Part 13

As they entered inside, he made her stand before him and then left her hand.

Arnav: Marry me Khushi.

He looked in her eyes without even blinking once while saying this. He was proposing her for marriage? He wanted to marry? He was never serious in all such commitments then how can he ask her that.??

Khushi was finding it hard to believe that he just proposed her for marriage. A man who was never believed in personal life commitments , who never wanted to tie a knot with anyone and settle a proper life, who was known to have many ex girlfriends till now including her best friend Lavanya whom he broke up with only because she started expecting him to marry her, was proposing her for marriage today? Was this even true or just because Tanvi infuriated him he was asking her for a commitment?

Arnav cupped her cheeks finding no reply from her and drew her closer.

Arnav: I am asking you something Khushi. I know you are surprised to hear this but I am not playing a prank here. I mean it. I want to marry you, grow old with you and have our kids Khushi. A girl and a boy. I dont care what names we give them but I want us to be together all the time, taking care of them, nurturing them, guiding them and loving them fully with heart. Will you let this dream of mine be a reality? You have changed a man like Arnav Singh Raizada who never wanted commitments. You have made him a better person and I am proud to say that Khushi. Its high time we name this relation before everyone. Its high time we stop avoiding our desires for each other only because we are afraid of losing it one day and moving on.

Her eyes welled up hearing these words. She was been attracted towards him from many days and that attraction did make her pay a lot. She spent nights with him, beside him, in his arms. Though he never crossed his limits, that was still a big step from her side towards such a relationship. Today he was wanting her legally. Today he was ready to commit to her for a lifetime. Should she be happy that a man like Arnav Singh Raizada changed his thinking about relationships? Should she say a YES to him and agree for tieing a knot in future? She was driven into another world when he kissed her forehead lovingly and then looked back in those hazel eyes. Her phone which she was still carrying in her palms started ringing and that brought her back to the reality. She leaned her head to see whose call it was and once again finding it none other than Lavanya she realised what she was here for. She remembered what made her come to India all the way from Ireland for Sheetal's wedding. The wedding was just a small excuse, she was here to teach Arnav Singh Raizada a lesson for ruining her best friend's life. She immediately pushed him and her phone dropped. It turned the speaker mode On and the call got answered too.

Lavanya: Khushi? Where are you? How was the Sangeet? And how far have you reached in this mission? I am sure ASR must be all gaga over your looks and charms. Just ensure he comes to know what it means to fall for a girl and never commit to her. I want to see him in the same pain which he gave me once.

Arnav's eyes reddened, his nose flared in anger while he stared at crying Khushi. So his worst nightmare came true. She was in touch with his Ex girlfriend Lavanya and she was here for ditching him. Giving him the same pain which he once gave to Lavanya unwantedly.

Lavanya: Hello? Khushi? You there? Hello??

Lavanya cut the call from her end but Arnav could not stop his steps towards her. She looked extremely scared at his movements.

He dug his nails in her upper arms pulling her close to him. He was mad at her for doing this to him. He was mad at her for rejecting him. He was mad at her for playing with his emotions. He was mad at her for spending those nights with him which had no future. He was mad at her for every single second that she spent with him, ditching him, plotting against him and much more.

"You are hurting me Arnav, leave me." She pleaded but he seemed to be not bothered. All that was going in his mind at the moment was showing her how she messed with a wrong man. She had always seen his good side, she had seen him teasing her, loving her but today she will see the other side of his which Probably he never showed even to himself.

"If you had not been Jeejaji's sister, I would have fulfilled the desires of marrying you today, even if it meant forcibly Miss Khushi Gupta. I wont justify myself for all the wrong I did with my Ex girlfriends. But there is something which you should put in your head at this moment. Having an affair with them without any bonds of marriage was our mutual decision. I didnt force anyone for sleeping with me nor did I force any girl for keeping a relation with me. Including Lavanya. We broke up because she started demanding things and ties which I didnt wish to extend with her. Supporting your friend Lavanya must have been easy for you Khushi but I will show you what how wrong you were in planning a revenge with your Best Friend's Boyfriend with whom you even didnt mind Sleeping."

He pushed her in anger making her fall on the floor before the Devi Maiyaa Idol. He was mad at her and his rage could even make him do worst which he never wanted.

Arnav: You have seen my Love Khushi. Now I challenge you, be ready to face the real Me. Because Arnav can still bear the rejection from you , ASR cant. If you would have denied me only because you never wished to marry a man who hardly believed in commitments, I would have understood your point of view. But you have played a game with me Khushi which I can never ever imagine. And you will pay for this. Very soon.

He walked out of that temple in no time leaving her alone. She had no idea how she should react at this time. Happy that her revenge is over? Or sad that she was not expecting an end like this. Was it true that she had started having feelings for her? Was it true that she had started loving him ? Can a man like him be eligible to be loved for lifetime?

Next Day

He didnt come home that night. He stayed out the whole night in his Car somewhere aloof from her thoughts, though he couldnt stop thinking about Khushi even for a second. All those days that he spent with her, made her jealous, played with her, slept with her was haunting his mind. All those nights when he was close to her and yet controlled his desires respecting her values seemed so fake today. He had messed up his own life. He was better alone than having a partner who could stab him for her best friend.

It was morning when he returned back to Shantivan. He could feel she was gone. She was gone from his house because she no longer belonged here. He hit his leg on the side table in anger making the contents over it fall down. He walked straight towards the room where she stayed all these days and he could only find it totally empty. She had taken everything from here. Why would she leave it? For whom would she leave it when she was just playing with his heart all these days?

He crashed down on her bed, careessing the bed sheets and remembering the times they were close enough here again and again.

Sheetal's House

Khushi was in Sheetal's house since last night. She didnt even speak a word after she came here with all her bags but today morning Sheetal forced her to tell what was suddenly wrong between her and Arnav which made her leave him and his house like this. Khushi blurted out the real reason of she coming here in India and it shocked Sheetal too.

Sheetal: Cant believe You can do this Khushi. How can you plan a tit for tat like this and that too with Arnav Singh Raizada. >?? Khushi this fight was not between you and him. It was between Lavanya and Him. She had to come face to face and fight with Arnav rather than pushing you into this. How could you agree for it Khsuhi?

Khushi didnt speak anything. SHe kept holding the Pillow in her hand and staring at one place.

Sheetal : And wait a minute. Do you wish to say all that you had with Arnav was false? It was all fake Khushi? I dont think so. I have seen that Love in your eyes for him. I dont believe you can cheat him after coming this long. He proposed you for marriage Khushi. Means he was serious. And what did you do? You left him for no one? How could you do that Khushi? Answer me.

She shook Khushi once to get answers from her but Khushi seemed disinterested.

Khushi: Its your Haldi today Sheetal. We should get ready for the evening function. All this can be talked later.
Sheetal: Later? When? Tomorrow is my marriage and you just told me your work is over here and hence you are leaving back for Ireland to SHyam and Anjali. When will we discuss this then?

Khushi kept the pillow aside and got up.

Khushi: Then may be NEVER. We will Never discuss this anymore Sheetal.

She left outside the room while Sheetal was still very much angry on her decision.

Shantivan

Sanjay was been told everything that happened between Arnav and Khushi by Sheetal. He was here to give Arnav little strength but was shocked to see Arnav dressed in White Kurta and smiling at him walking down the stairs.

Sanjay: Arnav?
Arnav: Hope I am not late for your Haldi. Why did you come ? You should have been in Sheetal's house by this time.
Sanjay could feel he was acting normal purposely.

Sanjay: Yes. I thought of taking my best friend along.
Arnav: Lets go. Everyone must be waiting for us. Specially our girls.

That was again a slip of tongue from Arnav. He was single. Wasnt he? After that heart break from Khsuhi, he was Single again. But it was affecting him still like Hell.
