Sheesh Mahal - Lucknow

Shyam: Khushi humne apna waada pura kar diya. Yeh rahe aapke Pati aapke saamne. (Khushi. I fulfiled my promise. Here is your husband before you)

Before Shyam could leave her hand, Arnav moved his hand towards her shocking everyone standing there. He touched her wrist purposely making her flinch and move back , looking straight in his eyes with confusion and fear.

Arnav: Looks like your sister isnt happy seeing her husband Shyam.

Khushi had no words to speak . She remained silent looking down all the while. It was strange feeling for her to accept some unknown person who married her forcibly without even her concern, drugging her and for taking the revenge from her brother. But will this enemity between her brother and her husband be sorted now? Or are they both just faking things here. ??

Daayimaa made Khushi sit beside her Shyam and Nani and Arnav were sitting opposites.

Shyam: So its decided then. We are leaving tomorrow early morning from here back to Delhi.

Arnav: Now.!! We are leaving now Shyam.!!

Daayimaa: Now? But we havnt even packed Khushi's stuffs.

Arnav: She doesnt need to carry anything much. I will arrange her things there.

Nani: But why so much hurry CHotte ? We can wait for a day atleast.

Arnav: This place sucks Nani. And you know how much I hate even to breathe air here . We are going today and thats final. I have told Di to make all arrangements there.

Daayimaa looks at Khushi who is still looking disturbed to go with this man and his so called family. She touched Khushi's cheeks.

Daayimaa: You okay Bitiya?

Khushi just walked off that place giving no answers to anyone. Arnav seemed to be confused with her behaviour and so was Shyam. Daayimaa followed her to ensure she was alright. She saw Khushi joining her palms , closing her eyes and speaking to the Photo of her Father and mother.

Khushi: Today your daughter needs your blessings Amma Babuji, I know you will always support me in every step of my life. But I am still feeling uneasy to take this most important path towards my husband and his family in Delhi. Please give me enough strength to accept him and his family and to give them immense love and care that they always deserved.

Daayimaa was emotional. She came and clutched Khushi's shoulders.

Daayimaa: Your Amma and Babuji are always with you bitiya. You dont need to ask them for blessings.

Khushi smiled and hugged Daayimaa tight. She was very much tensed on what the future beholds for her in that new family.

Evening - Sheesh Mahal

Arnav opened the car door for his Nani to get inside. Khushi was still hugging Daayimaa and crying her heart out for getting seperated like this. For some unknown reasons , Arnav did feel a pull towards this girl who was his wife now. But the next moment when he saw Shyam standing right beside her and asking her to stop crying, all that pull changed into hate again and he was about to sit inside the Car when he heard her calling him. That too in a very traditional style

Khushi: Suniyee.

That Suniyee sounded sugary sweet and he turned back to know if she meant him or someone else. She was looking at him and probably she wanted to tell him something. He stood there waiting to know why she stopped him. Even Shyam and Daayimaa were surprised. She came running towards him and then stood before him.

Khushi: Daayi Maa is like a mother to me. She took care of me from past many years.

Arnav : So?

Khushi: So I think being my husband you should also take her blessings. She is elder to us.

Arnav: What nonsense. I am here to take you back otherwise this family means nothing to me. Not even your Daayi maa. If you are done with your good bye's then just get inside the car.

She was shocked to know how cruel he was in such terms. How can he insult her Daayi Maa like that so openly? She turned behind to see her Daayimaa's low face and her brother fuming in anger. Not wishing to increase the problems here between her brother and Arnav, she thought of giving up this topic . She waved her hand and then sat inside the Car beside Nani who till now had not even spoke a word to her.

The entire way back to Delhi was silent and She had no idea why everyone were treating her like she is not present between them? Except her Bhai no one else in the Car talked to her. She thought of ignoring this for the time being. She glanced at her husband from the mirror who was driving but he seemed to be very much disinterested in her. She knew this was a Hate marriage and only because of enemity with her brother, he married her like that but if he still wished to continue the same, why was he taking her along with him?

In next few hours of tiresome journey they reached Delhi and now Shyam was very much tensed as finally the time had come when he would have to introduce Anjali to Khushi. He knew Khushi will be having many questions and she will never forgive him for hiding his marriage from her. May be she even stops talking to him for some time. But he had to tell her before others does. He wanted to tell her the half truth in Sheesh Mahal only but he feared that knowing this, she may not be ready to come to Delhi which he was against of. They all got down from the Car and Nani asked the Servants to take their luggages inside. Everyone were staring at Khsuhi who was in the Red Green Bridal dress thinking who she can be. None of the servants knew here she was Arnav's wife. They continued taking the luggages inside and the other 4 started walking towards the entrance. Shyam was expecting Anjali to be sleeping at the moment as it was little late. It was already 10:00 pm and hence he thought of talking to Khushi about Anjali tonight but to his shock when the doors of Raizada Mansion was opened, they saw Anjali in a rich saree holding the Thali in her hand to welcome Chotte's bride. She smiled happily seeing them. Shyam was stuck now whereas Nani and Arnav gave a weak smile to Anjali.

Anjali saw Khushi who was still looking down. Anjali pulled her chin up and Khushi saw her. Anjali smiled and her smile made Khushi smile too.

Anjali : Welcome Khushi Bhabhi. This is your home now.

She circled the thali making Arnav and Khushi stand together for sometime. She then asked Khushi to get inside. She placed her right foot forward and stepped in with Arnav .

Arnav: Di you should have rested. Did you have your medicines?

Anjali ; Haan Chotte. Now stop asking about my health and concentrate on the rituals. Your newly wed wife is here and I am in all mood to celeberate this occassion.

Khushi: Di??

She looked at Arnav waiting for him to introduce her to this lady.

Anjali: Haan Di. Didnt Chotte tell you he has an elder sister? Yours is a Love marriage right then why didnt he tell you about our family ?

Shyam smirked as Arnav was in a problem explaining the truth to his sister but Arnav handled it carefully.

Arnav: Di I had told her. But she keeps forgetting sometimes. We are very tired Di. So I think we should rest and skip all these rituals for tomorrow. Please ?

Shyam wanted the same as that would get some time for him to explain Khushi about Anjali.

Anjali; Okay baba. Hum samjhte hai sab kuch. You both are eager for the Suhaagraat naa?

She gigled while Arnav clenched his jaw at this thought. Khushi on the other hand was confused on what was happening? Love marriage? Who told Arnav's sister that theirs was a Love marriage?

Nani: Anjali bitiya lets get the bride inside. She really must be exhausted with this journey.

Anjali: Okay theek hai. But then I dont want to skip the important part of this Grihapravesh rasam. CHotte will have to carry Khsuhi all the way upstairs to his room from here.

Arnav: What The.

Khushi shivered and clutched Shyam's hand feeling how this lady can ask them to perform this ritual? Doesnt she know what her brother did?? Doesnt she know about the enemity between her brother and Shyam.??

Khushi: Yeh hum nahi kar sakte. (We cannot do this)

Anjali's face saddened hearing that. Why was this bride denying was her question but Arnav covered it up holding Khsuhi's hand and then making her look at him.

Arnav: Stop shying Khushi. Its a Raizada tradition. And we have to follow each one of it. Kuch apne liye. Kuch humaare gharwaalo ke liye. (Stop shying Khushi. Its a Raizada tradition. And we have to follow each one of it. Some for us and some for the family)

She had no clue why he said something like that to her with so much of love when he didnt even uttered a single word to her before reaching home.

Shyam: Rani Saheba he must be tired. Its okay.

Arnav: Itna bhi thak nahi gaya ki apni biwi ko utha naa sakun. (Not that tired that I cannot pick my Wife in arms)

SHe was picked by him in his arms and Anjali was enjoying her brother's love for his wife. She moved aside and Arnav kept staring at Khushi who was little hesitating to touch him and hold him, though his fingers were lingering on her bare waist. She had no choice but to hold him as he started walking up the stairs. It was clearly written on his face that he was faking it. But for whom ? She kept on looking at his face while he concentrated ahead.

He pushed his room door opened. His room was decorated with roses everywhere and the bed was extra special today fully covered with rose petals. He angrily dropped her down almost making her wince in pain and then locked the door from inside.

Khushi: What is wrong with you ? Why did you pick me in front of everyone when you hated me and my brother so much?

He was already in a bad mood and her questions made him more mad. He clutched her arms and pulled her close to him. He had no mercy on her today. He felt like tearing this girl's soul apart by enforcing his right on her tonight but there was something which didnt let him do that. She kept on whimpering as his hold was very tight.

Arnav: You think I did all this for you ? Dont be in any misunderstanding Khushi. There is no one in my life except Di whom I really care for. I did all this to save her Life. Mujhe tumhare hone yeah naa hone se koi faraq nahi padta. Mujhe uss shaadi se koi faraq nahi padta joh maine dhoke se tumhaare saath ki. You dont even exist for me. Samjhi tum?
