They rushed her to the the hospital because she had stopped breathing. After getting primary treatment at ESI hospital they headed towards AIIMS 8km away as injury was severe."Sir shall we call police ?" Pk questioned to dean.
"No no pk.. The question is of our college's reputation. We are no.1 what people will think when they'll learn that students ain't safe here !. we can't take the risk."
"Then sir what about investigation ?
"We will see it later. First let Sanyukta be fine. And Vardhan alone can handle the investigation ! we indeed need not to worry."
' Huh vardhan hi q even i can do " pk mummer to himself.
"Did you say something pk ?"
"No nothing sir. "
"get a stretcher quickly "
They load causalty (sanyukta) on the stretcher and went straight in the emergency room.
She lay there..her body strewn apart. For 4 of 'em lives were torn apart. Blood was oozing everywhere.
Kaustuki was darn scared so was jignesh. jignesh hugged her tightly giving her all courage he could.
vardhan for the 2nd time in his life had tears in his eyes for a girl. It was like he was back 12 years ago. same hospital , same ward .. the only thing he wished to be not so same was the result ! what happened to niharika shouldn't happen to her. He prayed to god.
But randhir was expressionless. He was facing myriads of emotions . He was scared, sad and angry.
he was lost in his thoughts
"how all this happened ! the minute before she there.. there with him ! smiling and now.. sleeping peacefully as a child without any worries. but she ain't sleeping "
flashacks of their moments together appeared before him. how they fought on silliest things , thw way she shouted.. the way she hugged her for the first time.
he stood there numblessly !
The surgery was tricky as it was brand new. The injury was not on stomach n head but one main part as well. her heart ! her right ventricle was hit as well .
surgeons were very confused as what to do. So many complications at one time. They'd never seen such case before
The nurse was conveying each n everything to vardhan n all. everyone was thrilled.
It took immense effort and patience to sew that mess up.
There outside the OT randhir was waiting impatiently fooling his heart and mind that
" It's only a test and as always she'll be passing it with no difficulty. It's only a test. she'll be fine"
"sanyukta you've to emerge stronger.. you've to. then you can rest as much as you want but pls be strong "
After hours n hours of surgery her injuries were all fixed up except for her heart it needed a bit more.
finally the door open. and she emerged new.. there she was peaaceful and contented.. everyone stood up..
he watched her as she was wheeled away continuously even when she was transfered to icu he kept looking that way.. vardhan was talking to doctors and he came near randhir
"randhir.."
Randhir was back in his senses now.
"sir.. sir what happened ? what did they say ?"
"She is fine " vardhan managed to smile. "just a bit more healing is required. " "she is fine "
radhir felt a bit relief not much but he could now live with the hope of her.
suddenly randhir's concerned face turned to anger.
"sir.. how th.."
"i know randhir i know.. let's go now. we get a lotta work to do.."
"sir can we left her here alone ? i mean is she safe here ?"
"yes kaustuki the doctors here are really good. they'll take care of her nicely. don' worry."
all four of em left.
