I got a PM asking about the F.I.R in the previous chapter, so I'll just clarify it here for those who are not familiar with it. In fact I should have included it with the chapter itself, but it slipped my mind- sorry about that :s

F.I.R. (First Information Report) is a written document detailing a complaint of a "cognizable offence". It is used by the police in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh- therefore some of you may be unfamiliar with it. Long story short, a police officer records or writes down the complaint if it is given orally, preferably word for word so that no part of the account is misconstrued or important information left out (and for other reasons, such as presenting in court, ensuring the person cannot change their complaint later etc.), and then it is read back to the person making the complaint to ensure everything has been recorded properly. The document is then signed, and the investigation begins. In the case of the previous chapter, Anjali's F.I.R was recorded word for word in this manner, and then read back to her, presumably at her lawyer's behest.

Hope that cleared up any misunderstandings/confusions. Please remember this is a simplified, generalised account of the procedure- I don't want to confuse anyone (including myself) by dwelling on the technicalities.
