MEMPHIS
PART 6
I had the feeling deep in my gut that there'd been lines I should have spoken, gestures I should have made, that would have made things better. But looking back, I didn't know what they were. As a friend, I was pretty much useless, apparently. - Megan Crewe

I kept on staring at him. I'd just received two shocks, back to back, that too in one sentence. First, he wanted to be friends with Sanyukta, the girl he states as being his mortal enemy. Second, he asked me for help? Randhir Singh Shekhawat! The guy who roams around with I-need-no-one-I'm-the-best' attitude just asked me for help? Did I even hear him right?
"What?" I managed to say, after staring him for 2-3 minutes.
He sighed. "I'd expected this reply"
"Randhir, I need to know everything" I said. He nodded.
What he told me next, left me in shock. It was hard to believe that Sanyukta was in depression but it was even harder to believe that Randhir wanted to help her out. I wanted to ask him the reason, but I resisted.
"So if I help you, we'll be friends?" I asked.
"Depends, on how much help you provide" I nodded and looked outside the window, trying to find a solution to the problem.
"You know what? You keep up with you thinking process and I'll go and meet Vardhan sir" Randhir said as he picked up his bag and dashed out of the room, hurriedly.

I met Randhir out of Vardhan sir's room. I'd finally figured out a way. Randhir came out of the room, all smiles. I lifted an eyebrow at his sudden happiness.
"Guess what did I just do?" He asked.
"What?"
"I made Vardhan sir join dream team project, again. Though, he says he is doing this just because it can help Sanyukta out of depression, but still"
"That's great news! Now we have perfect excuse to gather everyone in canteen and then we can play the game" I said, mostly to myself.
"Huh?"
"Listen, you wanted to be friends with Sanyu, na?"
"Her name is Sanyukta" He was furious, again. Oh god!
"Yeah, Sanyukta. But before that, we should know what she really thinks of you. So that we can make our strategy, accordingly." He nodded, so I went on. "We'll play this word game. Like I'll say a word and she'll have to answer with the first thing that comes into her mind, cool?"
"Cool" he said, approvingly.
I took out my phone and messaged everyone the good news plus asking them to gather in the canteen for a small victory party.

"Okay guys, this party is just so boring. Let's play the word game, shall we?" Parth asked. Everyone nodded. Parth tried to make everyone understand the rules, but no one could. Idiots!
"Okay, no problem. Randhir knows how this game is played. We both will demo it for you all" Parth said, giving in. Everyone agreed.
What? No! No! No! What is the plan backfired? What if I said something I should not? God! Why did I ask this idiot for help?! Anyways, I had to agree. I had no excuse. He started shooting the questions.
"Dream?"
"Engineering"
"Hate?"
"Mom" I cringed at my answer.
"Well wisher?"
"Dad"
"Friend?"
"Jiggy"
"Mentor?"
"Virdhan sir"
"Love?"
I bit my tongue at my answer to this while her head shot up in shock.
