A gasp left her mouth, tears threatening to fall, heart shattering, and mind intonating strength mantra. This time she didn't let her heart cry instead she bared steadfastness and made a sound to let them know her presence. They broke apart sensing the third one. Khushi, hurriedly placed coffee mugs on the table, mouthed a sorry for witnessing their PDA and ran away. She came to canteen and sat thinking of what has happened.

Back in the cabin Arnav stood still thinking about Khushi and her pain stricken face which resembled the pain on the same face years back. He know understood that she is attracted to him but from when? And something in him rejoiced knowing he has her attention.

"ASR! What are you thinking?"

He came out of his thoughts and said "Nothing Lavanya. We should start working from tomorrow, for today make yourself comfortable with the surroundings and ask Aman about your schedule for tomorrow. "

"Ok ASR, Thank You." Saying this she left.

Arnav sat thinking about how he met Khushi for the first time in his school. Like every other day, he and his friends visited their hangout, canteen and sat confabbing with each other. While he was talking he felt something licking his ankle and saw down to find a puppy licking his shoe. He was about to look around for the puppy owner and suddenly a petite girl reached for the puppy to it into her arms comforting it. He saw the girl who stood before him looking at him. She is slender with a very fair skin. Her swan like neck, her luscious pink lips, her cute little button nose and finally her deep hazel eyes which spoke all emotions in the planet, now filled with complete innocence with a tinge of esteem for him. He felt a pull for the girl in front of him and asked for her name for which she replied brownie he smiled a bit and asked clearly for her name and got to know as Khushi. He chuckled a bit at the reminiscence of that incident. Later that day he went to canteen convincing his mind that he's here just for fun like every day but her heart knows better and started searching for her single show. But to his utter disappointment he didn't find her. His brain mocked him and he was angry at himself for being such silly. After that he himself immersed in his studies and other activities, when the thought of her invades his brain he scolded himself for letting loose his control. As days passed the thoughts of her faded away... Or he thought so. He still remembered the interaction between them and also the pain in her eyes. In fact he was stupefied seeing her there in his party and came to know that she is Payal's sister. Now he understands her pain. So, she is attracted to him.

He himself was not sure what to feel out of it. He never put his heart into any relationship. Each and every relation is just like a mutual understanding between him and his partner. There is no promise made for a commitment in his relations. He treats them as his lady by giving gifts and limits physical intimacy to kisses. He never believed in Love or any long time commitment. He was good with this way. Allowing Khushi to harbor her feelings for him will lead the situation to difficult phase. She is sister of Payal who's friend of Anjali di and he could not spoil their friendship. With this he decided to carry a normal attitude and give cold shoulder to her feelings which infer his lack of interest in her.

Here Khushi sat in canteen thinking deeply of what to do? She thought that she can't let herself sit and cry for spilled milk. It is clear that he has no feelings for her to reciprocate and she should not be an open book for him to read. She should be much professional with him and she should avoid him when necessary. With a determination in heart she started work, but the hope in her heart of getting his love didn't diminish even a little.

Khushi started working on the meeting which is to be held in an hour with all the staff. Aman guided Khushi with some presentations and gave suggestions when needed. Arnav entered the conference room and saw Aman and Khushi together working and something in him burned but not complained. Aman greeted him with a nod and he waited for Khushi to see his presence. Khushi timidly raised her head and saw him looking at her intently as if he is reading her soul and nodded greeting him. Arnav gave a tight smile but somewhere deep down he is searching for something he wished to see. Khushi chided her heart for its apostate. Her anticipation dried out seeing his clenched jaw. Tears brimmed her eyes for no specific reason. She felt isolated and hurt. This is not what she prepared for. She is here to be near Arnav which is next to impossible but she managed to square up with some memories which she can hold on for her entire life and here she just receives hatred from the man she love. She is not ready to accept this and determined to make things good.

Arnav saw Khushi thinking deeply. He waited to gauge her reactions but saw a sheer determination. But his guestimate session was brutally cut up by the staff entering the hall. The meeting started and time passed in jiffy. Everyone was introduced to the new model Lavanya and were asked to start working on the new release.

Lavanya saw Khushi working in conference hall after the meeting and reached her.

"Hello, Khushi!!" Khushi turned to see Lavanya standing there smiling at her and greeted

"Hello, Lavanya."

"Vaise, Khushi tum abhi bhi yaha kya kar rahi ho?"

"Oh! kuch nahi Lavanya. Mai bas files arrange kar rahi thi. Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho?"

"Kuch khas nahi aise he. Aaj toh mere shoot nahi hai isliye ASR ne kaha ki office."

"Acha! Mei ek baat poochoo Lavanya, Aap model kaise bani? "

"mera phela modeling Stanford mey ek college event ko kiya tha. Uske baad apni portifolios kai modeling agencies ko bheja aur offers ane lagi hai. Abhi taq mey sirf catalogue model hoon jaise mere print focuses magazine mey hoti hai. AR sey mei apni pehla runway modeling karti hoon. How sweet haina. "

"Ha Lavanya! Congratulations. Vaise aap ki shaadi kab hai." Khushi never meant to ask it, but her cryptic heart didn't let her stop.

To say Lavanya was shocked to face such question, Khushi saw Lavanya disquieting and apologized.

"Its OK Khushi. It's just it came suddenly and for your question ASR never believes in this stuff and marriage is out of question. You know Khushi I started loving Arnav from my first year of college in Stanford. I don't know but I felt deep attachment for him. I can never ignore him and can never bear his ignorance. When we were in final year he, out of the blue asked me out. Not that I'm complaining but Arnav never dated anyone precisely he never talked to anyone and I'm nowhere near. Firstly, I was scared thinking it as some prank but he made it clear to date me. I was elated. You know Khushi I used to paint my future with him. As time passes I came to know relation with Arnav comes with an expiry date. He never showed interest for my feelings, he used to gift expensive stuff which I never wanted. I just used to expect some warm good morning wishes some moments sneaking out of our daily life, some memories which remains significant. I tried to tell him that these materialistic things never mattered me, and cleared that he is more important but nothing changed I didn't want loose him so I gave in. later I used to ask him about our future but he mostly avoided the topic. He cares a lot but I wanted it to be out of love. When I get close to him letting him know that how much I love him he just goes cold and lashes me out. I know there is no love from Arnav here but I can't give him up. I feel insecure of my relation with Arnav. He never responds when I tried to get cozy with him. Firstly, I was shattered with his quiescent behavior. I used to cry over days and ignore him. He used to console me saying he is not comfortable being cozy. Later the days it dawned me that he does not know how it feels to love and to be loved and I failed in showing him. I made myself strong, knowing this relation can never last forever. I know I'm not for him. He is one in million, he cares for everyone but he doesn't want anyone to hover. I truly believe, if he ever loves, he treats his partner as a princess. I'm now just waiting for such a unique piece who will make Arnav Singh Raizada dance around her figure."

Lavanya completed her soliloquy and turned to see Khushi who is in tears.

"I'm so sorry Lavanya I should have never asked it in the first place. I feel so pathetic for asking you. It was because of me you remembered all your past. I'm so sorry."

"Khushi..! Listen, I hived it for years, don't you think I need someone to share it and a shoulder to cry on. So, I vented my growing pains to you and I'm free. So, Friends..!"

Khushi took her hand and shook it.

"Thank you Khushi, for listening to my dukh bhari kahani."

"Friends ke beech mein no sorry no thank you." With that both girls hugged each other finding solace.
