Part 26

Days After

After what is compared to some leaps and bounds in their lives the four couples were on track in their marriage life working for a better relationship reducing the bitterness that prevailed over a period of time. One year of married life had been a big experience for all of them. It can't be a smooth ride as one thinks but a real rough ride where in you have to give into all the experiences in life. Two souls come into one bond culminating all their likes and dislikes sacrificing some, accepting some and further giving in wholly into a relationship.. When one of the half turns it down there creates a rift between them even though the other tries to mend it. Sacrifices, arguments, acceptance are bound to happen for a healthy family life which is of course learnt in course of time. The greatest blunder happens when people defy each other not willing to give it a chance to work on the relationship giving it a thought to give some time where by resulting in separation and dejection. The moment you stamp a relationship disposing it from your life there is no hope that you will succeed in the next. Given a chance its better to work on it rather than wailing over the spilt milk.

Anjali closed the book she was reading sighing in a high note as the moments of her rather jittery past crossed over. She had expected a very smooth serene love life with her husband. Though he hadn't shown any scorn attitude towards her before the truth about him had shattered her to the core. She closed her eyes leaning on the headboard after caressing the little one who was sleeping beside her in the bed. An introspection into the heart which had answers.

Did she love Shyam?

Yes .. more than anyone can imagine.

Why did she trust him so much?

She was convinced with the fact that his love was far more respectable as he had agreed to love her inspite of her physical ailment.

Now after all this happened does she trust him?

She wasn't able to make out a clear answer but she knew he was genuine which revealed in his eyes unlike the time after their marriage. He had started sharing his office news, all those happening outside, he has started to care for his wife and daughter.. and he literally behaves like a normal husband.

Was she giving him a chance only because of her daughter to keep this marriage intact? Doesn't she love him the remanats of the love she showered on him before?

She shook her head thinking how it would be better if they lived a life without all the past clouding in between them and the same kind of happiness pervading in their relationship.

She clutched her hair bringing in the emotions she had for him. Whatever had happened in the past, how much ever she showed a faade of hating him there was a innocent heart inside which pounded for him, for his one touch like the same old Anjali who used to be submissive for his flirty talks. Can she show him the love like before? After all suppressing her love is gonna waste her life as well as his.

Just as she thought of him, he entered the room with a big bunch of bags inside. He made sure he doesn't disturb his raajkumari and placed the bags on the side. Soon she saw some people entering inside with a beautiful crib. He ordered them to place the crib on the sidewhich had some colourful hangings for the baby to play. He continuously warned them to be silent so that the baby doesn't wake up. As they left he turned towards Anjali who looked at him perplexed.

SHyam : I thought she needed one crib with some colourful play toys that's why I bought.

Anjali stood from her position to question him..

Anjali : But whats the need? She is comfortable in our bed.

Shyam : Rani saheba, she has to enjoy the luxury she has.. why do you resist that?

Anjali : But this is not your own money Shyamji.

Shyam smiled and took her hands in his. He knew what she was hinting and it was his duty to clear off her doubts.

Shyam : I am working hard Anjali.. I grabbed a big deal for our company today. INfact the last two months the productivity has increased and it has been attributed to my hardwork. I had bought this for my daughter from my own hard earned money.. Please trust me.

Of all the happiness she had ever got in her life this made her really proud for the first time. A responsible father and husband talking to her. He had pleaded her to believe him which shone in his eyes. A sincere attempt to prove his worth which really held him in a better position in her heart. She nodded in agreement as an acceptance of his very sincere effort. All she could do was rest her head on his chest devouring such sweet moments of her life giving the chance to him as well as herself. The demarcation of a cheat who was trying to win her with his talks and a sincere husband who was trying to prove himself was clearly evident for her. He felt a sense of tranquility wrapping over him as he got his wife showing her love after so much had happned in their life. A first step to their mutual reciprocation of love which he had hoped would harldy happen. He wrapped arms around her not interested to let out this golden moment off his hand closing his eyes.Hoping for a life where she can create a bed of roses atleast for some moments she wrapped her arms on him feeling a kind of bliss within herself.

More than what Payal thought she was getting pampered in the house especially with Manorma who was literally carrying her on her shoulders. A mother's love which she expected was getting to show in Manorama since the news had reached her ears. She too had apprehensions on why so much happiness clouded her life together again. The reply was a simple smile from AKash who caressed her hair lovingly.

Akash : Don't make it hard on you by thinking the reasons. Let enjoy the what is given to you Payal. The news of our baby has brought smile to everyone and you should be happy that this has become a turning point in your life.

Payal nodded in agreement as she snuggled more to him getting the warmth from her ever loving husband.

The mornings were a routine where in she would be asked to drink some juices which Manorama prepares and she would be given lots of fruits to eat. Her morning sickness had really taken a toll over her and it would be Manorama who sits beside her comforting every morning. She often tried to take pills for stopping the morning sickness but Manorama had readily denied as she had some conventional home remedies for the same. It did give a lot of relief which she used to thank Manorama for really taking care so much. She wasn't allowed to do any job as the doctor had hinted she was really weak and after all these complications it was better to take proper bed rest. She would always be accompanied by someone or other who would take care of the needs. Her time would pass by when she requests Anjali to give Anu to look after but there were restrictions to carry Anu at this time too. She almost felt suffocated with this over protectivness of the family but the blessed feeling of getting such a loving family made her fly in cloud nine.

One day the craving of some sweet delicacies made her move into the kitchen once. She looked over the fridge and other places to get something really sweet. On the top of the shelf she found some halwa being stored in the container. As there were no one near by to get it she climbed over a small stool to get it but accidentally her hand which was holding support of the slab slipped and her stomach was going to hit the slab. Two pair of arms held the stomach from getting hit and out of fear she looked into the person who saved her life. It was her mother in law who was angrily staring at her.

Manorama : Payal.. Havent I told you not to get out of the room? If I hadn't reached here now what would have happned?

This situation had really scared Payal and she was on the verge of shedding tears. It was true that she was a fool to do such an act without thinking for a second.

Payal : I am sorry Ma.. I wanted to eat something sweet so .. I .. I am sorry..

He felt her lowering her head and getting her lips near his ears which made him stop doing everything and concentrate what she intended to do . Her breathe still fanned his cheeks and he was somewhere getting a hint of what all this meant.

Khushi: I want to see you and me in Bali.. Walking hand in hand along the beachside ..

His eyes sparkled with hope as he could see she was mending their relationship once again. He turned his head to see her while she wrapped her arms possessively around his neck from behind.

Arnav: Kab chale?

Khushi: Jab aap chaho.!! I am free anytime for spending those moments with you again Arnav.

Arnav was more than satisfied when she said this and he also recieved a complimentary gift after her confession which was a Hard kiss on his cheek from her with that amazing sound, which was the proof of her need for him. He pulled her in front making her sit on his lap. She quickly wrapped her arms over his shoulder.

Arnav: You are not playing with me right?

Khushi: Look in my eyes. You think I will ever do that?

Arnav smiled and holding her hand he softly kissed her knuckles.

Arnav: But Khushi whatever the truth was that I hide from you about me and Shalini, you never forgave me for that yet. I don't want us to restart this before giving a closure to our past. You know it can hit our relationship later sometime and we shouldn't regret it.

Khushi: As far as I remember Arnav, I dont think there is any need of words to be shared to show the other person is forgiven. We are a couple and such fights do happen. I know this matter was not that light but I no more wish to lament over it. What happened was the past and now all I wish is to live a happy peaceful future with you. True that I was little insecured when I saw a photo of yours with another girl.A blunder that I had committed was that was before you had married me rather even met me. As you said I was your true love and I realized it so late.

She kissed his forehead remembering all those bitter memories which she wanted to erase from their life.

Khushi : I have seen you in the naming ceremony of Anu. The way you held her in your arms and kissed her made me realise how much you love babies. You always wished to have a baby soon between us whom we could proudly name as the proof of our Love. Till date I have always hurted you more than you deserved. It was my Sin not to see the love you showered on me after marriage, Not even once you have showed any kind of dishonesty towards me or our relationship. You did everything for my sake and look at me. I didnt even care for all that once and left you and this house at such a crucial stage of our lives. I am sorry Arnav. Just forgive me for all that and accept me back in your life as your wife!!! In all terms.!!

Tears blurred her vision but not for long. Her husband wiped her tears kissing her forehead once and then hugged her gently. She sobbed in between caressing his back.

Arnav: I thought there was nothing left in our relation now. It had turned completely shallow when you left me after knowing the truth Khushi. Thanks for coming back to me. I missed you like Hell!! I love you !! Please don't leave me again.

Khushi pressed him tight against her body responding back.

Khushi: I love you too Arnav..

They stayed like that for long and after which he carried her in his arms and took her to the bed to show her in terms of some initimacy how much he desired her in his life..

Lavanya had just finished her bathe and was searching now for NK who was still not in the room since the time she had come back from work. Where was he? Was he even at home? Yes he was then why didnt he come back to their room? She quickly wiped her hair after her night shower and then tieing the Robe ends she came directly to the Kitchem. To her surprise NK was arranging the food which probably he cooked for her .

Lavanya: NK? Whats all this?

NK: Ohh. Hey Sweetie. You back?

Lavanya: I am back since an hour but what are you doing here? I thought since I am late you will be ordering something from out for the Dinner.

NK: Yeah I thought so before but then you know nothing can impress a wife other than food cooked by her husband.

He quickly moved behind her hugging her and then fiddling with that Knot of her robe. She gigled when he tried to open it and pushed him back

Lavanya: Control NK. And I wont let you do anything until you tell me whats cooked for the Dessert?

NK opened the bowl showing her what she always craved for . She yelled out in happiness jumping on her husband and kissing his cheeks once.

Lavanya: Rasgulla? Wow Darling . You are damm good in this. I love you..

NK fed her one Rasgulla responding back.

NK: I love you more than you do. But know what Lavanya, all this happiness we are getting today is all because of Arnav bhai. if he wouldnt have supported you and helped us building thiks gap , I am sure we would have faced the worst by today.

Lavanya : I agree. Jeeju really has done a lot for us. Infact he is always like that. He always has done best for his family. We should thank him..

NK: After you.! (he said giving his phone to her )

She chuckled and quickly dialed Arnav's number not realising it would be late night by then in India..

Khushi had snuggled her husband like a baby snuggles its mother. They had just slept few minutes back after spending some real good time making Love. He managed to move his hand and pick the call ensuring his wife isnt disturbed by that.

Arnav: Hello.

Lavanya : Jeeju?

Arnav: Hey Lavanya.. All good?

Lavanya : Oops. I didnt realise this.. It must be late night there.. Sorry Jeeju.. Will ring you tomorrow.. Happy sleeping..

Arnav: No.. Wait.. Thats fine.. Tell me.. Is all okay there? I mean is Mr& Mrs. Raizada back on track?

Lavanya: Yes.. Actually me and NK wanted to Thank you Jeeju.. If you hadn't given me this chance.. I don't think we would have ever thought of reconciling again.

NK(Screaming from the other end ): Thanks Bhai!!

Arnav (smiled and hugged Khsuhi tight who squirmed in his arms): Most welcome.!! And I didnt do much Lavanya. You guys were destined to be together always. Thats why you are with him today.. And please do think twice before arguments. Such serious arguments should be sorted out somehow.. Anyways pass the phone to NK.

Lavanya : Yeah one minute..

She passed the phone and NK thanked him again..

Arnav: Its okay brother? So when are you going to make me an uncle again?

NK (Chuckled): Excuse me.. I am after you boss. First make me Chachu then I shall think about your promotion. Vaise you are already a chachu for Anu and Bade Papa for Akash's baby. So when are we getting a chotu ASR?

Arnav scanned Khushi's sleeping face and blushed a bit remembering her little antics while she made love to him today..

Arnav: Yeah.. Your wishes will be granted soon.. I think.. He smirked thinking of teasing him.

NK: Wow.. Congrats..!! We wont disturb you both then.. Anyways.. lets talk later.. Good night.

Arnav: Yup.. Bye..!!

He cut the call throwing his phone bak on side table and cuddled more into his wife for a peaceful sleep. A sleep which he had missed for a long time which he felt that was for years..
