*Edited*Reading this update was like watching a thriller ,Sandy.I was on the edge of my seat worrying about khushi. The chapter started beautifully with the falling snow and the family snoozing away in the car.The description was beautiful. And then there was Anya, who was worried about Payal. Why couldn't Aakash see what Anya and Khushi saw?I understand that Manorama is his mother, but Payal is supposedly the love of his life.He needs to be there for her.And then came the discovery that Khushi was missing.I actually thought in the beginning that she was walking on the road following the car.It was only later that I realised she was locked in the basement.Sometimes light plays certain tricks and Khushi's fear of dark must have led to her thinking that there was a snake.Arnav's fear of losing Khushi was palpable. The fear of losing a loved one makes one realise how dear that person is to you. This is what Arnav's emotion must have been when he couldn't find Khushi.Wonderfully written update, Sandy. Now when are you updating the next one? Please give us a date and a day, and we won't ask again.

I know if a snake was close to me, I would be scared spit less
Yesterday my husband caught a centipede and put it in a bottle
my sister, brother and I were looking at DID on my laptop and he placed the bottle between us
all my brother did was move away, my sister jumped on the couch screaming and I screamed and knocked down my mom's potted plant in the process
He and my bother just stood there laughing at us, of course the centipede was still locked in the bottle
Sandhya,
I want to add subtitle "expect the unexpected" to every title of your update, because you surprise me every time. You always manage to build the anticipation and excitement for some predictable situations too.
Coming to the update, I read it in the afternoon and its night for us but I am still reeling in the after effects of the update. It got my heart racing; I had Goosebumps and still have chills running down my whole body thinking of that snake in that cupboard, the dark room and its hissing. It was more impactful because, snakes are my biggest phobia, so much so that I can't even stand their pictures, reading about them or discussing them.
I could experience each and every emotion, fear, helplessness of Khushi, in this update and the credit goes to you as a writer.
You take us from soothing, calm serene mountains, capped with white snow to a dark room, with a lurking reptile and fearful life. All this is in one update!! This was pure thriller. I say this after every update, will say it again - "This is the best update"!! I say that because personally think it's difficult to evoke fear and fright with words, than romance.
For the second time, Arnav came face to face with fear of losing, Khushi. The fear of almost losing a loved one brings a huge transformation in how we value loved ones and life. Arnav, is going through that transformation now. He knows he loves, Khushi and she means a lot to him but this dreadful situation made he realize how much he loves her and needs her.
I have a feeling that this chapter is a turning point in the story and gearing myself up for "Expect the unexpected".
