Arnav began walking forward holding Khushi's hands.. She walked on his steps through the bush.. And some steps away.. she was dumbfounded.. Her eyes were wide open out of surprise.. It was beautiful.. just so beautiful.. It was beyond any beauty of this earth.. as if she could walk a few steps more and touch the moon.. and she uttered.. " It's out of this world! The moon looks so beautiful and calm and the stars so shining.. how did you find this place.."..
(I do not own this.. I googled it.. Credits to owner)
Arnav smiled as he replied.. " it's my secret place.. and now yours too.. When I need to talk to my mum I come here!".. and he pointed towards a star among hundreds.. " You see this star.. the closest to the moon.. it's my mother..".. and Khushi eagerly asked.. " how do you know it's her? My dad says there's no life after death.. when she's gone, she's gone forever.."... Arnav lifted Khushi's hands up and place a few stars into her palms as he said looking straight into her eyes.. "My mother gifted me these stars saying that as long as these are with me, she'll be here.. Invisible but by my side always and forever... It's yours now! You need your mother more than I do.. and I promise she'll come to you.. she'll tell you which one of these stars she is.. I'm sure she will.. It happened with me.. I was completely down, I had lost track of my life and then I found these stars gifted by my mother... I remembered her words.. and that night.. my mother came to me.. She cradled me to sleep.. and I never ever felt lonely.. I had her.. in my heart.. in my dreams.. and here under this beautiful moonlight..", Khushi looked at those stars with teary eyes.. her heart wanting to believe to every words of Arnav... the belief that her mother is here somewhere, looking after her.. She lifted her eyelids towards Arnav and a tear rolled down her cheeks.. Arnav brought his hands and cupped her face while he wiped off her tears with his thumb... They both shared an intense eyelock and was finding it hard to resist her.. their hearts were both beating together.. and Khushi's breathed higher nervously as his lips began approaching hers.. a few inches away.. and it was about to happen when from nowhere came a hand.. who pulled Khushi violently away from Arnav.. Both looked at Mr. Gupta in shock.. and the old man said to Arnav furiously.. "Stay away from my daughter, you brat!".. Khushi constantly looked at Arnav tearingly while she was dragged through the woods to her father's car.. They drove back home and as soon as they reached, Khushi ran to her room in cries.. Surprisingly her father said no word in the car.. but if he had said it.. she knew she wouldn't hesitate to fight for Arnav.. "if your heart desires it, it's worth the risk!".. She won't let her mother's belief go waste.. She would fight for her happiness.. her beliefs.. her rights.. She was weeping on her bed when her father finally entered her room in anger.. and he yelled out.. "What were you thinking? Have you lost it".. and she replied firmly.. "I'm just following the way of my heart dad.. that's what I want.. that's where my happiness lies.. I know it.. my heart told me so.. please dad.. don't steal my happiness from me.. I can't break one more time.. please..".. and the father nodded as he retaliated.. "Way of your heart, bullshit.. your mother is dead, and so is her philosophies.. You are not meeting this boy again.. you hear me.. I won't let my daughter to be the flavor of the month of a certain flirt! For heaven sake, you are 16... I hope you got me clear..".. and he walked away banging the door while Khushi cried her heart out into the bed sheets..
An hour later.. It struck midnight.. when a pebble was thrown into Khushi's room.. on the spot she jumped off her bed and ran to the terrace.. A teary smile adorned her face when she saw Arnav.. She wiped off her tears and signed to him that she is coming down.. She rushed back into her room.. quickly changed her dress into jeans and top.. took a sport bag.. stuffed in a few necessary clothes.. and she stepped out of her room on her toes.. As she reached the stairs.. before she stepped down.. she saw Arnav in the hall with her father.. She looked at them in shock.. Suddenly Arnav lifted his eyelids and looked at her while she stared in confusion.. Arnav's eyes were full of guilt.. and he shook hands with Mr. Gupta before walking away.. Leaving Khushi heartbroken on the staircase... No word.. where he was going.. no word.. if he will come back.. no word if she should wait.. just no word at all..
Author's Note
This one update was a reply to my dad.. even if he won't read it I had to get this out somehow.. He's quite unwell and this stupid quote is from him "there's no life after death, when it's gone.. it's gone forever.. It's completely over". But I believed it will never be over for a daughter or a son..
Next part is the last one.. and don't be upset by the end of this one part.. my story definitely has a happy ending..
and here's the banner of the new story to replace he was romeo and I was his juliet.. A 7 to 8 shots story..
