Shut up ya Kriya!
Kriya (walking to her): What Shut up.. Listen aise mirrior ke saamne practise karne se kuch nahi milne wala.. Just go and tell him.. You already know woh tumhare baare main kaisa feel karta hai.. Atleast you don't have to stress over woh haan bolega ya nahi..
Sharon (pouting): But how can I just go and tell him.. I was thinking that I'll wait for him to come here and then I'll tell him..
Kriya (holding her by her shoulder, softly): Hey! Look at me.. Always remember this one thing in life Sharon.. Always.. You don't always have to wait for the other person to take a step.. You too need to walk forward.. Abhi tak Swayam ne akele tum dono ke beech ki yeh friendship wali gap khatam ki hai.. It your turn now.. You need to step forward.. You need to initiate it this time.. And it's not only now.. Remember this always in life.. Kisi bhi relationship to intact rakhne ke liye both the individuals need to work to it.. It can't be just one of them..
Sharon (smiling fondly): Hmmm..
Kriya (cupping her face with one hand): And never forget I'm always there.. To help you.. And to stand by you.. Don't ever be afraid to take a step forward, even if you stumble your bhai and I are there to hold you.. I know you've been doubtful about the entire Swayam thing.. But I'm happy that he is the one.. I trust this guy.. (smirking) So meri taraf se green signal *winks*
Sharon and Kriya both share a giggle.. Sharon always found it amusing that she actually found not only a best friend but also an elder sister, a Bhabhi and a guide in Kriya.. She could never question her judgement as she could trust her with her life.. Sharon also loved such instances when Kriya was more like a Bhabhi than anything else.. Feeling overwhelmed Sharon pulled Kriya into a hug which was surely returned..
Kriya (while hugging): Waise tere Monkey ko yeh bhi bata dena ke agar usne tujhe hurt kiya toh, I've been the first one to approve him and I'll surely be the first one to punch down his face..
Sharon (smiling): You know I love you right?!
Kriya suddenly breaks the hug and looks at a startled Sharon..
Kriya: Oh Madam! Yeh mujhe nahi jaake Swayam ko bol..
Sharon blushed to a deep shade of red and her head automatically started dropping lower and lower.. Before Kriya could tease her anymore they heard a knock on the studio door.. Both looked at each other confused and after a moment Sharon's eyes grew wider..
Sharon (in mind): Shit! Kahin Swayam toh nahi aa gaya..
Kriya had already left to open the door while Sharon stood rooted to her spot.. She closed her eyes tight wishing and hoping it was Swayam.. No! No! Wishing it wasn't Swayam.. She herself was confused.. She heard the door click and open.. Waiting to hear the voice.. But somewhere she knew it wasn't Swayam as she usually felt his presence.. Which she at first found strange.. Anyways coming back to the person at the door who turned out to be one of their clients..
Oh yes.. Kriya also organises events and he was the client who was coming in for a meeting today.. And that was the precise reason why Sharon was at the studio at this odd hour..
The meeting went on for a while.. Sharon and Kriya were thorough professionals all the while.. They discussed on the budgeting.. Dance sequences.. Costumes.. Etc. etc.. The meeting finished by lunch time.. Once the client left Sharon stretched out on the dance floor as she hated sitting down for such a long time..
Kriya: Bahut bhook lagi hai.. Ghar pe khaana kya bana hai?
Sharon (looking at her): Aaj khaana nahi banaya?.. Anyways.. Main ghar pe kahan rehti hoon ki mujhe pata rahega ke khaana kya bana hai..
Kriya (face lit up): Pav bhaji!
Sharon (grinning ear to ear): And thumbs up! Lets go! (after a moment) Accha wait wait.. Let me call Swayam.. Usne lunch nahi kiya hoga toh I'll tell him to tag along..
Sharon reaches the table to get her phone while Kriya sat back in her chair fiddling with her mobile and the grin not leaving her face looking at Sharon..
Sharon (shyly): Hey..
Swayam (bluntly): Kya kaam tha?
Sharon (confused): Swayam.. Kya hua?
Swayam (snapping back): Yeh puchne ke liye call kiya?
Sharon (softly): Tum mujhse aise kyun baat kar rahe ho?
Swayam (coldly): Sharon, I'm at work.. toh jaldi bolo I don't have the entire day to sit and chit chat..
The calmness in his voice stung her but she kept quite knowing that there was something wrong..
Sharon (closing her eyes): Woh maine bas yeh puchne ke liye phone kiya tha ke tumne lunch kiya hai ya nahi.. Woh Kriya aur main Pav bhaji khaane jaa rahe the toh socha shayad tum bhi chalo..
Swayam: Nahi.. I'm busy.. Mil gaya answer.. Now can I go?
Sharon (softly): Hey.. Relax ok.. Ghusse main kisi bhi problem ka solution nahi milta.. Aisa kisi ne kahan tha mujhse.. So please keep your cool and solution mil jayega..
Sharon heard his sigh over the phone.. She smiled to herself knowing that he has relaxed..
Swayam (closing his eyes): Hmm..
Sharon: Ab tum apna kaam continue karo.. Bye..
Swayam (stopping her, calmly): Shar..
Sharon: Haan
Swayam: Sorry..
Sharon (smiling): Shouldn't be.. I'm glad.. I'll see you in the evening.. Bye
Swayam (smiling): Bye..
As Sharon hung up with a smile dancing on her face, she noticed Kriya looking at her partially quizzingly and partially grinning..
Sharon (frowning): What?
Kriya: Is Swayam coming?
Sharon: No he is kinda busy..
Kriya (standing up): Toh chale?
Sharon: By the way.. My treat..
Kriya (looking at her and smiling a bit too sweetly): Thapad khaana hai?
Sharon: Ummm.. I guess Pav bhaji is a better option..
It was evening.. Today Swayam wasn't coming to pick Sharon up and somewhere she knew it was because of some problem related to the morning temper.. She messaged him to meet her on the terrace as usual..
She was late by a bit as today she had to cook and clean the kitchen after everyone was done with their dinner.. Today for a change Sharon had made trifle pudding which was Swayam's all-time favourite.. She had kept a bowl aside specially for him.. She took it with her when she was going up to meet him.. She felt hell nervous as she didn't know what would happen next.. After last night this was the first time she was facing him.. Her cheeks were turning red remembering that moment.. Her heart racing.. faster and faster..
As she stepped through the door of the terrace she saw Swayam sitting there with his head laid back and his eyes closed.. No he wasn't sleeping.. He was lost deep in thoughts.. All her nervousness ran out.. Her tensed body relaxed.. She knew there was something bothering him so now it was time for the friends to meet.. the later can wait for a while.. She walked to him and placed the bowl in front of him taking her place beside him.. She pulled up her knees and hugged them lightly.. Swayam was still immobile.. She nudged him a bit with her elbow..
Swayam slowly opened his eyes and lifted his head up looking at her..
Sharon (softly): Hey..
Swayam (smiling lightly): Hey..
Sharon (pointing out towards the bowl): Tumhare liye..
Swayam (looking at her with a raised eyebrow): You cooked?
Sharon simply nodded while Swayam took a bite of his dessert..
Sharon: Kya hua hai?
Swayam froze for a moment with his hand stopped in mid air..He didn't turned to look at Sharon but continued having the pudding..
Swayam: Kuch bhi toh nahi.. I'm just enjoying my dessert..
Sharon smiled knowingly.. She bent forward and placed her hand over his giving it a light squeeze.. Swayam let out a sigh and finally looked at her keeping his spoon in bowl..
Swayam: I spoke to papa.. About the Chef's course..
Sharon (calmly): And he said no.. And also fired back..
Swayam simple nodded agreeing to her while his head was held.. Sharon knew the turmoil he is going through.. From the past 1 years Swayam was trying to convince his Dad that he didn't want to get into his business but do a chef's degree, it had always been his dream to open up his own chain of restaurant's.. But his dad always denied and insulted him in return..
Swayam was never a person who would go against his family, especially his dad.. Not because he was scared but out of respect.. And that's why he was working at the office to keep his dad happy..
Sharon shifted forward and wrapped her arms around him hugging him.. He needed it at the moment.. Swayam let out a huge sigh and his body relaxed against her touch.. He slowly wrapped his hands around her waist and pulled her closer.. He nuzzles into her hair while closing his eyes..
Sharon (softly): Want to talk about it?
Swayam nods negatively not wanting to recall all that had happened.. It would just make him feel worse.. He just tightened his grip around her and they stayed like that for a while.. Here Sharon didn't want to push him too much as she knew he would just get zoned when they would discuss this particular matter.. There was a comforting silence.. Sharon nuzzled further in the crook of his neck enjoying the feeling of being there in his arms.. It can actually been said that both were zoned.. Lost in each other.. Both their eyes closed and a smile dancing on both their faces.. Sharon without her knowledge kissed him on his neck desperately trying to get him out of this turmoil and comfort him.. Swayam was relaxed, but as soon as he felt her lips on his neck his grip tightened further and a moan escaped his mouth.. He nuzzled further into her neck inhaling her heavenly scent..
Swayam (huskily): I love you..
Sharon (lost in moment): And I love you more..
Swayam's eyes snapped open as soon as he heard that.. Slowly his lips stretched wider form a huge grin.. He abruptly broke the hug and looked at Sharon who was frowning back at him..
Swayam (holding her by her shoulder): What did you just say?
Sharon first looked at him confused trying to register his question in her head.. Then she recalled what just happened and the confused dropped as her eyes went wide in shock and surprise..
Sharon (mumbling): Maine bol diya?!
Swayam (grinning): Bol diya.. Bas ek baar aur bol do..
Sharon (still lost): Kaise kya bol diya?
Swayam looked at her and chuckled.. He shook her lightly by her shoulder calling out her name..
Swayam: Sharon!
Sharon (recovering from her shock): Haan.. Swayam.. Woh.. Main.. Woh.. Tumhe..
Swayam (softly): Bas phir se bol do.. Please
All the nervousness that had left her sometime back returned.. Her head started dropping down and cheeks started turning red as she realised that she had confessed.. She was nervous.. She was ecstatic.. Her heart was beating at an abnormal pace.. She didn't even realise how had she just said it when she was unable to bring those words to her tongue all the day..
Swayam on the other hand had already reached cloud 9.. He was just lost in observing all the colours on her beautiful face.. She had finally said it.. She had finally accepted her feeling.. All the confusion had finally found its way out.. And now it was time to be together.. Not as friends.. But as a couple.. Not able to control his happiness he tipped her face up and looked deep into her eyes and the next second his lips found hers..
It wasn't the first time her was kissing her.. Well he had done it yesterday but now there was a different level of intensity.. And this time she responded back after recovering from her shock.. Swayam was so sudden that at first Sharon caught onto his arms to balance herself.. But as she started responding her hands travelling up his arm and to his shoulder up into his hair.. While his hands stayed by her cheeks cupping her face.. Swayam bit her lower lip and she left out a moan at the back of her throat and tugged his hair.. As they were running out of breath both broke the kiss and rested their foreheads together catching up on their breath.. Both their eyes were still closed and a smile was still dancing on their lips..
Sharon (softly): I love you..
Swayam (slowly opening his eyes): Look at me..
Sharon (opening her eyes, blushing): I love you..
Swayam (creasing her cheek with his thumb): And I love you..
Sharon blushed deeper while pulling back her hands that were still knotted in his hair.. As her hands slid down his shoulder and where about to skim down his chest, Swayam held on to her right arm with one hand.. Sharon looked up immediately.. He interlocked their palm together and placed a deep peck on her forehand..
Swayam (softly): Ab main tumhe kahin bhaag nahi dunga.. Apne paas rakhunga.. Hamesha..
Sharon blushed even more not able to articulate her words..
Swayam: Kya hua? Sharon Rai Prakash chup ho gayi?
Sharon didn't look up but just smiled even brighter..
Swayam: Ab main jab bhi tumhe kiss karu ya jab bhi tum mujhe I love you' bolo, tum itna hi blush karne wali ho?
Sharon (trying to pull back her hand, blushing): Swayam!
Swayam (pulling her hand back to himself): No Girlfriend..
Sharon (looking at him confused): Girlfriend?
Swayam (narrowing his brows): Haan.. If we love each other toh tum to meri girlfriend hui na?!
Sharon (doubtful): But Swayam..
Swayam's face falls.. And lets go Sharon's hands and straighten himself looking at her..
Swayam: Kya hua Shar?
Sharon looks at him and finds a few traces of fear in his voice and expression.. She knows she need to handle the situation with care as she doesn't want to hurt him nor does she want him to misunderstand her.. She takes in a deep breath and straighten herself sitting infront of Swayam..
Sharon (softly): Swayam woh.. See.. I don't want things between us to change.. Yes we love each other.. But I also love my best-friend and our friendship.. I have always treasure our friendship and the bond we share.. Main nahi chahti ki hum ek relationship main hone ki wajahse humari woh dosti kho de.. I don't want us to change..
She tried to put in her thoughts as simply as she could.. She looked at Swayam expectedly.. Here Swayam was looking at her blankly for a few moments but then let out a sigh and relaxed visible..
Swayam (running his hands through his hair): God you scared me Sharon..
Sharon (taken aback): Matlab?
Swayam looked at her and he knew what did he have to do at this moment.. He moved forward and cupped her face with one hand while intertwined their fingers with the other..
Swayam: Hey.. Humare beech kuch nahi badlega.. Hum jaise pehle the waise hi rahenge.. Haan thodi bahut changes hogi jaise.. (smirking) Kabhi thoda romance.. Kabhi thode hugs.. Kabhi thodi naughtiness (gazing at her lips, huskily) Kabhi thode kisses.. (snapping back) But otherwise jaise hum pehle jhagadte the.. Pehle jaise tum mujh pe bina matlab ke ghussa hoti thi.. Jaise main tumhe tang karta tha woh kabhi nahi badlega.. Relationship main honeka yeh matlab toh nahi na ke hum kabhi dost nahi rahenge.. Tum pehle bhi meri best friend.. meri support.. my one and only Siren thi or humesha rahogi.. You don't have to worry about this.. Trust me.. I won't let us change..
Sharon (innocently): Promise?
Swayam (lightly nodding): Promise!
Sharon grins back at him and launches herself onto him hugging him tight.. Swayam laughs at her sudden gesture and balances them in one place.. Both share a short giggle and enjoy being in each other embracement..
Sharon: You are the best!
Swayam (proudly): Proudly!
Sharon (playfully hitting him on his back): Monkey..
Swayam (grinning): Your Monkey..
