Chapter 3
Arnav Singh Raizada always led a perfect life. He had his parents who always loved him, a brother for whom nothing else mattered more than him and a business empire that he built on his own starting from a scratch. If not less, he had a best friend who always considered him above everything else in her life.
He always got what he wanted.
He never heard no' from anyone be it his parents, his brother and his employees. For everyone, his words were the final words.
Somehow, that made him arrogant and proud enough that no one can ever deny anything to him. But the bubble has been burst.
He was rejected by the love of his life. He never planned on falling in love with Khushi and it wasn't like that he fell in love with her at first sight. They were after each other's life, throwing taunts at each other and teasing ever since Payal and Akash's alliance got fixed. He didn't know when he started enjoying it and started looking forward to their arguments.
He didn't know when he started noticing how Khushi's eyes flashed at his dangerously whenever she got angry, how her cute little nose turned red in anger and how her chest heaved as she took deep breaths to calm herself down.
At the end, he had fallen in love with Khushi. Too hard. And if he wasn't wrong Khushi felt the same about him.
"How can she say no' to me?" Arnav roared, toppling the coffee table over in his locked room. Deaf to the knocks on the door, he paced to and fro in his room seething in hurt, anger and rejection.
He was so sure that Khushi was going to accept the proposal. Where had he gone wrong? What made Khushi say no?
He was minutes away from pulling out his own hairs in desperation.
He halted however as he heard Lavanya's voice. He turned around, looking at the closed door as he heard Lavanya requesting him to open it.
He walked forward and opened the door quickly only to see Lavanya looking up at him in concern "Arnav, are you okay?"
He nodded walking back, facing away from her. Following him, Lavanya walked in and grabbed his hand making him face her "What happened? Aunty called me saying that you have locked yourself in the room."
He shook his head denying it straightaway "Lavanya, I am fine. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with your mom?"
"Mom said that she is alright and definitely don't need me babysitting her so I came. Now you tell me what happened?"
Arnav closed his eyes and whispered "She said no'."
Lavanya's eyes widened as her mouth fell open in shock "WHAT? Khushi said no?"
Arnav nodded, looking crestfallen. She looked around and threw her hand in air frustration "But you said that she loves you."
"I know I said that dammit. Don't know what happened today? She looked tensed as if she got to know something today only." Arnav replied looking restless.
"So that means she doesn't love you?" Lavanya asked confusedly making Arnav roll his eyes.
"Have you sent your brain and ears on vacations, Lavanya? I didn't say that she doesn't love me. I know that she loves me. What I don't know is why she said no?" Arnav replied heatedly.
"Did you tell her that you love her?"
Arnav looked at Lavanya, taken aback and answered in a small voice "No, I didn't."
Lavanya gasped before walking to him and pulling his ear "And you call me stupid, Arnav? How the hell that poor girl is going to accept marrying you without knowing that you love her? She might have thought that your parents only wanted her to marry you and maybe you love someone else."
"Ouch...it is so? Stop twisting my ear." Slapping her hand away from his ear, Arnav grumbled.
"Then go and confess to her, dammit. You are such a thick head." Lavanya exclaimed, walking away with Arnav in tow.
Only Lavanya Kashyap can treat him like that and can get away with it, with Arnav still running after her.

Payal Gupta always had a calm and balanced life. She hated chaos and unexpected surprises to the core. If anyone asked which would be the worst moment of her life, she would pin-point to the present.
She loved her sister too much to be true. Yeah between her and Khushi, sibling rivalry was present but on a level of negligence. They were each other's support whenever trouble came down on their life. Payal was not ashamed to admit that her little sister, Khushi is the better and selfless girl between the two of them.
Payal knew that Khushi is not a person who will take decisions on an impulse. She always weighted all the pros and cons before deciding anything. Khushi always did what her parents wanted her to do, never saying no' to them so it came as the biggest shock of Payal's life to see Khushi refusing Raizada's proposal.
What could be the reason, Payal wondered as she tried to calm down a crying Khushi. Her heart pinched seeing how Khushi's eyes were red and swollen. She looked upward praying to the almighty for her sister's happiness.
"And then he said that how can I do this. How can you expect me to agree to this proposal, Payal?" Khushi cried bitterly after opening her heart to Payal.
She had told Payal everything as Payal refused to budge away from her without knowing the whole matter. Reluctantly she started telling Payal everything and now she felt better after revealing everything to her sister.
"Khushi, can I ask you something?" Payal asked, hesitated a bit. Khushi looked up and nodded uncertainly not saying anything.
"Are you sure that Arnav loves her? I mean from what Akash told me, Arnav always do what he wish to do. He never succumbs to any kind of pressure from his parents for anything. If he would have loved Lavanya, then he could have told his parents the same. I think that you should talk to him." Payal explained, hoping her sister to see some sense.
Khushi blinked her eyes softly, taking in Payal's words before wiping her tears away. She nodded making Payal get up, caress her hairs affectionately.

Khushi Kumari Gupta had a secret that no one knew. Two years ago, when she had to join her father's business after completing her education, everyone told her to quit dance classes which she did rather half-heartedly.
What no one knew was that every Thursday morning, she went to her dance classes secretly letting no one get inkling about the same. Like every other week, she had escaped from her house making an excuse.
She left in her car to the place that she worshipped and loved, determined to clear her mind of every trouble and pain. Dance always helped her in picking herself up to face the life.
However, an hour later when she came out forgetting all her worries and problems, the smile that has formed on her lips fell.
Because in front of her stood Arnav Singh Raizada. Fear clouded her eyes as she saw him turn to her and smirk devilishly. This was so not good.
"Hey honey."
Don't forget to tell me how you find it? Since my college got started, I can manage to update this story only once a week and readers don't forget that this SS won't have many chapters. I started this story this month and will end it in this month as well.
