CHAPTER :6

With khushi very tactfully avoiding to meet sameera by trying to bury herself in a world were only medicines and patient reports existed, their clashes reduced considerably and sameera felt as though she won the self induced battle and had efficiently managed to emerge as the ultimate winner defeating her toughest competitor in her own game.

But these happiness and feel of victory lasted for a meager of few days. As the date of the wedding got fixed after one month, sameera's patience flew completely out of the window making her more and more restless, thinking about the worst happening with her love life. Her fears reached greater heights that may be everything she had tried and achieved so far would be brutally snatched away from khushi!!

Now that the wedding had enough time, the pace of the wedding preparations can be slowed down and so the family decided that sameera can meet them directly at the store for shopping and other stuff. not to mention, she was very disheartened yet wasn't going to give up on her efforts sooo easily. her professionalism and terse tactics jumped in right at the nick of time to her rescue.

She, at first suggested, voiced out,pleaded even begged her family members to pre-pone the wedding at any cost, but that dint work out unfortunately. her parents were a very strict followers of kundali and all those graha position kind of things and any thing inproper of inauspicious for their only daughter's wedding was simply unacceptable to the Rathod's.

So at the end, on the pretense of spending some quality time with her inlaws as she dint had any work to do , sameera started visiting RM at evening time. One more reason for this was to gauge arnav's reaction as till now, whatever she did was only in his absence and she cant trust khushi or let her roam freely to destroy all her day's efforts during night time. Arnav had to be completely hers...and the rest of the family members would soon come around.

So she started visiting RM and started learning traditional culture of raizada khaandaan, and the daily house chores from arnav's mom. bitiya sayaani ho rahi thi, Her parents were sooo happy. They had never seen sameera taking interest in cooking or any other household activities...and now that she willingly opted for it, they had their consent given full in advance!

Badi maa was also very glad to teach her future daughter in law the norms and sadiyo se chali aa rahi parampara of their house in a loving manner full of affection and care. Sameera would fake excitement to such an extent that badi maa coudnt bring it in herself to stop the adoring and over-excited sweetheart from visiting rm daily so that she could learn new varied things.

Sameera had made it a point to visit in the late afternoon and stay till late evenings until arnav drops her off . She wanted to set things right for her, and win this battle for life...by any way...either hook or crook.

She had wished for positive results and gosh!! She was expecting a bit too much...regarding arnav treating her in a very special way especially after his confession that night. She still remembered the way she had thrown herself in his arms and today as she waited for him to be back from the office, she could feel her stomach churn in excitement.

Their relationship was never set on a casual basis. a few hi's here and there, with a formal smile was just the limit of it, And now she was hell-bent on taking taking it a lot more further.

She imagined all sides of him...flirting, romantic, loving, carefree and what not. She thought he would be baffled by her beauty and charm obviously owing to the special efforts she was undertaking, and unlike the stealing glances they used to share earlier in office, this time it would be intent gazing filled with desire, love and passion. She hoped him to forget the world, loosing himself in her eyes.

She wanted to see him restless, if she stopped him from hugging her...

she wanted him to jump at the first opportunity to have her all to himself whenever and wherever possible...

she wanted him to tease her during dinners and lunch's making her blush like hell!!...

she wanted her arnav to be very open in regards with public display of affection especially in front of a certain someone known as his bestie...

she was dreaming with open eyes, while her hands were busy making his favorite pasta as taught by his maa.

It was 6 pm and everyone, except arnav had returned from their day's job. Khushi was surprised to find sameera inside the kitchen preparing something looking like a pasta while anjali and shyam were also bewildered about it. shrugging off they carried on with the usual chitter chatter...

But later on, as maa informed them about the new bahu's keen interest regarding excelling herself in all the household jobs especially cooking their CHOTE's favourite dishes...the couple smiled and moved to freshen up with eyes sparkling mischieviously. Badi maa had carefully avoided mentioning sameera while talking with khushi when she was back from the hospital...

Reason 1 : badi maa had seen her upset because of sameera and the rudeness that was confined only to her.

Reason 2 : somewhere she still hoped arnav and khushi to realize that THEY love each other...and now as she had accepted sameera's idea to learn all the cooking stuff from her...she deliberately dint argued with her, when she arrived late at the afternoon. She wanted to test khushi's emotions for arnav in the context of jealousy.

Khushi freshened up and stayed in her room, trying to avoid any direct conversation with sameera...but somewhere around 6:30 she heard the sound of HIS car...and and and, her heart soared, her stomach fluttered, she could not stop herself from going down to welcome him, like every other day. Luckily as she crossed the hallway sameera wasn't around, maybe too busy in her experimentations with the pasta.

Arnav came back home after going through a series of tiring ayet fruitful meetings on a foreign dealership. as he entered through the main gates, he looked up towards his source of interest and like always found her waiting for him with a huge dazzling smile!

Shyam who was seated on the sofa, saw him entering and whistled loudly so that the temporary chefs for the day may get the clear idea, that their guest of honor, had finally arrived. Sameera smilingly dusted herself off and moved out of the kitchen wiping off the sweat and cleaning all the mess from her beautifully embroidered dress. on her way, she Gave a shy smile to shyam bhai, which he reciprocated with a teasing wink plus smirk and diverted his attention back onto his newspaper.

Sameera finally made it to the entrance door and gazed-up only to find khushi running straight in his arms whereas to her utter dismay and more of a horrified kind of surprise, arnav too hugged her tightly not even sparing a glance in her direction. Both of them remained in a hug for what seemed like ages to sameera and she could hear khushi mumbling something in his ears to which he was bloody giving a broad smile. Anger and jealousy crept over her entire being...she could actually feel his heart burn in such an intensity that the whole of the RM may caught fire.

She turned back and immediately moved herelf back to the confines of the kitchen, unable to bear this melodramatic drama for even a second more. she was also quite afraid, that in her rage she may do or speak something which would be regrettable later. Coz right now, all she wished was to give a tight slap to that bloody cheapo, khushi as well to arnav.

"How dare he took her in his arms...!!! Wasn't this my right?...only I m allowed to get close to him...I m his bloody fianc dammit!

Khushi kumara gupta...u will pay for this...I understand... arnav was unknown of me being present here, but u knew...and it wasn't my arnav who ran to hug u...u came running as though this was the most natural thing in the world... now I got to know, why ur wedding broke...bloody charaterless!!... ur groom must have seen ur true colours...huh!"

She was holding a knife and twisting it imagining khushi in arnav's arm...the scene she witnessed today was going to bother her for the upcoming nights and more...hell! how is she going to handle it...all her dreams n her imaginations were crushed in that one hug...she wondered how can someone fall so cheap.
