Part 17

She stopped seeing the door of his room open and once again the curiosity of seeing him sleeping peacefully raised in her heart and mind. She stepped in but the bed was vaccant and so was his room. WHere can he go at this hour?

She came down in search of him and there she saw him resting on the Sofa in a sitting position with his head leaned back for support, his eyes shut and his mouth little opened to breathe normally. His laptop was lying unattended on the table before him which she couldnt help from closing down because all she wished at the present was seeing him sleeping peacefully.

She knew he was going through some inner turmoil since the time She had confessed to him about why she came here for? And now Lavanya's presence between them was already enough for him to digest. She held his injured hand which were holding some papers in it and moved it aside. She went back upstairs and got his Quilt down to cover him from the cold weather. She didnt know why she was doing so much for him. She broke his heart, his trust but there was still something she cannot think of breaking off from him completely and that was her Love for him. She could deny it to him and the whole world that she never loved him, she only revenged him. But she failed to lie herself. She was madly in love with him and this love had no proper future according to her. So She had plans to get back to Ireland and continue handling her business. It was not good to stay here and see him hurting her and himself getting hurt.

Next Morning

He woke up with the sound of the Door bell which rang every morning here for the collection of Milk. He rubbed his eyes and realised where he slept last night. But then who put the quilt on him? Could it be Di? He didnt ponder much and picking his laptop he went back to his bedroom. It was a Sunday morning and probably his sister had plans to go out for some shopping which was good. Because she will take everyone with her, especially the girls , and he will get some free time at home without the headache of the two ladies who ruined his present life.

Anjali did come to him and ask him if he would join but he straightly denied. She told Arnav to take care and that she will return by Afternoon. So all the house for him today. No disturbances at all. He quickly thought of taking his shower first and for that all he had to do was take his shirt off . He immediately started unbuttoning his shirt but his injured hand didnt allow him to do that. He tried doing the same with the left hand but again he did face a little difficulty.

With this pain he remembered something else too. So she was planning to leave India this weekend. Will she really go? Itna aasaan hai uske liye? (Its so easy for her ?) His anger suddenly overpowered him but it soon cooled off when he heard Khushi's voice.

Khushi: My Shower isnt working. Can I use this bathroom?

He was utterly shocked to see her in his room and that too in a Black Satin nighty. She was holding her Dress in hand which she would wear after her shower here. So She didnt go with Di. She was here at home and in full mood to use his bathroom.

Arnav turned himself towards the mirror so that he doesnt lose his control seeing her

Arnav: Make it fast.

She thanked him and was walking ahead when she saw him fiddling with the shirt buttons. She remembered his hand was hurt and he was facing difficulty in unbuttoning.

Khushi: Should I help you?

She calmly asked without letting him know she was in pain seeing him avoiding her.

Arnav: Mind your own bussiness Guest Gupta. That will help you stay safe from me.
She didnt know on what context he used that word SAFE but she was not ready to accept his denial. She came before him and moved his hand aside not allowing him to hurt himself more.

Khushi: We have shared control levels more than this Arnav. I dont think just unbuttoning your White Shirt will drift us from our current status.

She looked confident but he was reading her eagerness in helping him more than that. She wanted to do this . Why?

Her fingers shivered as she unbuttoned his shirt. She knew he was staring at her and she was aware of this type of stare. It was always pooled with desires which at the moment both wanted to hide from each other. She was looking breathtakingly gorgeous in that Black Satin Nighty evoking thirst in his heart for making love to her like they did before. However hard he tried to show her he wasn't attracted to her anymore, he always failed to keep control on his desperation. He involuntarily held her waist over that satin material and drifted both his hands upwards ignoring the static current his body was receiving by their friction. Her fingers stopped helping him take his Shirt off by this sudden unexpected touch as she was feeling the same heat inside her, arousing her like the old times. He gripped her waist drawing her near him. She was always irressitible.

Their eyes met and everything seemed perfect like before. Both did see the love they had for each other clearly in the other's eyes which made them think a step forward than this. He leaned towards her lips to claim them once again and she gathered all her strength to welcome his moves. Closing her eyes she gave him a go ahead and waited with baited breathe to feel him on her but it never happened. Arnav's mind shot open when he was hardly an inch away from her and he realised what relationship they shared today. It was just NOTHING .

He pushed her back and then walked inside the washroom to get his cold shower. Why was she complicating things? What was left from her end that she still expected those days to come back in her life? This was unbelievable that she even started something like this again. She left his room with disappointment. Things had changed and she should realsie not to mess with them again.

When Lavanya and Anjali returned back home they saw Khushi busy in packing her bags.

Anjali: Khushi? You packing bags? Where are you going?
Khushi: Back to Ireland Bhabhi. Its been quite a while I am here. I need to be there for handling my work too. Cant stay for long.
Lavanya and Anjali looked at each other.

Lavanya: She is right Di. She stayed here for 1 long month and now she has to start her life again like before.
Anjali: I thought we all are going together Khushi.
Khushi: I would have stayed back Bhabhi but sorry. This time its really important that I start from here.

She had tears in her eyes which she hided from both Anjali and Lavanya and continued packing. The door was knocked and Arnav Singh Raizada came in surprising Khushi especially. Without looking anyone else, he too maintained his attention all on her. Khushi didnt know what he was here for. After their little start of intimacy in his bedroom today before shower, she had no idea how to behave with him. She stood at her place silent and he covered the distance between them with his long steps extending his hand .

Arnav: Your tickets. The Booking Agent just gave it and left.

She couldnt believe he was giving her those so casually. She met his eyes for some seconds and then without a question took her tickets.

Arnav: Di, I think we should celeberate this.
Anjali: Celeberate what Chotte ?
Arnav replied very casually.
Arnav: Guest Gupta is leaving back home Di. Dont you think she deserves a Farewell party?

His thoughts were already pricking khushi to which he added some more looking at her.

Arnav: She has entertained me a lot Di. I need to thank her back for what she did for me here.

Khushi's eyes teared for his harsh words and she had to use all her control not to let him or his sister know what she was going through from within.

Anjali: Chotte. You really shocked me with this idea. But its nice. We should give her a Farewell party. When is her flight?
Arnav: 3 more days to go Di. So We shall celeberate this party tomorrow night. I will make all the necessary arrangements
Lavanya: And I can help you with those preperations?
Arnav : No Thanks. You wont understand the depth of the relation me and Khushi shared in this house for the last 1 month Lavanya. So let me alone handle it.
Anjali: Chotte?

Arnav: Di please. I dont need any help. So just stop asking me if I need it.

He turned back to Khushi who was watching somewhere else and not him.

Arnav: See you tomorrow at the Party Khushi. Wear something in Red.
She immediately stared at him again and before she could make her own assumptions why he wanted her to wear red, he cleared her doubts

Arnav: Thats the colour code for the party . Bye.

He left from that room and so did Anjali and Lavanya deciding what in Red do they have for this party but Khushi sat on the bed closing her face with her palms feeling sorry for herself. All this was so unbareable.

Night

She walked into his den again knowing this entry wasnt good for her. All she wanted to do at the present was deny him for such a party where she cannot even think of attending. He was sitting on the recliner talking to someone on phone.

Arnav: The food should be Italian Suzzane. And dont forget the Jalebi's. It should be one of the dessert.

He saw Khushi inside his room waiting to get his attention and he winded up the call.

Arnav: Call me if you have any other doubts on the arrangements. bye.

He waited for her to speak after he cut the call but she was nervously fiddling with her Dupatta.

Arnav: The arrangements are almost done. You will enjoy this party like never before. Lots of memories to take back home Guest Gupta.
Khushi: I dont need it Arnav . Dont do this.
Arnav: Kyon? Its just a damm party Khushi. The smile that you have lost these days will be back because of it. I assure you.
Khushi: Who said I lost my smile?

She was little angry while she questioned him back and in return sawhim getting up and walking towards her.

Arnav: You asking me that ?

He lingered his finger on her cheeks lazily and then rested it on the sides of her lips rubbing her extra gloss gently off from that place.

Arnav: I know every inch of yours Khushi. You have lost many things staying with me here. Want to give it all back with interest.
She moved back realising he was again crossing that line which she drew between him and her.

Khushi: Just cancel it Arnav. I am in no mood to attend such parties. And especially the one which you hosting.

Arnav folded his hands on his chest and continued staring at her while she left his room hurridly not allowing herself to express to him why she didnt wanted this party to take place.
